- BeneFireAustralia2 contributionsThis experience was captivating. I haven't been to my hometown since I was a little kid. This remarkable moment sparked me. Nostalgia filled my body. This is not only a square, it has picturesque scenery everywhere.
First, right in the centre of the square, you'll find an enormous area, dedicated to a fountain. Every day at 7 pm, the fountain will activate, pumping water into the air. Some of the water jets can spring up to approximately 20 meters high (this is not a hyperbole). Many people come to see this and if you are on a plane, at 5000-10000 feet in the sky, the luminous LED lights of the fountain are beautiful.
Many people say it is just a square, but it is more than that. There is a massive monument that is shaped like a banana. This place is ideal for taking selfies or the idyllic view of the coast.

Laohutan Scenic Park is also known by locals as Tiger Beach (Laohutan) Ocean Park. It is a recreational park with activities for the whole family. - LeeAnne Waddell23 contributionsWe visited Dalian zoo in October and as in most tourist places, it was very busy, but the area is big enough to accomodate many people. The animals are well looked after in good cages but the walking distance between some of the animals is quite far so wear good walking shoes. There are beautiful wooden decks above most of the animal attractions and these provide good viewing spots and good platfoms for taking photos of the animals. The variety of animals is huge. There is a coach ride through the south end of the park but standing in the que is not worth the time rather walk the route along the road or the wooden decks. The square has the park & is surrounded by the very nice picturesque buildings which are mainly converted in to banks currently. A nice place to go for morning walk.
