The grocery section of Sogo has a corner kiosk that seems to focus on pop-up kitchens. They change regularly. This time the pop-up kitchen is Lobster Boss. Serving lobster, crab and shrimp rolls along with a mix of each, they say they use Canadian seafood. Which makes sense as they are run by Steak King, a company that sells frozen seafood and meat online. Rolls are all priced at $140. They also offer sides and drinks. Menu is in English and Chinese. It's takeaway only though I did see a couple eating at the side.On Thursdays they have a promo where they provide you with free Burt's Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar chips. To clarify, it's actually 50g of chips. This is no stated. I thought it was a whole bag as I saw so many on display. But after ordering, they told me it's only 50g. I felt this should be more clearly stated somewhere.The packaging was a bit clumsy. They literally put this whole thing in a bag so you must be careful while walking off with it. This is good if there was a place to eat nearby but for takeaway, this sort of packaging just doen't work. Good thing I live close by so it wasn't destroyed when I got home. It was ok. The bun was toasted and it was packed with a lot of lobster meat. Large chunks as well. It could do with a bit more butter, mayo and maybe some herbs to seasong it up? Otherwise, this is just lobster between bread. It was ok. I guess for $140, I expected better but then this is also Hong Kong where I've yet to find a decent lobster roll. The chips were great. I generally like kettle chips.Service was very friendly. They even offer you free cup of Bonaqua water while you wait for your oder. And they even retoasted my bun as they told me they burnt it. Honest. I like that. They tell you to reheat in the microwave or oven if you want it warm. Might come back to try a shrimp or crab one. Or a mix of both.
