This hotel was very nice, clean, and accommodating. It was close by the subway, shopping, and other tourist attractions. There was always staff on site who were fluent in English. I lost my atm card during my stay in China and one of the male managers at the front desk even offered to loan me some money until my return trip to China! A+++

We visited this hotel as we were attending a trade fair in Guangzhou, the location in proximity to the trade show was excellent. There were some decent restaurants and shops within walking distance to the hotel. The hotel had some really good restaurants but no bar which was a bit odd.

I already prepaid and got the final confirmation voucher from hotel. Then staff cancelled my booking 2 days after that with the reason following that she gave me

"sorry to tell you that as during your stay, rooms are limited and almost fully booked.
so hotel raised up the price.
so now we have to refund your payment to you ."

How come it happened ? and she expect me to pay about 30% more with new booking.

I called hotel from my country to complain about this and I asked for the offer price that I shouldn't have to pay more or at least pay a little more because I have to go to this hotel anyway

and when I ask her she can't make a decision so I would like to talk to someone who can make the decision THEN she intentionally hung up the phone to me 3 times.

What do you think? What is the hotel policy? Do you have service training? Do you expect that your staff can hang up the phone on customer?

Hanging up a phone on a person is one of the most disrespectful things a person can do.

I am really disappointed. So sorry if only one of your staff break all of the hotel's reputation.

I loved this hotel, it was truly a great find in the large city, convenient location, very good size rooms, fantastic breakfast buffet and great pool! The only slight drawback was the English language, but keep in mind it's their second or third language. I highly recommend this property

I visit this hotel during the canton fair:

CONS:
1. The hotel starts at the 30th floor. When the hotel is full extreme waiting times for the small elevators. So will not go again during canton fair.
2. No business center
3. Terrible service. My locker was defect - had to wait for over 1 hour.
4. Not so much to do in the area.
5. No lobby bar/counter for a quick drink/sandwich or else

PRO's:
1. Very close to the Pazhou complex (10 minutes by taxi)
2. Good views
3. Good rooms (but no individual controlled airco!)
4. Fresh fruit
5. Fast Wifi if secret route is used (and google - ask assistance)
6. They do some performance acts, extra's during Canton Fair which is nice.

If you want a good room, at a good location, and nothing else. This might be it. If you want a nice bar, extra service for business, good food and strong English staff, don't go to this (Chinese) hotel.

It was our first time traveling to Guanghzou for the Canton Fair 2012. This hotel was an excellent choice. The hotel is located only a short (taxi)drive from the fair (about 5-10 minutes).
We booked a standard room, but upgraded for an extra RMB 380 per room to a suite with Club Lounge facilities. The room is just perfect! Spacious and very convient. The bed is kingsize (!) and the pillows big and comfy.
The only negative thing is that there is no Wifi in room! For a business hotel this is a huge minus. Also when you turn on the TV in the bedroom, the one in the living area also switches on!! Which means that you have to keep getting out of bed to switch it back off. Not very customer friendly.
The staff is very helpful, but their English is not really good.
Overall a good hotel, but a little expensive for China!! We paid RMB 4250 per room per night (1 person per room).

The room had a nice river view and had everything we needed. Except that the toiletries were only for one person. The bathroom clearly cried for renovation (broken shower but very innovative toilet).
Some of our rooms (there were 10 rooms booked in total) were booked for two persons, however the breakfast was only for one person (the other person had to pay extra). Breakfast buffet was amazing!
The staff barely speaks English, so it was very difficult :(
It is located further from the city centre, but quite close to the exhibition centre. Easy to reach by taxi.

Around US$28 per person - most definitely worth it. Amazing food.

I took a taxi as well. I always traveled with the address of the hotel in Chinese. Just hand it to the drive. The hotel has business cards made up for that purpose, you can get them from the door man. Make sure that the driver turns on the meter. If you don't you will likely end up over paying for your ride.

We booked it through the hotel which wasn't the cheapest option I'm sure but they meet you at the gate.
