Let me start with "I really like the Celebrity Cruises package", this cruise didn't hold a candle to previous cruises with them. It all starts with the Concierge team that are supposed to contact you before your sailing so that you can request drinks for your room and also book your meal for the first night; on this particular trip they did not contact us, we contacted them and the requests got ignored completely (not a great start). When it comes to your retreat host, this is the thing that will make or break your cruise. We have had amazing retreat hosts over the years but alas on this trip it was not the case although he did try to make up for a lack of service on the last couple of days. This particular ship is starting to show its age and the maintenance is not what you would expect (showers leaked and when we ran the jacuzzi bath brown stuff came out of the air jets). We have used the living room sofa bed multiple times in the past on other ships without any problems but the one provided for this ship was terrible and old and had seen better days. We told the retreat hosts this and it took until day 3 before they provided us with and made up a rollaway bed. Celebrity used to have in room childcare, which my daughter loved but they have removed this service so be warned. This service seems to come and go randomly so please check with Celebrity if this is something you have used in the past. As a suite guest, we are supposed to be able to order food pretty much from anywhere at any time but on this ship during this cruise this was simply a joke (yet again might have just come down to the Retreat host). We only ordered food from the standard in room dining menu once and it took an hour to come which is ridiculous considering it was just two dishes for breakfast. If you order wine for your room, you should be allowed to bring a bottle of wine with you to a restaurant (we have done this many times before on previous cruises). It might be that the boat only has 1 or 2 bottles of a specific wine so it is logical to purchase them, put them in your room and then either ask your retreat host to bring a bottle to a certain restaurant or you can bring a bottle to a restaurant. On this cruise this seemed to be a major problem and to be honest the wine waiter in Tuscan Grille created such a fuss that it ruined the cruise. I would like to say that not everything on this cruise was bad, far from it. All the staff in Luminae were excellent (especially the wine waiter). The waiter in Tuscan Grille made our daughters holiday fantastic (every day he would show her a magic trick or make her an animal out of a napkin; just the best waiter ever!). The lady bartender in the retreat lounge was superb as was the retreat host in the retreat lounge. I would also like the chance to say that Sushi on five was outstanding. I originally wrote this review and sent it directly to Celebrity but they have not taken the time to contact me so I figured I will write it for everyone to see.…

This was a great 7 night trip from Ft. Lauderdale. We went to Key West, Belize, Cozumel and Grand Caymen, We took tours at all of the stops except Cozumel, were our family went to a beach within walking distance of the ship. The tours around the islands were very good, except Belize, where they reallty did not show any of the nicer places in the city, mostly the poor areas.…

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT book this cruise ship. It's an old ship that needs to be retired permanently. Below you will find the lengthy review I sent to Celebrity in response to their survey. As of 4/8/24, we still have not received the 30% refund we were promised on the ship and the folks at the 844# are feigning ignorance like they have no idea what we're talking about. "This was hands down the worst cruise experience I’ve ever had (and I’m an avid cruiser.) This was my first experience with Celebrity. Unfortunately, it was an extremely poor first impression. Let’s start with the big issues first. On this trip, we experienced 2 separate power outages. These outages affected our electricity (no air conditioning, lights, etc.), the outage killed our WiFi access, shut off our access to water and we could not take showers. Unacceptable, to say the least. Again, it happened not once but twice. Prior to boarding, we purchased WiFi packages totaling almost $250 and went 2 days without WiFi access. After multiple visits to guest services and the "tech team", we finally got things squared away. With that being said, I fully expect to be credited (and not for a future cruise but an actual refund back to my credit card) equaling 2 days worth of WiFi for 2 devices. Next, the communication regarding the excursions was poor. Our first night, prior to going to bed, we realized we had no idea when or where to meet for our pre-purchased excursions to Key West. I called guest services for more information and was met with attitude. I was told all the information was ALREADY provided to me in the tickets that were delivered to my door. I apologized, asked her to hold while I retrieved my tickets from said door, only to find no tickets at my door. At this point her tone changes, she then apologizes and lets me know I will have my tickets within 20 minutes. I check 20 minutes later and found my tickets at the door. Bimini excursions were cancelled because the ship was not strong enough to dock. Per the captain's announcement himself, this was due to the "ship's limitations." Two nights before disembarkation, we receive bag tags with the number 1 on them. According to the newsletter, tag numbers 1-9 were for guest with “independent travel arrangements.” I call guest services again to clarify. I advised her that we have an excursion after the cruise. We paid for, and were scheduled for, a tour of Miami which would drop us off at the Miami airport at the conclusion. She literally tells me, “No you do not.” I explain to her this excursion was purchased a month ago. She puts me on hold to check, comes back and asks me, “Did you purchase your excursion in the app?” I confirm that I did. Then she points blame at the housekeeping crew and tells me new bag tags will arrive tomorrow. I ask her to explain why we keep running into issues with the excursions. This was the 2nd time tickets were not delivered and we almost got routed to the wrong location for debarkation. If purchasing excursions through the app is so problematic, then maybe this option should be eliminated. She then admits it was a miscommunication between guest services and housekeeping. The next day, no new bag tags were delivered. I had to call guest services again for the same request. The service from guest services on this ship was sloppy and negligent at best. We also experienced our housekeeper entering our room multiple times unannounced. He claims he knocked. You mean to tell me we didn’t hear him knock on 5 separate occasions? One of those times one of us was undressed and another time I was laying on the bed closest to the door and never heard him. We didn’t even feel safe in our own room. I reported this to guest services and 10 minutes later had our housekeeper (knocking loudly this time) coming to confront me about reporting him. That’s all he seemed concerned about. Not sorry for entering our room unannounced but upset because this complaint was now on his “record” with his boss. I stood my ground and advised him that we needed to wok together and come up with a better system (I.e. he needed to knock louder). His rebuttal was that if he knocks too loud the guests in nearby cabins will get upset with him? Are you serious? My solution was to keep the “Deep Sleep” (their version of the do not disturb) sign on the door when we were inside. Back to the excursions, on the morning of debarkation we arrive at Sushi on Five. Based on the instructions in the newsletter that is where the folks with bag tag #10 should go. Those are the bag tags (#10) that were delivered to our room to replace the original ones (#1). Our excursions would end with them dropping us off at the airport. At the debarkation meeting point is when we were notified that the excursion was cancelled!! No one informed us prior to this. No one explained to us why it was cancelled . No one provided other options for us to get to the airport. Just like that, we were on our own to figure tings out. We go to guest service to ask for an explanation. She tells us no reason was provided fo the cancellation and that this was the 4th she's seen tis excursion cancelled abruptly with no explanation. I'm thinking, "Then why do they keep offering it to guests!?" I fully expect that should a cancellation of this magnitude take place, someone should have called our room and/ left us a voice message or a note on the door for us to report to guest services ASAP. But none of that happened. During the trip we had a sales voicemail message left for us. So they can call and leave messages to sell us things but they cannot do the same for a cancelled excursion? Okay. Completely unacceptable. So many people said Celebrity was an upscale experience. I would beg to differ. I have met far more courteous, professional and caring crew members on competitor ships. We’ve been informed that a 30% discount/ credit will be offered to us for all the trouble with the power outages and water issues. I’m not interested in a discount on a future cruise. I would like to request that this discount be refunded back to my payment method AND I’m requesting 2 days worth of credit for 2 devices (for the WiFi) that was not operational. We spent almost $250 fo 5 days of wifi and only had it for 3 days. This was a horrible experience that made me feel like I needed a vacation from my “vacation!"…

First cruise since 2018 and the Celebrity Summit was a great way to test the waters again. We enjoyed our room - it was well located, quiet, comfortable, and we loved the big window. My only criticism on the room is that they don't provide body lotion although many pictures showed it. We liked the food, found the entertainment to be better than other cruise lines, and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and appointments were also quite nice. We enjoyed the amenities like the fitness center but we did wish the hot tubs were a bit warmer. The fellow guests were also more pleasant than we have encountered on other cruise lines. We noticed it was mostly middle aged adults, which some younger and older folks here and there. Very few kids and the ones that were there were very well behaved. We elected not to get the drink package and came out ahead, but beware the steep tips they add to each drink and the pressure to buy a drink package. Regarding the ports here. It was fun to return to Key West and walk around a bit. It's a good stop for a day. Nassau was fine but we didn't totally love it and that's ok. We enjoyed our little bit of time wandering around. They make it easy to get a passport stamp too. Overall, we give this cruise a great rating and will be sure to give it a recommendation and a post or two worth of content on my blog!…
