Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab Adult 2 tab tds. Childn 11-15 yr 1-2 tab tds, 8-11 yr 1 tab tds. Syr Adult 20 mL tds.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Syr: Childn <3 mth.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ history of drug allergy; thyroid disease, DM; high fever; cardiac disease, HTN. Debilitated patients. Patients w/ ongoing treatment. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Patients w/ hepatic or renal disease. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Tab: Patients or family members w/ constitutional predisposition to urticaria, contact dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, migraine, food allergy. Syr: Childn <6 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Eruption, rash, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, dizziness.
Drug Interactions
Should not be concomitantly administered w/ other antitussives & expectorants, cold remedy, antihistamines, sedatives.
