This is my first escape room experience and my friends and I had a Groupon. We participated in The Heist. The room was pretty basic but man once the clock started ticking it was on! We had fun figuring things out but the room was very challenging and we needed all hints. Sadly, we did not solve it, as just one thing was holding us up that I wish we had received a hint for bc it was honestly none of us would have ever considered. Despite the loss we had a lot of fun and cant’t wait to do it again at any location!

Our family (wife and 2 kids 14 and 11) decided to try the Candy room at the Escape Room in Ashburn Va. We went at a time that it wasn't crowded which was nice. We've never been to this particular Escape Room but overall we thought it was pretty good for the Quest we choose which was the Candy room. The clues were challenging and used two of our three clues we were able to complete the challenge. My son (14) thought it might have been a little to easy since we completed the challenge with 20 minutes left on the clock. I thought it was just right. Having gone to several other Escape Rooms and lost because the challenge was too hard this was just right was a couple of young kids. We decided to go back and try the Escape from Jail quest.

This was our first time at Ashburn Escape room. They were quick to get us started. The room was well appointed but no real frills. The room was challenging but doable. The two of us finished with about 6 minutes left with a few hints. The story was good and the game master was attentive and helpful. All in all I would recommend it and I will be back.

This was our first ever real live escape room game. My oldest daughter (12) played online before and we had the opportunity to play today and we took advantage of it.

We did the bank heist and got stumped! You get 3 hints and after that it's all on you. We had a 12 year old a 9 year old and a 4 year old and I was allowing the kids to try and figure it out and I helped here and there but there was one part half way through that even I couldn't crack.

I think it's a great mind game and recommend it. As far as aesthetics, yea it could probably be improved 100% but otherwise the exercise of going through the problems were great.

First, I don't understand the low reviews - this place was great. We went with another couple on a Saturday night, and did the Bank Heist. I honestly thought we'd knock it out in no time, but it took us almost the full hour (and we had to get a couple of hints). The setup is simple, which is all that's needed. Our host, Davis, was extremely friendly and helpful without being condescending. We had a great time, and would absolutely do it again. It's a GREAT date night!

I didn’t realize all escape rooms were not created equal. I had been to a escape room before decorated to a T with theming and puzzles galore this place was not like that. I did bank heist and saw the candy room. It was like walking into any old office building with cream walls and a tv annoyingly playing the mission impossible song on repeat. We had a hangup on the first clue because the handwriting was poor on the clue so we kept getting a password wrong the d and 2 were to similar. The bank heist room was just figure out computer password open safe get a clue three times. The candy room sadly was just plain white walls with jars of candy. We booked a week in advance and was kept waiting 30 mins past because they were “short staffed” so short we could only then start our room when a employee showed up for work. I’ll never come here again.

After visiting the Breakout Room in Maryland, we thought we'd visit a similar place closer to home. To start off, there was no one at the front desk in the over crowed lobby. When the young man working there came out he seemed over whelmed. We were told to be there 15 minutes before our time slot. Well we waited 30 minutes past our time slot, seemed to be only 2 employees there, very unorganized. We visited the speech room, with the most confusing and not well done clues, some of there equipment didn't work and the guy at the camera desk seemed to be away from his desk every time we asked for a clue. Seems that the owner of this place is trying and has succeeded in cutting corners. Should have known this place was no good if they were offering a groupon coupon. Thanks but no thanks, I'll drive the extra miles to go to a more professional business.

We visited the Speech room and were a bit disappointed. The room was bland and one of the drawer locks had not been re-locked after the previous visit. We had to tweet something and try as we might, it would not work. One of the combo locks was reversed (L-R-L) which made it virtually impossible to open. And don't get me started on the ridiculous light sequence you are supposed to solve. Even after we were shown how to do it, it still didn't make sense. And the music aspect of the room had no purpose other than to make it hard to concentrate. All it did in our case was irritate us and give us a headache because it was way too loud.

On the positive side, the computer screen inside the room that shows the elapsed time was very nice and it was also used to deliver clues and hints (with an audible ding, so you knew when to look).

I've been to 2 other Escape Rooms and they were both much more visually stimulating than this one with clues that made more sense. And no, we didn't escape.
