- Erico2709Singapore, Singapore2,426 contributionsThis is known as the oldest private library in China. I like the video where they explained how Emperor Qian Long was so impressed at the library design that he used the structural design to build other libraries as well. Exhibits have english wordings which is helpful for non-english speaking tourists.Written March 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah S1 contributionVery interesting park! Scenic surroundings, great photo op of the figurines, Buddha statue and the tower in the background. Very serene as well.
Be cautious with timing and transportation- I did not leave until sundown and hitchhiked to get back to Ningbo Beilun area, which could have been very dangerous. I took an Uber there and did not have an option for public transit on the way back.Written July 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s an east bus ride (hint: you can ride the 2 subway till the next to last stop and pick up the 638 bus there). A great experience. You need a park ticket, a bridge ticket, and a bus ticket, all available there with phone pay, about $12. Be prepared to climb a lot of steps, but worth it.Written October 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JhonTheBoyHangzhou, China8 contributionsBaoguo Temple is not far from Ningbo, with the magnificent architecture it is a famous temple. There is a viewing platform on the left, you can see the nearby mountains and the view is excellent. Definitely worth a visit!!Written March 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SabaTehran, Iran23 contributionsAmazing, crowded, full of brands, there is a big Apple Store i like that, Zara , h & m are there also starboxWritten November 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dan RSurrey, Canada16 contributionsOne immediately notices the architectual difference between the Ningbo Museum and most other museums in China. The regular style has been replaced by a sea-motif. This is very suitable given the crucial relationship & role water (both domestic - the Grand Canal and sea) has played in the history of the city and area. There are a few good books in English at the gift shop. I especially recommned the one chronicling the porcelian trade. There are also interesting rotating exhibits. It is a little unreported fact that the original Bund area was in Ningbo some two decades before the term was used in its economic and cultural rival Shanghai.Written January 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dave TNingbo, China213 contributionsThe University of Nottingham's campus in Ningbo is certainly worth a visit ... although I'm not sure how easily the general public can get in: You may need a staff member or student to "sign you in."
Lots to see. Some very good choices for food too. If you can visit, I do recommend it!Written August 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The most important thing about the Ashoka Temple is the collection of Buddha Suli, and I have the opportunity to see it. No tickets are required, there are gifts in the temple that can be used, and there is no need to buy incense outside.Written March 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Erico2709Singapore, Singapore2,426 contributionsThey have converted the lanes behind this tower to lots of small shops and eateries. Good to go there with a empty stomach to try the different stalls there.Written March 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark RAmherst, NH8 contributionsIt's a tourist trap, albeit a fun walk. Lots of shops and local food. I don't expect you'll find any locals there.Written November 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Doras MuhanHong Kong, China6 contributionsA nice place for families, accommodating over 200 species. I remembered there is a large VR museum telling the history of different animals. I went there in August, hot, but can met many families on the way, my friend went there recently and show me a photo of the flamingo. Unluckily I went there only to see the sleepy giant pandas. But the brown bear is very lively.Written March 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Vgf7 contributionsJust head there and get lost within its trails.
