It works nice. However, it doesn’t sync with Apple car play, so I still have to use my phone charger cord so my apple car shows up on my driving monitor. Was hoping to replace that cord so I didn’t have to plug my phone in

Upgraded my noisy old ESR Cryoboost car charger to this new Qi2 version. I loved the old charger, the fit and stability in the car was perfect and incredible stable. However because it had a fan in it, it could be quite noisy at times. This new Qi2 car charger solves all that, but keeps the best parts of the old one.I clip this onto my aircon vent and with the lower piece of the attachment clip thingy, this is rock solid and does not move around as some other mounts tend to. I’m using a 15 Pro Max and that weight is no problem for this mount. The magnets, like the old one, are best in class. There is no chance of my phone falling off this.Charging is much faster now with the new Qi2 support, so big tick there! My only complaint.. there is no indication on the box or the charger itself that it is the Qi2 version. I can see a lot of people thinking as I did, did ESR send me the old one? Thankfully I was able to confirm that the model number (printed in tiny font on the back 2C522E) is listed in the WPC database as being Qi2 certified. So ESR, do us all a favour and put Qi2 on the box at least…

This product is worth every penny. It has proper fast charge capability and strong holding magnet. However the mount is on the weak side, as the orientation moves after awhile causing the phone to droop downwards.

Kudos to ESR for producing the Qi2 charger with universal ball mount!Swapped it in on my screen frame ball mount in 2023 Tesla Model Y, pluged in cable I have connected to car’s rear usb-c port and got my iPhone15 charging. Output measured strong 19.5W draw with iPhone at about 55% battery.Didn’t do full charge testing but it seems almost as fast as direct wire.Didn’t notice any heat on the phone after charing, but it’s winter, so will see if heat becomes an issue in hotter months.

Had an issue with the first unit, but the customer service was amazing!I love this product. It works great with my Samsung phone and my iPhone. I have it clipped to the air vent and it’s pretty stable.

This item works as advertised. I’m using it with an iPhone8 (in 2024…I know. I like to use stuff as long as I can), and with a magnetic case (purchased from another manufacturer) this charger holds it securely and the charging works. Those are the PROS, and I think they are enough to recommend this product. The CONS: – It just barely keeps up with the phone’s power usage when listening to music via Bluetooth and using maps for navigation. I know the 12v lighter adapter I use can do better since I’ve used it plugged directly into this phone and it will complete the charge even while using the Bluetooth and navigation. But it may be that the iPhone8 isn’t capable of charging faster through wireless charging. I don’t know, so take this CON with a grain of salt. – I used the adhesive mounting option, mounted to a very slightly curved surface and it was very difficult to get the mounting pad to conform to the slight curvature long enough to stick. So there is an open gap along the middle of one side. It seems like it will still stay put though. I had a non charging magnetic mount before in the same spot and it mounted quite a bit better. One last issue which is my “fault” for the way I mounted it but I feel I should mention for other users: The angle adjustment is done in two ways; there is a ball-and-socket joint which tightens with a threaded ring. It works just fine. The other adjustment is at the other end of the “arm” and it rotates fairly freely with a “clicking”/detent system holding it in place. The product photo shows it mounted horizontally (like on the top of your dashboard) and that arm would just be used to allow pointing the phone to the left or right. I think the detent system probably works fine in that intended orientation (horizontal). My use though has it mounted vertically (stuck to the side of the center console (instead of on the top of dashboard). In that case the arm/detent system has to support the weight of the phone, and it cannot. So after a few minutes driving the phone flops down to face more towards the floor. I am going to choose an angle for that and just super-glue it in place. The ball joint will still allow adjustments. That isn’t a fault of the manufacturer or designer, but I hadn’t anticipated the issue so wanted to mention it for other users who want to mount it vertically.

Quality Product. Sturdy, doesn’t move around once it’s attached to the vent, fast charge!

I really liked the idea of being able to mount the charger on the dash or in a vent. I chose the vent option because I felt if was less intrusive. I have found the magnets to support my Max iphone to be very strong. I am very happy with my purchase.

The clip is nice and firm, no danger of sliding out of the vent. The main charger is also easily tightened to stay in place holding the phone. And MagSafe is MagSafe, that holds the phone tight too, while charging. I just need to figure out a tidier cable route for myself.
