Having been here about a year ago on a work trip I decided to bring my partner here for a treat whilst we were on holiday. I was so excited do return to this fun venue and experience the ambiance and have some tasty food....Whilst the service was very good and the ambiance of the courtyard with fairy lights was very nice, the food sadly wasn't the best I've had in Thailand. My partner had the chicken and pineapple which was nice and I had a veggie Thai curry with red rice and some sweetcorn patties. The curry was really really spicy and it became unenjoyable after a while! For the level of service the restaurant wants to provide they should maybe ask how spicy you would like the food as is common in many Thai restaurants. I had some mango sticky rice to finish which was pleasent. We had a nice evening but I think the food is far too over priced for the quality and they have a cheek to add on a service charge of 10% even for a table of 2 which I've not seen any other restaurant do in Thailand. Our total bill for 2 drinks, 1 starter, 2 mains with rice and a dessert was 1100 THB which in comparisons to other places we have visited is pretty pricey. I guess you are paying for the ambiance.More

We visited this restaurant, just off Sukhumvit Road, soi 12, easy to find as I had visited some 20 plus years ago and had fond memories of the fairy lit garden next to the family planning clinic (hence the name). What a change, the growth...of the restaurant is phenomenal since my last visit, with a large amount of tables inside and out. Whilst the food was tasty and enjoyable I believe the food is aimed primarily at the tourist market, backed up by the cast majority if clientele. Service is brisk and impersonal but from a philanthropic perspective offer support to a worthy cause. Part of the restaurant's popularity I am sure is in part due to the name, ironically whilst plenty of condoms in various form were in view from lampshades to figures, there were no cabbages in sight! Good for a quick meal, tasty food and people watching. Pricing reasonable, Bill presented with a couple of condoms.More

We used to live on this Soi in the early 90s so this was a visit for old times sake. its a lot smarter than it used to be and still a nice place to eat. But ... the food is expensive for what it...is and the taste is not exceptional as one might hope. It's good enough and definitely nothing to complain about. Frankly, I'd skip it and have a much more authentic and delicious dinner nearby at Pantaree on Soi 8 for a fraction of the price.More

I’d read a lot of recommendations for this place over the years so it was on my list for this year’s trip to Bangkok. Wish I’d looked at the photos in the cold light of day and reassessed why I would actually choose a restaurant...on the basis that it had a quirky name and condom based decor. I think I’ve been reading too many out of date Rough Guides and Lonely Planets...It all looks a bit sad and unloved. Probably cutting edge in the early nineties. The outside gardens were basic and hot, inside more like a canteen but cool. It was less than half empty but the staff rushed us throughout, even comically taking our starter plates away before we had finished eating. There was some traditional dancing going on. Toilets were immaculate. Food was nice enough but nothing exciting and the whole experience was underwhelming. 900 baht for a large (small) carafe of wine and the meal came to about £60 (including 10 percent compulsory service charge). Not really impressed, don’t bother unless condoms are your thing.More

If you are vegetarian and looking for a good meal in Bangkok this is a must! We found this gem on the last evening before flying home and it was without doubt the best vegetarian place we found. The choice was excellent and the quality...of the food was also good. We shared three main courses and a side of rice and along with a couple of beers each total bill was just over £30! The setting outdoors in the garden area and by the fish pond is very scenic. Definitely worth a visit!!More

We really enjoyed our food here, the service was great, and it felt good to support a worthy cause. We sat outside and the fans made it really comfortable. Gift shop was cute on the way out. Food was a little more expensive than your...average restaurant on the street, but it certainly wasn't going to break the bank.More

We had this place recommended by other people during our two weeks travelling before our last night in n Bangkok. Exceptional service, food was phenomenal, lovely philanthropic philosophy. The restaurant looks fantastic with beautiful lighting (large condom light fittings!) The air conditioning was hydrating instead...of drying!!! Food was beautifully presented and prepared- just be warned- portion sizes are extremely generous!!!!Perfect last night of our holiday.More

Slightly off the beaten track but once you find it, its a little quirky gem of one of the side streets in Bangkok. Tip - if you need a taxi to get here, our driver had no idea where this was despite showing him the...address, so for reference its near Terminal 21 shopping mall) Great and quirky decor inside, very creative with their use of condoms as part of a couple of items and nightshades. The menu is very extensive and offers more than the traditional Thai food staples. Prices were at standard for any Bangkok city restaurant, especially given this place does attract a lot of tourists. Food quality was plentiful and delicious. We went on a quiet night where there was only about 2 or 3 tables being sat at, which led to an excellent service. Final touch was funny, being able to pick a condom to take away with you!More

We visited on 2 occasions during our stay in Bangkok as the restaurant was close to our hotel. The decor and concept are very interesting. We found that the service on both occasions was terrible. We never received some of the items we ordered and...we’re still charged a service fee. We had to leave our table in search of waiters to settle our bill and/or order more items. We wanted to like this place, but we’re disappointed.More

I’ve been here a few times and have always been impressed with the food. The Tom Yum is terrific as is the Panang Curry. You will pay tourist prices, however, a portion of the proceeds is given to prevent the spread of HIV and unchecked...population growth. Take some time on your way out of the restaurant to check out their information boards. The atmosphere is fun, and the decor is funny - the few mannequins wearing full outfits made of condoms is creative. All in all, I recommend checking out Cabbages and Condoms next time you are in Bangkok!More

We were recommended to go here for dinner (wifes birthday). It was so funny and amazing. The decor was decorated with condoms - dresses on manequins, light fittings, pictures on the wall etc. Its amazing how they can make condoms so versatile in decorating. Prices...were reasonable, and we had a free traditional thai dance when we attended. The food was pretty decent for the price and was definitely worth the experience.More

We have been coming to Bangkok and C&C for the last ten years, until now always very happy. First week of february we visited two nights in a row, for dinner. Service and atmosphere is great just like expected but food was not good at...all. Fried rice with no flavour and chicken cashew had a chinese touch. Bread croutons on a traditional thai dish?More

We went here twice for dinner. The portions are generous and it is good value for money. One night we only had the seafood soup and rice and it was like a very nice red Thai curry and more than enough. Proceeds go to community...development which is a pleasing notion for a restaurant in a city as big as Bangkok.More

A 10-minute walk from Asoke Station, a unique Thai restaurant. There are English and Japanese descriptions on the menu as well as photos, so you will not be confused by the order.I was able to eat traditional and delicious Thai food. Way overpriced for this quirky restaurant. We ordered the chicken (excellent), the rice dish and veggies were bland. Service was attentive and answered questions. Only restaurant we ate at that added a 10% service charge for two people plus a VAT and we had paid...in cash. So if you want an unique restaurant experience eat there, if you want good food then find something else.More
