Two Hollywood legends are unmasked during 'Masked Singer' Season 8 premiere

Masked Singer is back and this season they're unmasking not one, but two mystery celebrities every week.

During Wednesday night's Season 8 premiere, viewers were introduced to the Harp, the Hedgehog, the Hummingbird, and the Knight, and it was the latter who had to say good knight in the competition first.

The Knight was legendary actor, author, Emmy and Golden Globe winner William Shatner, whom many know as Star Trek's Captain James T. Kirk. Following his unmasking, Shatner hilariously shared, "It was horrible. I can't tell you how horrible it was. I couldn't see anything. I can't walk. The noise was deafening. The mask was obliterating." And while viewers were surprised by how amazing the 91-year-old looks, another celeb who was also looking pretty sharp Wednesday was the Hedgehog, who was the second to be unmasked.

The Hedgehog was revealed to be Eric Idle, former member of the legendary comedy group Monty Python. Celebrity panelist Robin Thicke was geeking out over Idle's appearance as he shared how he grew up watching Monty Python movies. Meanwhile, Idle shared Paul McCartney's reaction to him seeing "Love Me Do" on the show.

Idle shared, "I wanted to sing this song because it's Paul Mccartney's first song he ever wrote, and so I wrote to him and asked him if I could do it. I had a letter back saying, 'Yes, you can do the song, but would you please tell me what show it is so I can make sure to avoid it?'"
