Welcome to Fraser Creek Cabin. It is situated on 10 acres surrounded by West Coast rain forest in a quiet rural area. Stroll through the woods to enjoy a refreshing swim in Prospect Lake - there is no lake view from the cabin. Close to Commonwealth Place, Butchart Gardens, wineries, parks/lakes where you can picnic and swim. A 20 minute drive to downtown Victoria. Relax on the back deck while enjoying the birds and the night stars. Fresh eggs from our happy chickens, coffee and tea are provided.

The space
This cozy log cabin was built in 1944 by John Earl Fraser, a decorated WWI veteran. His grandson and his great grand daughter live on the property. The log cabin offers all the amenities you need including a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table, a piano, a high definition 55” smart TV, WIFI, a CD player, and a beautiful bathroom which includes a rainfall and a hand held shower (no tub).

The main room (600 sq. ft.) has wide plank old growth fir floors, cable TV with an external HDMI cord, water cooler, fully equipped open kitchen : stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and cooking utensils where you can cook meals with ease. As well as, a couch and matching chair, an ottoman to rest your feet. But most importantly, an atmosphere where you can be safe and relax.

A barn door separates the master bedroom from the open living area for privacy. There is a comfy king size bed, certified asthma and allergy friendly pillows, high quality duvet and linen to ensure a good night sleep. Brass lamps that sit on suspended old growth West Coast fir provide light for reading. A spacious armoire is provided for your personnel belongings.

Relax and watch as birds come to the feeders and hear the hummingbirds zip. There have been over 92 different species of birds identified on this property! It is easy to observe and identify birds - you are only 2 feet from feeders. There are books available to help you identify the birds.

At night, enjoy the stars on the back deck (there is an observatory close by for a reason) while being serenaded by the barred owls.

Mocha, a friendly female Rottweiler, Mr. Soot, the cat, and chickens live on the property.

**Please note : The log cabin and the main house are in close proximity, however, I assure you, when you are in the cabin or on the back deck, you have complete privacy.**

Lots of room for parking. Please park close to the cabin.

You can walk through the woods to the Prospect Lake boat launch. My family have been swimming there for years. There are other accesses to the lake that are a very short distance from the log cabin. I will be happy to tell you about them.

Other things to note
Enjoy the various nearby wineries - Symphony Vineyards, Dragonfly Hill, Church and State Wines and Junction Ciders. Junction Ciders is close enough for a 20 minute walk. Check out their website - the cider is good! Discouver Devine Distillery - award winning!

The world famous Butchart Gardens is only a 7 minute drive. You can bring a picnic or eat in the dining room or cafeteria.

Thetis, Beaver, Elk, Killarney, and Durrance Lakes are all close by...and, of course Prospect Lake. However, there are more lakes and the Ocean!

Vibrate Victoria is only 15-20 minutes away - enjoy highly acclaimed restaurants.

There are many near by hiking trails from hard climbs to a nice leisurely strolls all within a 30 minute drive. There is a hiking book in the cabin that provides details, history and driving directions. World class scenic paddle boarding and kayaking are all on the Saanich Peninsula.
