What travelers are saying
- mfilcol2014Lisbon, Portugal1,053 contributionsVictoria Peak is a mountain from which you can enjoy fantastic views over Hong Kong. To get there there are several options: take the Peak Tram, a funicular that connects central Hk to Vicoria Peak; There are several trails to reach on foot or you can take a bus or taxi.
Once you get there, the views of the city are fabulous.
There are several shopping centers with shops and restaurants (for tourist consumption and without quality). You can go up to a terrace (sky terrace 360). Paid and without much difference in views
A visit to Victoria Peak is essential when visiting Hong Kong
A must
An advice, don't eat or drink at Pacific Coffee. Overpriced, poor quality, rude employees, uncleanWritten April 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The short trip between central Hong Kong and Kowloon takes us back to the past. It's worth it. The view of Victoria Harbor is fabulous.
Don't miss itWritten April 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Located on Lantau Island, easily accessible from the center. By metro to Tung Chung station. Then there is the cable car to the tourist village of Ngong Ping. When we went, it was closed for maintenance so we went by bus (pleasant trip) Big Budha and Po Lin Monastery are close to the village.
It is interesting to climb the 276 steps to the base of the Buddha. The climb is not very difficult. Once at the top, the view is interesting but not fabulous. The mysticism of the place is undeniableWritten April 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Be there before they open the rides and we were there around 10:10am.
They have great performances/ show that you won't like to miss. I do recomend you to download the disney app, waiting time from each rides will be shown in the app. The newly opened "Frozen" rides and show is a must try! take note that everything has timings not all rides operates till evening.
Foods inside is a bit expensive, but in our situation that day, we don't have time to eat because we're trying to ride everything and watch all performances/ show that they have but unfortunately in the end of the day, i guess we only missed 2 rides.
Fireworks in the evening is worth waiting for! It will start at 8:30PM so you have to look for a good spot!Written April 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mfilcol2014Lisbon, Portugal1,053 contributionsThe traditional 2-deck tram in Hong Kong. A must-see in HK. Traditional and useful for traveling. One piece of advice is that the tourist tram is not worth it. The normal one is much more interesting despite being slow. Preferably you should occupy a seat on the upper floor and see the city passing byWritten April 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Arleen ODublin, Ireland38 contributionsThese Gardens are free to enter and connect to the Chi Lin Nunnery. We got the MTR to Diamond Hill and walked from there. Outside the area surrounding the gardens is full of noise and traffic but once you enter it is so peaceful you would think you are in the middle of the countryside. The planting and buildings are beautiful.Written April 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- latifahBrisbane, Australia5 contributionsThe bustling atmosphere and vibrant energy of the city came alive at this iconic waterfront location. The skyline views were simply breathtaking, especially at night when the city lit up with a warm glow. I found myself enchanted by the bustling boats and ferries that crisscrossed the harbor, adding to the romantic charm of the scene. Victoria Harbour is truly a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the heart and soul of Hong Kong.Written March 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RoverPInverness, UK740 contributionsA lengthy cable car ride with sensational views. Unfortunately for us, we climbed into cloud halfway up, but we still had some fantastic views on the lower part of the run. - SeasonedtravellerDubai, United Arab Emirates58 contributionsWe visited here with our young daughter.
Overall it was a very good experience and worth visiting. Yes, it’s tired and has not changed in the last decade but it still delivered.
Mix of animals and roses gave a great balance and variety. Queues were very long so we invested in a Fast Pass which was well worth the money.
More entertainment and shade is needed for the long queues.
F&B expensive and limited on variety. Nearly nothing for vegetarians.
Worth the visit and definitely a big improvement on Disneyland.Written March 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The architecture is beautiful with dark woods. There are many halls with deities and yet it does not look cluttered. - mfilcol2014Lisbon, Portugal1,053 contributionsNo visit to Hong Kong is complete without visiting Lantau. Easy access from HK by metro. It has several attractions such as Big Budha, Po Lin Monastery, the fishing village of Tai O, not to mention Honk Kong Disneyland.
