Hi,

Can’t decide between these two hotel locations. We are a couple and would like the convenience near station for day trips out of Fukuoka and casual dinning. Other than close proximity to transport, hotel cleanliness and quietness are also our priorities. Appreciate any advice please. Thank you.

Grand Hyatt is in higher end than Solaria is, however both are in higher class generally. Both are convenient enough for transportation and shopping. Grand Hyatt is one subway train ride to Hakata station and walk is also possible. That’s the only difference I see.

I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt many times and I love the location. We always walk to/from Hakata Station. It's only a 12-minute walk. Really convenient for day trips. Canal City has great water shows every evening and you can see them from the bar/ lounge. It's awesome.

Solaria Nishitetsu is a good hotel chain and I've stayed ones in Kagoshima, Kyoto, and Tokyo. I haven't stayed one in Fukuoka but I'm sure it's a fine hotel. It's in a fun and happening Tenjin but it's not as convenient as staying near Hakata Station.
