Not fussed on heights so we didn't go up, just looked up and its an impressive building so worth the effort to get there. The food court was unbelievably busy and after a couple of minutes searching for a table we gave up. There did not look to be a queue for the tower however.

Absolutely delighted by our experience. First visit was unable to go ahead due to low visibility, which the ticket counter advised us about. Second visit at 7.30pm went ahead and was beyond expectations! Views were astronomical- the observatory was filled with amazing displays which were perfect phot opportunities and took us over an hour to tour the whole floor, even though we only had 30 minutes allocated on our ticket. Best time to go up - well worth the money and no need to pay for all the other “perks” on offer 🥰

Absolutely fantastic views, so child friendly with lots to entertain children with, sent postcard from 89th floor to friends which will be much appreciated as from Taipei 101 and went up to 91st floor on open roof and stunning views again. Nice shops and mass damper obviously engineering marvel! A must see.

Taipei 101 客製飄帶 is a must visit when you're in Taiwan. It is an iconic skycraper which gives you a picture perfect view of Taipei skyline. It has a high-speed elevator going to the observation deck. But if you want to go to the observation deck, there is a fee. Besides the observation deck, Taipei 101 is also a mall with various shops and restaurants. I wasn't really planning to buy anything but when we passed by Zara I saw a cute bonnet and since raindrops is starting to fall, I decided to get a bonnet instead of an umbrella. At least, it's still fashionable.

Taipei on your own from Azamara cruise. On April 25, 2023 Azamara docked in Keelung, Taiwan. We purchased this tour back home for $69/person. On board this tour was sold for$79/person. All tours on board usually charged more than pre-purchased tours. Trip from Keelung to Taipei takes about 40 min on tour bus. Confusion started immediately as soon as our guide started explanation how to reach hop on hop off bus with tickets provided by the Taipei City Government for free for the visitors upon showing up and recording their passport information. Fortunately, we had on bus engineer from the cruise who was very helpful clarifying guide’s information into plain English. To reach the first bus stop we had an option to take a taxi or to ride subway. Just a few people took the trouble to get to the hop on/off bus and told us that this was not worth the effort. After taking excursions from more the two dozen cruises, I definitely may say that this offering from Azamara was the least beneficial as time and money spent. Taipei 101 was worth visiting, but not with this cruise offring. For about $6 one could purchase round trip to Taipei on bus or train. The train and bus stations are within easy 10 to 15 min walk from the cruise terminal in Keelung port. Happy Travels.

We went on a Tuesday afternoon and were surprised to know that the place is quite empty and without any queue at the corner.. The views from the top were magnificent and beautiful.. There was some confusion on how to get to level 101 as the lift is in between the gift shop.. Will appreciate it if they can put up more signs to show us the way. Overall, awesome experience!

Definitely need to visit here! Go early in the morning before the line gets long - BUT early is 11 am - does not open earlier!! (we did not know this...) Can be hard to take pictures since people are not so polite but we managed!!

We visited Taipei 101 a couple of times on our trip to Taipei in 2023. It was crowded as usual but a good place to spend some time window shopping of high end stores and enjoy good food at the food court. So many choices and a comfortable place with A/C especially when it's hot outside.

Built in 2004, it was the world’s tallest building for many years. The building itself is breathtaking to see from anywhere in Taipei. The first few floors are full of restaurants and shops. There was long line to go up, but the lines moved fast. The elevator rises 84 floors in 37 seconds. You can then walk around the observation floor and be amazed by spectacular views of Taipei in every direction. Definitely one of the top sights in Taipei.

A MUST in Taipei. It is worth to buy the ticket online in advance and book the fast lane, because the crowd is usually very large. Once at the top, you have seen the view from all windows in just under 30 minutes. What is fun, however, are the numerous picture points, which are decorated from romantic to kitschy and are very popular with visitors. A tour of the technology that ensures the stability of the tower is worthwhile and worth seeing. This is also located at the top of the platform.
