- JM CastilloSharjah, United Arab Emirates64 contributionsI had a good time walking around Summer Palace. Even though it is crowded by tourists the Palace is huge and beautiful with a lot of blooming trees and flowers. Thanks to Jily from Mubus for touring me around and ride the boat with me. She was very hard working and a wonderful person. This is my 2nd tour with Jily and both trips are wonderful.Written April 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - coconutuglyMarbella, Spain1,983 contributionsEverything requires booking, and you can’t seem to book a day in advance: more like 2 to 3 days in advance. ALL QC CODES GET SENT TO YOUR PHONE. Closed on Mondays. We couldn’t get in because of this, and so we landed up at Jinshang Park where all the locals go to for the view of the F City from the highest point in Beijing. Get ready to be pushed and prodded by a 1000 locals: sunday was plain awful., bit the view was good. - ClaireLouiseDerbyshire, UK322 contributionsQuite a large place. The temple buildings were lovely.
Cost 25CNY entrance.
After visiting a lot of temples on our 13 stops throughout China, whilst I did enjoy having a wander through, I did think other temples I had visited were better.Written November 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The daily flag hoisting/down even is a crowd pleaser so be prepared with published times to witness it.Written April 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leong Chee ShengSingapore, Singapore334 contributionsThis is a huge space dedicated to art scene in Beijing. It's very nice to explore and soak in the vibes.
Some down points for us (nothing too serious):
- shops there have different opening hours, some open after 2pm, some closed at 4pm etc so our visit at 12pm was awfully awkward as some places are not open
- there's not a lot of food options inside so make sure you have some food before coming over
- the area is quite far off the metro; I believe the nearest one is under construction, so it was quite a walk into the premise for us, and the cab out was stuck in heavy traffic for a whileWritten April 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was impressive though restored. The dam was still iced over adding to the picturesque charm. Apparently the wild sections are no longer accessible due to the death of an American diplomat and his family 3 years ago (this is what local told us).Written March 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maree RChristchurch, New Zealand1,185 contributionsWe had a fantastic day here. Clear blue skies enabled superb views of the wall as it stretches out into the mountains. We were both carrying injuries so didn't climb high but the views were still spectacular. The wall starts with a moderate climb which quickly becomes steep. There are shops inside the entrance offering drinks and souviners. It's a must do.Written March 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
