現時香港人都希望到 加拿大 升學 ，繼而取得畢業後工作簽證留在 加拿大 發展。大家在選擇課程時有沒有糾結究竟應該選擇 學院 (College) 還是 大學 (University) 呢？到底兩者有什麼分別？ 學院 的認受性會比 大學 低嗎？今日就等小編為大家拆解兩拍的大不同，讓大家選擇最適合自己的課程！
加拿大 學院 (College) vs 大學 (University)
1. 英語能力要求
前往加拿大升學 首要的便需要持有英語能力考試成績，以最為港人熟悉的IELTS (Academic)為例，學院課程普遍要求學生持5.5-6.0分，部分課程例如學士後證書/文憑則要6.5或以上。而大學學士的要求則是平均6.5以上，研究生課程的要求則更高。
2. 學費
相對於大學昂貴的學費，一般學院學費合理，每年學費約15,000加幣（約96,000港幣），相比 大學 國際留學生每年學費超過30,000加幣（約192,000港幣）相比，相宜超過一半。
3. 課程長度
由於學院提供多種學歷資格的課程，當中包括證書、文憑、大學涵接課程、高級文憑、學士後證書等，因此課程的長度主要為1-3年。而大學則是大家較為熟悉的制度，基本學士課程為4年，當中亦有與 學院 合辦的3年涵接課程。
4. 畢業後工作簽證
如果於加拿大政府認可的學院或 大學修讀為期1年的課程，學生將獲1年的工作簽證；如果課程長度為2年以上即可獲得3年工作簽證。加拿大 政府對於可獲發畢業後工作簽證課程的詳細要求可參閱IRCC官網。
5. 科目類型
學院的課程主要幫助學生裝備自己，在未來投身職場。因此其科目都是以職業導向為主，例如烘焙、電工等。而學士後證書課程則讓有學士學位的學生應用大學所學的知識，並教授更多實用的技巧。大部分課程更配有實習，讓學生學以致用。而大學的課程則著重知識和理論，所以作業都以論文為主。
6. 班級人數
一般學院課程每學班只有50人以下，因此同學之間的關係亦比較熟絡。教授亦能花更多時間解答同學的問題和給予更多支持。而大學則是大班教學，一級有數十至二百人不等。
