Welcome to the Kozy Kave!
Stay fairly close to everything in Kawartha lakes but far enough to enjoy a relaxing trip tucked away in a private bay on Burnt River. With a 30ft private entry to the river and a dock for boarding , water access will not be a concern. With a fully stocked kitchen, large rooms, 1 kayak, 1 canoe, paddleboat and fun activities; enjoy our Kozy Kave with your friends & family.

The space
Comfy and Cozy – but not lacking in space! Whether it be relaxing in our large rooms, or playing foosball in our common area, you will always have room to kick back and stretch. With direct access to the backyard from the beautiful attached back deck; you can BBQ as you watch the river flow. Enjoy the river view from your window, or around the campfire pit right outside.

Neighbors: The Kozy Kave cottage provides a large area for gatherings and outdoor activities, but keep in mind that it is not a secluded area. We have great neighbors on both sides, that we would like to respect. Please be mindful of others and avoid loud outside noise past 11 pm during campfires.

Guest access
The entrance is left of the parking area - the door has a lock code which will be provided 48 hours in advance of check-in. You will have the entire cottage plus the yard to yourselves.

Please remember to bring your own firewood and bug spray.

Other things to note
Water- The cottage gets its water from the river which is filtered. Bringing your own drinking water is preferred for Our family. The tap water is 100% fine for showering, cooking, cleaning, etc. Drive down our scenic roads or boat up the river from a nearby launch to get to our getaway spot

River- the current can be fast children and pets must be supervised AT ALL TIMES while swimming/lakeside activities. The river is not safe for ice activities in the winter as the depth of the ice is not guaranteed

Pets- Pets are welcome

Included amenities - Our space has everything to make you feel at home - WIFI, Netflix, Washer and Dryer, Queen size beds, bunk beds, well-equipped kitchen, and tableware, BBQ.

Boats: We have one canoe, one kayak and one paddle boat for your use. Please make sure they are pulled up out of the water and returned to their original location prior to departing. Please wear life jackets while using them. We provide 6 lifejackets in various sizes.

Things to do:

o Campfires permitted as long as there are no burning bans in effect, please check local fire restrictions. Do not leave campfires unattended and make sure they are fully extinguished before retiring for the evening. You may use fallen branches and twigs for kindling.
o Always wear a life jacket(s) when out on the water. we provide 6 life jackets in various sizes
o Fishing: Please check local fishing and licensing regulations
o Exploring/Walking/Hiking
o Snowmobile/ATV trails

Things to bring :
o Linens: basic comforters and pillowcases and sheets on each bed provided but please bring Extra pillows and sheets as you wish and for COVID-19 safety (the nights can get chilly)
o Towels (beach and bathing)

Kitchen/Bath:
o Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash
o Food/drinks and cooking needs (Oil, Vinegar, Spices, Coffee, milk etc.)
o Extra Toilet Paper / Paper Towels/Garbage bags

Other:
o Firewood
o extra water bottles for drinking water ( Sobey's nearby if needed)
o Laundry detergent and soaps ( Washer and Dryer available on site)
