| | For Non-JUPAS application |
| 4. | Applicants applying on the basis of qualifications other than Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) and the 2024 National Joint College Entrance Examination (JEE) results, should apply for admission directly to the University via the Non-JUPAS route. |
| 5. | Local applicants applying solely on the strength of Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) results should apply for admission to government-funded undergraduate programmes via Admissions Scheme for HKDSE Students (JUPAS) (Non-local applicants applying on the strength of HKDSE results should apply via Non-JUPAS route). |
| 6. | Mainland applicants attending the 2024 National Joint College Entrance Examination (JEE) should apply for admission to undergraduate programmes via Admissions Scheme for Mainland Students (内地招生计划). Applicants with previous JEE results should apply via Non-JUPAS route. |

| 7. | Local applicants applying the Non-JUPAS route may make a separate application for the SETDAS participating programmes via the SETDAS, for Year one of admission. Details on SETDAS are available on the Admissions website and this application system. |
| 8. | SETDAS applicants are required to fill in and upload a separate set of application information /supporting documents, and pay an application fee of HK$450. If successful, applicants may be given a firm offer for admission to HKBU, before the release of major examination results. SETDAS applications will be possessed separately from regular Non-JUPAS applications. |
