Nestled in a coveted location, Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach is lauded for its exceptional service, with staff going above and beyond to personalize guest experiences. The rooms, celebrated for their cleanliness and breathtaking views, could benefit from some modern updates. The hotel's atmosphere buzzes with energy from live music and performances, providing a festive backdrop to a stay that many find to be of great value, despite the occasional high cost for extras. Amenities, including diverse dining and beach activities, add to the allure, although there's room for improvement in room furnishings.

My wife and I along with our daughter (18 months) visited Grand and I'm currently sitting in the bar enjoying a cocktail while my lovely ladies take a rest. Where to start? First, this resort is enormous. Built years ago, you can see the age, but it's also its charm. From the moment we walked in we were treated by 6 star service (No 5 isn't enough) If you're annoyed by the words my pleasure, go to another country. Mexican culture makes US culture look laughable. Those of you pissed by this statement are pissed because you know it's true and to argue would be simple minded.

Things of note: They have a 24k show you need to book for Sundays only. As well, Tuesdays and Thursdays are complimentary Isla Mujeres excursions (leave by 1030, get to concierge by 945) and schedule a couple days in advance. Book your dinner reservations in advavce . Thank me later. Take no bill larger than 10. Thank me later. Order from the Pool. (Isla Contoya side) Carlos, server at the pool, was the best service experience we received at this hotel, and that's not to take the service at other parts lightly. He's a 7 star. Ask him about room 666. He made our vacation great at the pool. Not one location deserves this gentleman, but if it has to be one, let it be Grand Fiesta. I truly hope my older daughter one day gets to come back here and meet this young man. He's an all time keeper and this is coming from a 25 year restaurant manager. He's Aces!!! Also, if you forget your cigar cutter, Isabel outside of the le Basilia is there to take care of you, plus she's an amazing my pleasure service just like all of the employees here.

Look, I'm not going to fully sugar coat. Not everything was perfect. 2 food experiences were not the greatest. But most importantly, what wasn't lacking was the brilliant service. As a former restaurant manager, look, not everything foodwise is perfect, but dammit, the service better always be. Here, they understood the assignment.

This resort is one of the greatest vacation experiences we've had in 16 years with me and my wife. And the fact we brought our 18 month old and it was perfect makes this review fool proof.

Thank you to this wonderful resort and to your incredibly well trained, perfectly courteous and efficient staff. Your safety covid protocols, brilliant staff and my pleasure service will stay with me and my wife and our daughter forever. Until then, enjoying our last few hours with la Joya and the Fiesta tonight. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! We are already talking about coming back. That's when you flat out understood the assignment. Get some!!! You earned it We WILL be back one day.

The property is excellent even though the building shows signs of an older property. For some reason, our room has a very slight hint of smell, maybe of the ocean or maybe it the ventilation vents in the room needs some cleaning but it wasn't overwhelming. The pictures don't lie, cleanliness of the property is immaculate. Personnel around the property are always cleaning all around the surrounding, even the beach in front of the hotel. We didn't get an all inclusive deal but with 1000 dollars of credit to use and free dinner voucher every night to two of the four restaurants on the property, there was no need. We couldn't even use all the free dinner vouchers as the 1000 dollars credit includes spa for two with romantic dinner, bottle of wine x2 to be enjoyed by the pool or in the restaurant, even free high speed boat ride to isla mujeres and much more. Just beware, the tour office within the hotel who sells excursion trips to places like Tulum or chichen itza has no control of the company that actually takes guest to these sites. We bought a package that should have taken us to Tulum, Coba, Cenote and playa de Carmen. In between those sites, the tour guide brought us to a jewelry store called Matis and were trying to sell us items like $US 19,000 ring. Even though the tour rep sells within the hotel lobby, they can't be trusted. This is the same company that also sells tours within expedia, hotwire and other online sites. Buyer's beware.

From a private transfer arranged by the resort to the fine dining, super clean rooms, sparkling pools and amazing beach, it’s hard to choose which aspect of this property made our vacation perfect! You can see the care all the employees place into making sure your stay is seamless. We were a group of 7, 3 adults (my husband and I, our 4 children ages 11, 9, 6, 3.5, and my sister in law).

We saw lifeguards and security making sure we were safe on the beach. We even had to use the services of a lifeguard when my 6 y/o stubbed his big toe hard and took off about a 1/8 in off. They cleaned it, wrapped it, and my son was soon able to enjoy himself again.

The kids club attendants and managers were in the top tier of child care places our family has utilized. All of our kids enjoyed the time they spent there and at one point we had to bargain with them to get them to leave! Such an awesome dilemma! Haha

The beach in front of the hotel is small but perfect. It’s clean, well maintained, well staffed and gorgeous! I’ve been to many Mexican beaches and have spent time ignoring vendors, while dealing with ants and mosquitoes. None of that was here. No vendors, except for the occasional travel agent who walked inconspicuously by, holding his sign and waving but not being intrusive. No bugs at all and this was such a surprise as I’m accustomed to being bitten by mosquitoes. The sun loungers are plenty and in good condition and the wait staff come by frequently but not in a bothersome way. It’s just perfection.

The rooms are super clean. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family suite (2 connecting rooms - 1 King bed, 2 queens) and my SIL stayed in her own room. We appreciated the service we received and were never lacking for anything. Turndown service magically happened when we were at dinner and the little chocolates enjoyed by all of us.

The food was hands down, the best I’ve ever had in an all inclusive resort. We all had our favorites, Isla Contoy (made the top spot for lunch by all of us bc of its location and offerings), La Joya was classy and delicious, Havana was hip, loud and fun, Le Basilic was all it claimed to be (we did the tasting menu with wine pairings) the ballet performance and live piano kicked it up a notch and even Vina Del Mar (the dinner buffet) has good offerings - this was our least favorite place BUT that doesn’t mean we didn’t enjoy it. We had room service every morning for the kids and they all agree that the waffles here are the best they’ve ever had (and they’re experts). Each morning they ordered a smoothie, fruit and waffles or pancakes and polished everything off.

We love to travel and experience new things as a family and we usually aim to explore new places instead of returning to ones we’ve visited before. With that, all of us are looking forward to returning here again really soon!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity of hosting you at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun All-Inclusive Spa Resort and for sharing your wonderful experience with us. It is an honor to know that you've chosen us as your "home away from home." We are delighted to learn that we were able to meet your expectations, and you enjoyed our great location, the pool, the beautiful beach area, the facilities, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Also, the dining experience, La Joya Restaurant - our Mexican jewel eatery! We're always happy to hear that our guests have enjoyed our "Haute Mexican cuisine." As you know, it's not just about tacos and tamales, and we're happy to showcase Mexican cuisine and culture at La Joya. Le Basilic is one of the eight restaurants in all of Mexico awarded with the 5 diamond by AAA. Is listed as one of the 1000 best restaurants in the world by La Liste, Paris. Also, our new concepts Havanna club and Tuscany Trattoria & Terrace! We hope to see you again in the future, allowing us to create another memorable vacation for you!

Where do I begin! This place exceeded my expectations! My husband and I came to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and booked an oceanfront room. We were in room #1109 and OMG... THE VIEW!!! Room was spacious and the bed was super comfy! We loved all the special touches the resort had to offer. In our room we were given unlimited amount of snacks and drinks from our mini bar in our room, the bathroom had mouthwash, toothbrush and toothpaste, disposable shaver and shaving cream, shower cap, sewing kit, lotion, shampoo and conditioner and a loofa sponge! Food was excellent both at the restaurants and room service, top notch! We loved to get breakfast and sit on our balcony and just stare at the view. We ate at La Joya (the mexican restaurant) for dinner for our anniversary, and Miguel and Gullermo did an excellent job at making our dinner a special one. The table had fresh flowers, and a heart made from rose petals, and they had made swans out of the red napkins, so sweet!
My husband wanted some coconut ice cream (which wasn't on the menu), and they were kind enough to go get him some anyways!

The resort was incredibly clean, and there were fresh flowers and greenery everywhere, so pretty! During the day they had freshly made tamales and empanadas in the front lobby lounge in case you needed a snack that were delicious! The ice cream and sweet treats were a nice touch as well. Every night at dinner at the restaurants, we were always treated to something special for our anniversary, and the day of in our room, we had a plate of different desserts with sparkling water and a picture of my husband and I that they had taken that night at the restaurant we ate at. Turn down service was also a treat! Every night we received Ferrero Rocher on our bed, slippers were placed at bedside and aromatherapy spray for our pillows, along with bottles of water on our nightstand.

The resort has beautiful white sand, and is much calmer than the longer strip of hotels on the hotel zone, and the water is beautiful! We didn't come with kids, but seemed to be very family friendly, and since the water was calmer on this side, it made it much easier to swim. The resort grounds are immaculate, and the pools are spacious with plenty of loungers.

There are kayaks and paddle boards that are free to use and jet ski's (for a charge) when it's not to windy. There's also a lighthouse close by which is a nice little walk to in the morning to watch the sunrise.

A negative COVID test is required to return back to the states that the resort will do free of charge. We were emailed the results back within 24 hrs. and you can go to the front desk and they will print you out a copy also.

Service from the staff was top notch from the second we arrived, to the day we left. Everyone is so kind and willing to assist with anything you need. We had a phenomenal time here, and can't WAIT to return again!

Hotel advertises safety protocols and measures. They exceed all expectations here. Employees dispense sanitizer at all entrances and elevators. Restaurants and food areas are the same. Grounds are perfectly maintained and cleaned from corner to corner at all times. Rooms are spotless and cleaned once in morning and once at turn-down. The entire Hotel Zone is clean. The streets, sidewalks, stores.....exceptionally clean. This hotel is secluded in a cul-de-sac with a very fancy grocery store across the street that sells everything you could need.

The staff are wonderful friendly people and they insist on helping you and providing service even if you try to do things yourself.

The restaurants, room service are not crowded and service is impeccable. There is a Mexican Restaurant on site with amazing food, beautiful decor.

The beach is perfect. Nice chairs. Umbrellas. Towel service. Food and drinks included with plentiful staff. The hotel sits in a small “bay” facing North so waves/seaweed are minimal. Sand is raked and spotless throughout day.

I have never experienced this level of perfection in any hotel in the world. Fiesta Americana, Cancun, and Mexico in general value tourism and it shows. I will return many times.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel having previously stayed here 3 years ago. The staff was as friendly and accommodating as our first stay which was great. The Vina Del Mar restaurant has a great breakfast buffet and our waiter Bennie was wonderful. The seaside restaurant, Isla Contoy, has very good food but the service was quite slow even by Cancun standards. All of the public areas are well maintained and beautiful. This is an older hotel and I don’t believe the guest rooms have been touched since it was built. The bathtub in our room had a large chip out of the porcelain and the cast iron underneath was badly rusted. The tub faucet was badly worn and would not shut off completely. The wall mounted makeup mirror was loose and hanging crooked. The ceiling can light reflectors were badly pitted. For the price we paid I could overlook the cosmetic issues but the air conditioning vents were filthy with lots of dirt, dust and lint built up in them. They obviously had not been cleaned in quite a long time. We would gladly stay here again but only after a COMPLETE room renovation.

It is encouraging to read that you enjoyed our great breakfast buffet at Viña del Mar and the service provided by our staff mainly by Bennie! We stayed at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach for 5 days in late February and early March of 2022. Overall, our experience was quite positive. The beach and pool areas were very nice and well-kept. Staffing of the resort was abundant and friendly. However, the registration and reservation desks could have used more people and had backlogs during busy times of the day. The staff (and by extension, the guests) consistently adhered to the hotel’s COVID policies.

The hotel has a great beachfront, but is not a location where you can take a long walk on the beach (limited to the span of the property). But the area outside along the main road has plenty of sidewalks and shopping. The view from our room (room 376) was terrific. The daily housekeeping service was very good. We appreciated the nod to the environment that you could leave instructions to housekeeping to not change the bed linens unless requested.

Overall food quality is good but not excellent. The breakfast buffet at Vina del Mar offered a good selection of standard breakfast fare with several local options. It also included a wide selection of fruits and cheeses. The breakfast buffet at Isla Contoy offered some additional options in a nicer setting but starts serving at 8am. Lunch on the beach was quite good with more selections than expected. We also loved the tacos/tostadas that were available in the pool area for most of the afternoon.

For dinner we visited Vina del Mar, Isla Contoy, Havanna Club, and La Joya. Most were good, but not memorable. We were quite disappointed at the quality of the beef served at the Havanna Club (very strange given its description as an Argentine steakhouse). However, the food at La Joya was excellent and our waiter, Fernando, was outstanding. Fernando patiently answered questions about the menu and drink selections. He frequently checked in on drink refills without hovering. We had a table on the back wall of the top floor of the restaurant. The drapes on both sides of the table gave us a sense of privacy but we could still experience the rest of the restaurant. We very much enjoyed the Mariachi band and the song they played at our table.

I think my favorite restaurant was the Italian one called Tuscany I really did love them all. Our pool waiter was Roosevelt almost every day and he was amazing prompt service and kept the drinks coming all day. We were a family of 4 traveling with our friends a family of 3. I highly recommend trying the French restaurant basilico that has a surcharge but the restaurant actually rated very high and the food was great and came paired with different wines for each course.

I believe our other pool waitress was Sylvia she was also great! The service, food and cleanliness of the hotel were above our expectations. We also were complimentary room upgraded to ocean front verse ocean view, but you have to ask, we were on the 8th floor. The bathrooms in the room could use an upgrade but other than that It was a really nice room.

Kayaks and paddle boards are included at no charge we did that a few times and it was really fun. We also tried the kids club a few times and we felt very comfortable leaving our 4 year old and 7 year old there for a couple hours to get a little time alone.

This was my 7th time to Cancun and have stayed at all different resorts I would have to say the food was great at this resort.

SERVICE- try to stick with the same pool waiter/waitress everyday and they will Definitely pay extra attention I would just call for Roosevelt and he way right there helping us out he always remembered our drinks and what we were drinking. TIP don’t forget to TIP I know they say you don’t have to but they definitely appreciate it and deserve it with the great service.

The beach was gorgeous and clean NO rocks or seaweeds

They had large vases of beautiful fresh flowers 🌸 all over the resort I had to touch them because I couldn’t believe they were real and not silk flowers they were extravagant and beautiful.

Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun is "THE RESORT IN CANCUN!!!". My friends and I had an opportunity to stay at the most luxurious resort in Cancun, and we were blown away by the service and cleanness, upon arrival the bell staff took our luggage sanitized it, and delivered to our rooms. We were given hand sanitizer and checked for temperature every time we enter the resort, which give us a peace of mind during these times of pandemic.

The Resort is located walking distance from all the activities and has it's own private beach. Restaurants have by far the most Delicious menu with the finest quality. I had stake on the first night and it was amazing, incredible flavor, tender and juicy.

The staff was amazing and went over and beyond to make our stay memorable. The entire resort staff gave safety of their guest an utmost priority, wearing mask and face shields.

I want to take this opportunity to THANK, GM Alberto Aguirrezabal, Chef Sergio, and pool staff Bernice, for a fabulous private BBQ Lunch they organized for us.

We have already committed to returning with our entire families before end of 2020, and look forward to staying at the resort.

If you are looking to travel or just get away you must give Grand Fiesta Americana a chance to treat you like royalties. I highly recommend it!!!

For my first time in Cancun, I stayed at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach that I booked through Costco travel. It's my second time using Costco and it went off without a hitch (other than flying Alaska, don't fly Alaska).

The Grand Americana is an all-inclusive resort at the northeast tip of Cancun. The room was spacious and clean. If you don't want to be around an army of children, stay at an adults only resort (I wish I would have). I loved the oversized towels and the comfy bed! The staff couldn't have been more friendly and inviting. They treated me so well and were completely professional and nice. Some of the staff jumped out at me (Edwin & Dianna at the bar, Eduardo out front, Alejandra at checkin, and Heiby in the spa).

The restaurants are a disaster. I tried four of them and each time I thought it couldn't get worse. Well, they doubled down and proved me wrong. Don't go to Havana by any means. It's a night club they decided to put some dining tables in. The ambiance is horrid and the food is the epitome of mediocre (with the exception of the pastry chef - excellent job)! The Mexican restaurant plays videos on the wall at a music level that is way too loud. The food was better than a Taco Bell, but that's not saying a whole lot. The Italian restaurant was decent, but it's so small and cramped. I'll do a separate review for their French restaurant, it was better but had several issues too. Plus you pay 1,000 pesos extra to go there. They should have their act together.

The bar area and lobby have separate music playing, too loudly, which blends together. I don't know about you, but listening to two different pieces of music at the same time is annoying. Turn one off! The pool is gorgeous and inviting. You'll get better food from the pool, the morning breakfast, or the outdoor lunch than any of their restaurants.

The beach is pristine... take a walk to the lighthouse and you'll get to see the dolphins at the Hyatt!! You can't get a better view!

You MUST book a spa treatment and spend time in hydrotherapy. This was the highlight of the trip and absolutely gorgeous! Bring your phone and snap some really cool pictures frolicking in the water!

Yes, I sat through their vacation club presentation. A 45 minute conversation turned into 2 1/2 hours. I really liked Guillermo and he ALMOST hooked me in...that man can charm the stripes off a tiger! I was mesmerized; he's a great representative and deserves a fat raise! I'm sure the vacation club is a great deal for some people, but for me I'll have to pass since I like cruising with Celebrity too much!

I'd like to say I'd be back for sure, but with the kids and the restaurant problems, I probably won't.

They made a sofa bed for my child in a two double bed room. In a standard room with one king bed, there was also a sofa that could be used for another person. They refused to provide an extra bed because there was not enough space for a roller bed.

Do the restaurants require reservations? If so, is there a way to make a reservation before w arrive?

Yes, the bigger restaurants need reservations. You have to check-in and have your room number to make reservations. The desk for making dinner reservations is handy right across from the main check-in desk. Plan ahead and make each nights reservations right there all at once. Claudia who works at the dinner reservations desk was very helpful. You likely won't be able to get a reservation for the night you arrive though.
