Älskar

Älskar is Nina Nesbitt’s upcoming third studio album and is the follow-up to February 2019’s The Sun Will Come up, The Seasons Will Change and the accompanying deluxe album The Sun Will Come up, The Seasons Will Change & The Flowers Will Fall released November 2019. The album will be released on 2 September 2022. The album title Älskar refers to the Swedish word for “love”. Nesbitt’s mother comes from Sweden. Over the past two years leading up to the album’s release, Nesbitt has been exploring her Swedish roots more. She learned the Swedish language and a large part of her album was recorded in Sweden.

The first single of the album, “When You Lose Someone”, was released on 11 February 2022. The second single, “Dinner Table”, was released on 20 April 2022. Coindicing with the album announcement, the third single “Pressure Makes Diamonds” was released on 8 June 2022.

Prior to the album, Nesbitt released two singles. “Summer Fling” was released on 9 July 2021, and was written and produced by Nesbitt herself. The second single, “Life’s A Bitch”, was released on 24 September 2021. In the end, both songs did not appear on Älskar.

In between both albums, Nina Nesbitt featured on numerous songs, including Gabrielle Aplin’s “Miss You 2”, Deacon’s “Long Run”, NOTD’s “Cry Dancing”, Ronan Keating’s “The One”, R3HAB’s “Family Values”, and Seeb’s “Sweet Dreams & Dynamite”.
