Yaroslav Vladimirovich of Maloyaroslavets was born 18 January 1389 in Dmitrov, Dmitrov Rayon, Moscow Oblast, Russia to Vladimir Andreyevich of Serpukhov (1353-1410) and Elena of Lithuania (?-1438) and died 16 August 1426 of palgue. He married Anna Semyonovna Novlenskaya (c1390-1411) in Borovsk, Borovsk Rayon, Kaluga Oblast, Russia. He married Maria Fyodorovna Koshkina-Goltyayeva (c1395-c1460) .
Yaroslav (Afanasi) Vladimirovich (Jan. 18, 1389 [1] - Aug. 16, 1426) (Russian: Ярослав Владимирович (князь боровско-ярославецкий))- Prince of Maloyaroslavets (1410-1426), the son of Vladimir Andreyevich the Brave and of Princess Elena of Lithuania, the daughter of Grand Duke of Algirdas of Lithuania.
Yaroslav inherited a Maloyaroslavets, a fiefdom of his father's. The city of Maloyaroslavets had been founded by "Vladimir Andreyevich the Brave and named in honor of his son. Besides, he inherited the villages of [[Khotun, Vihorna, Polyanka, Rostunova Slobodka and Roshnevskaya Slobodka as well as Saryevsk and Kiryasovo of the Grand Principality of Moscow. He also inherited half of the villafges of Gorodets und Yurievts, the other half being inherited by his brother Semyon).[2]
In 1415 Yaroslav went to Lithuania, but in 1421 he returned to Moscow.
Family
In 1408 he married Anna Semyonova, daughter of Semyon Vasilyevich, Prince of Novlenskoe, who died after three years, in 1411.
His second wife was Maria Fyodorovna Koshkina-Glotyayeva.
During his second marriage, Yaroslav Vladimirovich had three children: a son, Vasili Yaroslavovich, who became Prince of Serpukhov and Prince of Borovsk, and two daughters: Maria Yaroslavna, who married of Grand Prince of Moscow Vasili II and Elena Yaroslavna who married Mikhail Andreyevich of Verey.
Yaroslav died in autumn 1426 during the plague epidemy. The plague also killed his brothers Andrei and Semyon. Yaroslav was buried in the Cathedral of the Archangel in the Kremlin of Moscow. In 1508 his remains were moved to the new Cathedral of the Archangel [3].
