His mother, Jennie Jerome, was a popular American socialite. He married Clementine Hozier on September 12, 1908 and they had five children together.

When did Winston Churchill die?

Winston Churchill had suffered a series of strokes since 1949. The last stroke occurred on January 15, 1965, he would never recover from this last stroke and passed away 9 days after. His physician Lord Moran announced the death at 8:35am on January 24, 1965, in his home at 28 Hyde Park Gate, London.

His last words were to his son in law, Christopher Soames, to whom he said:

“I’m bored with it all.”
