Winnifred Josephine was born on 10 March 1914.[1] Her parents were Harold Fletcher and Edith Angel
In 1916 Winnifred, age 2, lived at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada with her parents and siblings, Harold (5) and May (3).[2]
Dr. J. N. Haldeman and Win-Mfred Josephine Fletcher married on 7 June 1942 at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada.[3]
Winnifred Josephine "Wyn" (Fletcher) and her husband, Dr. Joshua Norman Haldeman, an amateur archaeologist, were adventurous and flew the family around the world in a prop plane in 1952. For over ten years, the family would spend time roaming the Kalahari desert in search of its fabled Lost City of the Kalahari. They gave slide shows and talks about their journeys and were world famous for their travels.
She died on 16 March 2012.[4] She was buried in Canmore Cemetery in Alberta, Canada.[5][4]
