Windows Live Messenger

My Son's been on my laptop and now every time I start up Windows Live Messenger starts automatically.

How do I stop this from default opening onto my desktop on start up?

Please help, it's really annoying!!!

  1. Log into the account
  2. When the Messenger window appears, click on the name underneath the photo
  3. Select 'more options'
  4. When the Options window opens, click on 'Sign in'
  5. Uncheck 'Start Messenger when I log into my computer'
  6. Click on APPLY, then OK..

1. sign on to windows live messenger
2. click the down arrow that lets you select online, busy, away, etc. and go to the bottom and select "options"
3. Choose the "general" tab
4. uncheck the box beside, "Automatically run Windows Live Messenger when I log on to Windows.
5. Click the 'Accept' button.
