Biography

Maria Luisa was born about 1919. She is the daughter of Wilhelm Wendt and Elsa Schiaparelli.

Marie was born June 1920 the daughter of Wilhelm Wendt ans Elsa Schiaprelli. In 1921 she was diagnosed with polio. In 1922 her mother legally changed her daughter’s last name to Schiaparelli fearing her husband would take the child.

She married Robert Laurence Berenson (son of James Berenson) and had two daughters: Victoria. Marisa Berenson a model and Berinthia “Berry” a photographer.
