I believe kids’ Church & youth would be two of the most important ministries in any Church. Yet the highest turnover of volunteers and the least served in ministries right across the board.
The enemy does not want you sowing into the next generation! The seed of God is powerful and he knows it! He will do anything to prevent you from doing it!
If we are not going to pour in the time to train up our children & youth in the ways of God the enemy sure will. In case you haven’t noticed there is a war against your child and grand children. The enemy is going hammer and tongs at the kids, he is relentless in trying to sow destruction into them. We must be relentless to sow the word & spirit of God to them.
CHRISTIANS! We can’t afford to be lax or lazy in this area anymore!
What an opportunity to nurture and gather the young ones for Jesus! It’s burning in His heart! He is looking for your YES to put your hand on the plough to help the next generation! Jesus needs all hands on deck to train up the children in the ways of God across every Global & local Church. Not with a heavy-hearted attitude of I have to but with a willing joyful heart attitude of I want to!
Christians are only one generation away from being extinct.
We see here in this small example in 1Kings generations and generations of evil all worse than each other.
God wants us to raise up our kids in the ways of Jesus Christ!!
Strong godly families, strong godly marriages, strong godly generations!!!
The seeds you sow now WILL NOT come back void they WILL accomplish that which He sent them to do.
To every person currently serving in these areas across the local Churches and globe THANK YOU!!!!! You are doing the MOST valuable job for Jesus!!! 😍❤️
Scriptures:
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Who Is the Greatest?
46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. (Luke 9:46-48)
1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matthew 18:1-6)
18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. (Deuteronomy 11:18-21)

A couple things about kids church and youth groups. Teaching kids is often considered women’s work and so many men don’t volunteer. The older kids though, teens, get led more often by male youth pastors because , I think, the men are able to handle older children and because the men lack the patience with the younger kids. Too is the fact that often volunteers don’t match up with the age group they’d best fit into teaching or helping so hence the burn out or high turn over rate. Someone who can’t handle the 2-4 year olds might be able to handle the 5 year olds and up. There is a communication difference between those ages and the older kids take direction better and faster and some adults can handle that better. Again one big issue is that until the church stops mostly seeing child care as women’s work then this pattern will continue. If the women’s work title would cease then more men would volunteer. I’m not saying this as a modern day feminist view, I’m saying this as someone who volunteered in children’s Sunday school and just noticed themes in my long life in the church in general. People also don’t want to give up their Sundays to volunteer and would rather spend their time learning at Church service for adults. Or they don’t want to spend a longer time at church doing two services meaning one with the kids in Sunday school and then staying longer to attend the regular church service. Or the Sunday service is only once on Sunday so that any time spent volunteering in Sunday school with the kids means that the adults miss out on the regular church service for adults. So there are a good handful of reasons for all this lack of service and high turnover rate. Teaching kids is sacrifice and hopefully God will give more grace to more people in the Body of Christ to do more of this teaching and volunteering in childrens and youth Church groups.

This was lovely. It is so good to hear that the work that you are doing with the little kids really makes a difference. I just love working with children they make me feel close to Jesus when I do.
