Police say Rivera entered the northbound side of the road from the exit ramp while going the wrong way. His car collided head-on with a gray Nissan Sentra that was heading northbound in the far right lane, police said.

Rivera was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail after being released.

Police said Rivera was charged on suspicion of two counts of homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence, reckless driving and wrong-way driving.
