amy b Enjoyable action film set in the past Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/10/24 Full Review david l The Last King is an underrated gem from Norway. It's a visually dazzling Medieval epic set in the wintery landscapes and featuring some stunning action set pieces. The final sequence where they fight on skis and horses on snowy slopes was a spectacle to behold. It's an immensely entertaining epic that is set in a very dark and interesting period in Norwegian history, but its historical inaccuracy and simplistic storytelling did take the movie down a notch or two. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Great storyline. The entire cast is explicit and authentic. The soundtrack is amazing, makes It more dramatic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Liam D As Epic as any American Historical Adventure it's a powerful and moving film about a journey for a peaceful history with great writing, acting and beautiful cinematography, costume and production design Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/19/21 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyed this movie, helped that I knew the history. John Hartl Seattle Times Gaup deftly keeps track of the major betrayals without making them seem too obvious, but we're never as involved with the characters as we were in "Pathfinder." Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 16, 2016 Full Review Jennifer Heaton Alternative Lens The Last King's basic story ... serves as the template for some stunning shots of frozen landscapes and some brilliantly done action sequences. Rated: 7/10 Nov 2, 2018 Full Review Stephanie Cooke Rogues Portal It wasn't an action-packed flick that kept me on the edge of my seat but I enjoyed the history and the scenery and the Tormund. Oh, and the Vikings on skis. Aug 21, 2018 Full Review Carlos Marañón Cinemanía (Spain) A film that leaves us great features: evocative names, credible settings and, above all, amazing warriors.
