Between the bickering McCallister kids and the bumbling Wet Bandits, Home Alone's enormous cast of memorable characters made it an iconic Christmas movie that families still love to watch to this day. Now that the 1990 John Hughes comedy is officially turning 30, take a look at where the film's central actors and actresses ended up.

Culkin's work with John Candy in Uncle Buck had convinced Hughes that he could handle the lead role of Kevin McCallister. "John knew all along that he wanted Macaulay in the movie," director Chris Columbus told Chicago Magazine. Culkin had started acting at age 4 and also previously worked on the 1989 rom-com See You in the Morning with Jeff Bridges.

In 1994, he decided to pursue a more "normal life" and enrolled in a Manhattan high school. He has since worked on a number of other projects, including a comedy rock band called The Pizza Underground and a Goop parody website called Bunny Ears. After taking a role in Seth Green's 2019 movie Changeland, he started dating costar Brenda Song.
