How To Live Stream ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Premiere

Forget “Is Jon Snow dead?” The burning question on every Game of Thrones fan’s mind tonight is “How am I going to watch the premiere?” Luckily for you, we live in a golden age where there are three different ways to legally live stream Game of Thrones.

• HBO NOW: The most straightforward way to stream HBO is to get an HBO NOW account. This is the premium cable channel’s stand alone subscription service and is usually on a few seconds (or minutes) behind the broadcast. HBO NOW costs $14.99/month, but you can apply for a free trial by clicking here.
• HBO on Sling TV: If you are a Sling TV subscriber, you are eligible for the HBO add-on. The service offers you a live stream of the network as well as access to their vast on demand library. • HBO GO: Ah, HBO GO… HBO GO is HBO’s original streaming service. It is intended as an add-on for cable subscribers and not every show is always available right as it’s being broadcast. In our experience, though, Game of Thrones is usually available in tandem on HBO GO with HBO. HBO GO is free for HBO cable subscribers, which means you need a valid cable log in to access it. In addition to being able to live stream Game of Thrones on these three platforms, all three will offer subscribers a chance to check out the brand new Game of Thrones after-show After The Thrones. The talking heads show will be anchored by Grantland alum Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan, both of whom followed Bill Simmons to HBO’s media empire after the aforementioned site was shuttered last year.
