Stewart, James H. age 90, of Ossineke, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Saginaw on August 1, 1930, to Malcolm and Marion (Strachan) Stewart. Jim was part owner of the Abbe Insurance Agency. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Lynne; two daughters, Melissa (Don) Whitfield, Kristin (Mike) Petrusma; two grandchildren; two step-grandsons; and six step great-grandchildren. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by sister, Sally Frahm. Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 p.m. with Rev. Dr. H. Robert Case officiating. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan.

Condolences to Lynne, Melissa and Kristin. Of course you know I sang Barbershop with Jim for many years. Also he was our insurance agent, too. I also taught the girls biology at DMHS. Jim was a great guy and a good friend when we all lived in Saginaw.

I was saddened to learn of Jim's passing. We were cousins and graduated from AHHS in '48. We moved out West - so lost tract of each other. ( I live in So. Bend, WA) Your family will be in my prayers.
p.s. - my husband was from Cheboygan.
