Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for a 3 night weekend break and had a great time. Shirley, the owner was arms open from the minute we walked in the door. What a wonderful welcome after a long day travelling! A stranger suddenly felt like a friend. We were given great tips on where to get cheap tram passes, what to do and see and everything to make our experience a fantastic new memory. Our rooms were on the second floor, much needed to walk off some off the full English breakfasts. The Holmeleigh is around the corner from the pleasure beach on the south side of Blackpool, which is definitely the best part to stay if you want to enjoy the visit, but also sleep at night. Well done Shirley and Dave!

This is my second stay at the hotel and I would highly recommend it. Shirley and Dave the owners cant do enough to ensure you enjoy your stay. Hotel is of a very high standard, immaculate, all rooms ensuite. The full english breakfast is a treat. The location of the hotel is what attracted me to it, across from the Sandcastle and the pleasure beach. Situated on a quiet street, ideal for familys.

Just a quick flying visit to blackpool for 1 night this time for me and the mrs,. Hosts were great, really friendly and welcoming. Room spotless, nicely decorated, fresh and airy with good facilities. Location is fantastic, seconds away from the prom, pleasure beach, sandcastle and south pier. Car parking was great too. Breakfast was really tasty with a great choice. Will definitely be coming next year for a longer stay. Thank you!

Perfect two night stay at this hotel. Fantastic location just yards from Pleasure Beach and tram stops. We received a courtesy call from the landlady on the morning of our arrival to comfirm booking and parking requirements. On arrival, with free parking, she greeted us in car park and even helped with luggage. The rooms with en suites were, it could be said, on the small side but this was of no significance, and in any event they were spotless. The breakfasts were more than ample and the bar was very reasonable. No complaints whatsoever.

Just had an overnight stay in a family room, we booked last minute and l went off the reviews on this website. The hotel is located close to the pleasure beach and sunsplash swimming pool, ideal if you have small children. The owners are really friendly and the cooked breakfast (which is included in price) was lovely. The room was small but cosy and very clean perfect for just a sleeping base. The bed was very comfy. There is parking to the rear of the hotel and when we checked out the landlady advised us where we could park as we were not leaving straight away. l would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here with our children overnight Sat til Sun so that we could visit Blackpool Zoo and the Pleasure Beach. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The lady owner opened the gates to the secure car park for us as soon as we got there. We had booked 2 family rooms and they were lovely clean and airy, with tea/coffee making facilities and clean bathroom with shower. I am usually a bit fussy and take our own pillows but I left them in the car as the bedding was spotlessly clean and fresh, they were also comfy and we had a lovely peaceful nights sleep. The location of the hotel is perfect as its a few mins walk to the pleasure beach. The lady owner chatted away to our children and warmed a bottle of milk for the little one for bed. The next morning she

Stayed here for 3 days and didn't want to leave. Owners were very friendly and helpfull. Going out of their way to help. Even made up sausage sandwiches for us for our journey home. Breakfast was 5* every day. . Room was a little bit small but was very cleanand the bed was very comfy. Will definitely stay again.

Hi John, that's extremely judgemental of you to pass comment like that. Just to confirm the manager made no reference to a refund and the service at the hotel was at a very poor standard. Now that the manager has referred to a refund I will gladly accept due to the poor quality of service. #whypayforpoorservice.
