Phone Calls

You may be happy to hear that inmates will be permitted to call home. You will not be able to call an inmate or leave a message, but you can wait for an inmate to call you from the Caldwell Correctional Center.

Inmate phone calls will be monitored and recorded for safety. You will not be permitted to use any call features such as three-way calling and call waiting.

Visitation Rules

To visit an inmate in the Caldwell Correctional Center, you will need to know if the inmate is in general population, orientation, or in the infirmary.

To visit an inmate who is in the general population, you will be able to visit them anywhere from Sunday to Friday between 8 am to 3:30 pm. You will not be able to arrive to the facility after 2 pm for visits.

However, you will be permitted to come and visit on Saturdays between 8 am to 5:30 pm, but you cannot arrive at the facility after 4 pm.

Visits for the general population inmates are a maximum of 2 hours each. Inmates who are permitted to have contact visits will be allotted five visits per calendar month. During a visit, there will be only 3 people permitted to visit at one time. You should keep in mind that children over the age of 3 will count as one visitor.

Inmates who are classified as orientation inmates will not be permitted to receive visits from their friends and family. However, these inmates will be permitted to have legal visits from their counsel.

Inmates who are classified as administrative/segregation are inmates who are only permitted to have non-contact visits. These visits can happen every day between the hours of 8 am to 2 pm.

In order to visit an inmate, you will need to be at the facility prior to 12 pm. If you arrive after 12 pm, you will not be permitted to visit the inmate that day.

These inmates in administrative/segregation are only permitted to have 2 visits per calendar month and these visits can have 2 people.

Inmates who are in the infirmary will only be permitted to have visitors who are approved by the warden and the assistant warden.
