Is there a map of ley lines in North America?
Hullo,
I’m ramping up to GM an open world game of Savage Rifts with some friends. The campaign will have a hex-grid map for overworld travel, with players discovering towns, terrain features, and other points of interest as they go. Obviously, a pretty notable feature the players will encounter are ley lines.
The rules under Encountering Ley Lines (p.122 Tomorrow Legion Player’s Guide) suggest a GM roll dice when needing to determine if a ley line is nearby. I feel this works well enough for scene-by-scene play, but don’t think it’ll work quite as well with a permanent world map.
So, all that said, is there a published map or other reference material for placements of ley lines in North America? Even something like a rough guide (“there’s typically a ley line every 50 miles”) would be helpful.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
The back of the Game Master's Guide has a collection of maps for all of Rifts Earth with info on major Ley Lines/nexus points and where they're likely to be found. AFAIK, many lesser lines really do just come and go from time to time. This would be the best place to start for "official" maps.
Good info, thanks!
Ok. The main area of ley lines in NA is the Magic Zone. And that is Mississippi River valley, Centered at the St. Louis Arch Super Nexus Point. Another major area is the ruins of Tolkeen. The southern side of the Grand Canon has alot of major ley lines. And around Duluth. In Canada the Main area of Ley lines is the ruins of Calgery. In Mexico the Ley Lines follow the mountins south to the Yucatan Peninsla, which is also a super Nexus Point
Wow, nice. Thanks for the info!
What about in Florida?
Would that run through Cairo Illinois? Does it need to be on the super nexus point?
Check the federation of magic book
Will do!
I've had this linked on the PB forums for years of my Gdrive, not my work but a really handy map of of Rifts NA:

Google is your friend! There are like HUNDREDS of ley line maps of the USA! I Liked this one, but your taste will most likely vary!
