Notre Dame Basilica is definitely a sight worth seeing, even if to admire the architecture. Private tours are available, but it is openly available to the public to wander in at their leisure. Beautiful stained glass and details at the altars make this at least worth a visit.

Was in the city for 3 full days. There are lots to do. There are museums, lots of restaurants, walking areas, and etc. I would recommend plan ahead so you do not go into this trip blind and not knowing what to do.

This write-up is very inaccurate, the Gardens are nowhere near the the little Italy neighborhood or the jean Talon marker, both are 45mins away via metro (train). Might as well say the Gardens are close to downtown lol .

Saint Joseph's Oratory is worth the Climb to the Top. of Mount Royal.. We have visited before and it's beauty is timeless.

Outstanding museum! A wide collection of art well presented. Recommend you plan for several hours to take it all in. Multiple floors spread across several buildings all accessible through connecting walk ways.

Loved this market! So many options for fresh fruits, vegetables, prepared food, desserts, even flowers! Open air but covered market with a great variety of vendors. Underground and inexpensive parking is available. Also close to the Italian section if so inclined. Highly recommend!! If you enjoy going to markets do not miss this one.

I wasn't expecting to see so many animals in the biodome. I was thinking it would be like the Eden Project in Cornwall and be all plant based. However, the animals appeared to have plenty of space and be living in a suitable environment so it was enjoyable.

We had seen this museum on several previous visits and finally made it there on Wednesday (April 17th).

What a great destination - extremely interesting and educational without a hint of boredom.

The way they have incorporated the remains of previous buildings into the current museum site is awesome. Also the use of technology in the film and in displays like the "Google Earth" tour of 1703 Old Montreal are something I haven't seen before and do a great job of showing the history of the site and the city.

This museum definitely qualifies as a "hidden gem" and I think it should be a much higher profile attraction!

Plan to spend 3+ hours to really explore and appreciate this museum..

Finally, we had a great lunch experience at the Cafe on the 2nd floor. Amazing views, food and service!

My wife and I visited the Old Port during a trip to Montreal and loved it. This port is very similar to Chicago’s Navy Pier. Very nice!

Fun to walk and pop in to stores, be sure to read the history so you study the buildings and not just the art stores. Beautiful at night but more open during the day.

My mother and I had looked forward to visiting the Barbie museum in Montreal for months leading up to our trip.

We were scared a few weeks before as it said temporarily closed, but did not stress as this seems to happen often and for short periods of time.

The expo is free and inside a shopping center, which can be a bit tricky to find if you are not familiar with the area. Admission is free.

We were amazed at all the Barbie’s. Each section was themed such as cultural, wedding, celebrity, fashion, and so on.

Some people could get through the expo in 15 minutes, but we probably spent an hour here admiring the beautiful dolls.

    Great for all ages.
