Gwen Stefani May Be Expecting Baby No. 4 at 53 — the First for Her & Husband Blake Shelton
Rumor has it that country crooner Blake Shelton is finally getting a shot at fatherhood. Sources have told Life & Style magazine that Gwen Stefani is pregnant with the couple's first child together after several rounds of failed attempts at IVF. This would be the fourth child for Gwen but the first for the two of them as a couple.
The insider said the happy news had been a long time coming.
According to what someone close to the couple told Life & Style (by way of IB Times), Gwen had been desperate to "give Blake his own child" and "decided to give IVF another chance a few months ago."
Apparently, the pair had undergone the process in the past without having any luck, and Gwen wanted to give it just one more go before calling it quits on the dream for good.
The lack of a positive pregnancy test had been weighing on Gwen.
Anyone who's gone through IVF will tell you that the process can take a major toll on your physical and emotional state, and the singer was no exception. The source told the magazine that doctors had advised Gwen to "give her body a break" after a series of failed attempts.
Although that was hard on Gwen, it sounds like it really upset Blake as well.
The two shared the ups and downs of their experiences together.
"She'd get her hopes up after every round and get deflated when it didn't happen. She was so desperate to have a baby with Blake that she put pressure on herself, which was a lot for him to deal with, too," the source continued. "He hated seeing Gwen like that."
Gwen and Blake tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony back in 2021 after dating for six years.
Good news was right around the corner for the pair.
All of that heartache may have come to a screeching halt after Gwen decided to give IVF one more try.
Now, the source said Gwen's baby bump is growing, a sure sign that their last attempt was a huge success for the family.
"Friends are buzzing that at 53 Gwen is pregnant," the source continued. "She and Blake are said to be beyond overjoyed."
The growing family is calling it a Christmas miracle.
Blake's shopping habits seem to hint that the pair are expecting a baby girl — the source says he's been stocking up on "little pink cowgirl boots and a cowgirl hat" — but there's still no confirmation from the hopeful parents to be.
If the news is true, we have to imagine Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, Gwen's sons from her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale, are over the moon at the idea of finally getting a little sister.
