Chad got all of Tammy's internet passwords a week before she died. "A Miracle!"

Trial Discussion

So Chad told his friend Craig Hough that only a week prior to Tammy's "unexpected" death that he made the effort to get all the passwords from Tammy for stuff like their bank accounts which he never cared about before. God must have told Chad Tammy's death was imminent and he would need all the passwords to be able to take care of himself. Geez, so transparent. I really can't see the jury finding him not guilty.

What’s a miracle is that he got away with her murder for as long as he did.

What's a miracle is that any woman would let that doofy weirdo come within 10 feet.

I just watched a body language video about Stud Muffin Storm Chad (I’m being sarcastic people) where he went through how he never moves. He showed old videos and new videos where he literally never moves. He said a lot of sociopaths do that.

The detective that helped bring the golden state rapist to justice said that Joseph DeAngelo would not move for hrs, this is how he stalked his victims and why they thought he'd left their homes(crime scenes) while they were blindfolded He did the same in the interrogation rooms after being arrested

Yes I read that too. Also that when he did move in front of LE he faked old and creaky but climbed around like a gymnast when he thought no one was looking

If Chad was born with sociopathy, without the part of the brain that produces empathy and connection working well and considering that his family produced two therapists, Chad spent his childhood feeling different and learning how to hide himself which explains the stiffness of response for two reasons: 1, he only genuinely is able to feel sorry for himself and what he identifies as him, and 2, he grew up learning that his responses aren't 'normal' and developed this stunted style to stay out of trouble and be accepted by his siblings and parents.

he grew up learning that his responses aren't 'normal' and developed this stunted style to stay out of trouble and be accepted by his siblings and parents.

Remember how he googled "when somebody surprises you with accusations"? He may have been trying to figure out what to do or say if Tammy called him out about Charles' email. (Complete speculation of course, but what a weird thing to search.)

Kids aren't born that way. Empathy is learned from having at least one attached caregiver who pays attention to and positively interacts with a child in the first three years of life. His parents most likely ignored him as a toddler. Both he and Lori came from large Mormon families that are a recipe for early childhood neglect. I worked with toddlers with reactive attachment disorder and they had the same blank stare that a lot of psychopaths do. Thats because RAD becomes antisocial personality disorder later in life. They don't interact with toys or people and don't know the difference between the two, much less the difference between their parents and other people. Since they were born with normal brains, they can develop cognitive and social skills as they grow, but the window for acquiring empathy closes at age 3. If a toddler is severely neglected their brains can become abnormal. Basically parents destroy their perfectly normal children, usually because they lack empathy for their kids. The kids I worked with were on their parents cell phones or handheld devices all day. So Ill leave you all with the implications of that disturbing thought.

I think they are on witness list so they can’t be there.

Because they’re also victims they’re able to attend

I get the feeling Chad’s kids do whatever he says. I wonder if he told them to stay away (so they don’t figure out he actually killed their mom.)

I feel for those trusting, kind people in his orbit. So many revelations, big (he remarried?!?) and small, like this one. It must really have rocked their worlds to know that Brother Chad was a murderous Choad.

u/mvt14 avatar

Mormons are SO trusting its insane, like they give the benefit of the doubt no matter what. And trust people they barely know just because they go to church together

Yes, I read that Utah leads the country in cases of fraud and MLMs, the latter of which thrive with "affinity" sales.

It feels like this makes the trusting Mormon neighbours and friends testimony so much more impactful. I'm not religious but you can feel the 'vibe' from the people testifying that they'd feel guilty for even thinking maybe Chad did something to Tammy, so for them to question him (and themselves) about why is the funeral so fast? What do you mean Tammy just died suddenly? Why no autopsy, Chad? Why did you get remarried so fast? All of their innocent trusting vibes and their 'This feels suspicious' thoughts kinda pack more of a punch for me.

Good point. Let's hope the jurors are impressed with their trusting nature and the impact his behavior had on them.

or they went to church with 20 or 30 years ago. It shocks me when people who went to church with my husband when he was a teenager will run into him after more then 20 years of not seeing each other, ask him what do you do for work, and offer him a contract or jobs. How do they know my husband does good work (he does but how would they know). It is not hard to wonder why almost every home I have lived in, in Utah has some huge building flaws. The 150+ year old home I grew up in in New england had better working plumbing and electrical then almost any home I have lived in Utah.

It will always be a mystery if it was Tammy or Chad who read the email from Charles about Chad and Lori's affair. It came out today the email was read and Charles's address was blocked.

u/Reasonable_Battle_20 avatar

Yeah , I think Chad got into Tammy’s email and blocked Charles after Charles told Lori he got ahold of Tammy - 💯. Because if she read it I think the daughter or one of her friends or sister would’ve heard about it .

When Brandon said his phone was blocked from Charles, did he ever confirm Melani did it? I wonder if Lori taught Melani how to do this or vice versa and that is how Chad learned. One thing I do believe is Tammy was the brains and the techie of the house. Chad seemed dim and like tech was almost evil (or he was better or more riteous for not having the latest iphone ) before he needed the burner phones.

Brandon said on the stand that Melani was the only one with access to his phone, so it must have been her.

Melani was quite young, I think she would know how to block someone, it’s not exactly hard. Even if she didn’t know how, I’m sure she’s adept enough to google it.

u/Reasonable_Battle_20 avatar

True

u/Reasonable_Battle_20 avatar

Also , I was saying this to myself the other day listening to court proceedings… I wish detectives or crime scene people would’ve done swabs of Chad and Tammy’s room, specially on Tammy i.e fingerprints /hair samples / footprints outside the bedroom window etc- I would’ve liked to see if Alex was in there at some point the night Tammy died . Maybe fingerprints around the window seal to their room- because if Garth was home , I dont Think Alex would go through the front door -

Wasn't it her work emails though? She would (and should) have deleted it and blocked it immediately because 1) workplaces drill into you that you should not be using work resources for personal email and non-work communication (especially in gov jobs like a school!!), 2) since it was from someone she did not know, she may have thought it harassment or even a phishing attempt, and 3) she was still on probation at that school. She was likely following every rule to a T! She was likely just protecting her job and even was probably pissed that Charles chose to compromise her job by sending drama there where her work IT folks could read it.

Plus, this is Chud we are talking about. Not exactly the smartest, most cunning, individual. I'm not seeing him covertly sneaking into her account and delete an email.

u/Reasonable_Battle_20 avatar

all they would have to do is check to see if the Charles email was deleted / blocked on Tammy’s computer at work or if the email account was accessed from another device I.e home computer or laptop on the day the email was deleted . The IT witness said they use google I belive . I know on google you can see logs of when there’s logins and attempted logins into your email - i wanna know so bad if she read it or not

I read somewhere that Tammy stayed logged into her work e-mail at home during the summer. It’s not farfetched to think Chad accessed that e-mail, deleted it, and blocked Charles’ e-mail address.

Or perhaps she did. If someone sent me an e-mail like that I might read it and block the person. I don't know if I'd like to have contact with that a person who sent something like that until I'd be ready. I think there is a good chance she read it.

Chad didn't know any p/w's and I doubt he would have been able to get access to Tammy's work email. It came out in a conversation somewhere that Tammy knew Chad was having an affair and starting to question him about it.

Didn’t someone say that they noticed Tammy and Chad sat away from each other at church and that she wasn’t really socializing that much at family events recently? This makes me think that she did read the email. Do you guys think she would have confronted Chad?

Probably, it's not the first time he played around.

I always felt that way. I wish Charles didn’t give them such a heads up

More replies

I wish they would have asked more specific questions around the email like on what device was it opened and blocked? A school computer with a school IP address? Or a school computer with an IP address of the Daybell residence? Was it opened on a mobile phone? (Not a far fetched idea, I get my work email on my personal phone). And if it was on a mobile phone, I can easily see Chad having access to it as opposed to a school computer on a school IP address.

What is the time difference between the email being sent, opened, deleted and email being blocked? That could confirm if someone actually took the time to read it. Or if they opened it multiple times.

Idk I just feel like the ball was dropped around this evidence. Everything now a days is time stamped and IP address recorded in the metadata.

u/Nvnv_man avatar

That was at school

School address, it is possible she could open it anywhere. I have known my son to open his on his phone in the bathroom 🙄

u/Electrical-Swim-5784 avatar

We are encouraged to have our school email accessible at home for professional reasons. So, I think it may have been easy to get access to it. Wasn’t his brother and IT guy?

On the other hand, as a teacher and government employee, do you not delete and block suspicious or drama emails about your marriage from people you don't know on your work account?

This was during the summer and I think she was on reduced hours? I would bet the IP address from where it was blocked was home, either a laptop or phone.

It was totally Chad. Too bad that Charles warned Lori he was going to send it, and then when he did send it.

Why can't people accept Tammy received the email from Charles (some random stranger), deleted it and Blocked him?

Lori probably wanted Tammy to know (most mistresses do!) so she could have Chad to herself.

I think in this case, and at this time, Chad and Lori were together trying NOT to have Tammy find out. Lori had gotten into Charles’ email and sent him an email “from Charles” asking him to travel etc. that was all to hide their visits from Tammy. And, Lori thought she was being crafty but didn’t delete the email from Charles’ sent box, which is what tipped him off and inspired Charles to email Tammy himself. And, I think that especially because Charles asked Lori for the truth, and said if she didn’t tell him he was going to email Tammy - so I assume Chad was watching for that email to come.

I think that if Tammy would’ve read the email at all, she would have told someone in those 4 months…or would have at least looked up Charles name (and see that he was murdered).

u/No-Film9934 avatar

I think Chad got into her computer probably another password he got from her .

She probably just left her email accounts open on the family computer. Why would she think she should hide her work emails from Chad?

How very convenient for Chad! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

u/EducationalPrompt9 avatar

So he didn't have the passwords when Alex shot at Tammy? I doubt it.

I think that’s probably the day he got the passwords. Poor Tammy just living on borrowed time for that week.

u/Kooky-Yoghurt-2531 avatar

I think the paint ball gun incident was staged to set the scene for her murder later, but Chad was too impatient and choked her in bed instead of letting Alex do the deed.

u/No_Anywhere8931 avatar

Chad messed up by telling people different scenarios how Tammy died and what illnesses she had. These people were so dumb.

u/EducationalPrompt9 avatar

The paintball incident was meant to end in Tammy's death. Alex was clumsy with the rifle or perhaps he was spooked by Tammy's voice.

u/Super_Campaign2345 avatar

Is that when Lori made the comment that Alex couldn't do anything right?

And yet Chad or Emma(?) can't remember which said Tammy wasn't able to drive because of her health 🤷‍♀️

What a cheesy ass childish man 🤢

Not giving props to a soon-to-be (fingers crossed) convicted murderer, but knowing your family's passwords and digital accounts is actually super important to have, you can make it a part of your estate plan. This prevents so many headaches for your loved ones during a time of grief.

On the other hand, maybe bring it up in front of witnesses you trust? Don't murder your spouse the very next week? Or ever? Be suspicious if this conversation comes up around the time you increase life insurance? Tell everyone you know about the conversation without actually providing them with said passwords? Don't marry a weirdo?

This! My mom was a well planned person with her estate and trust and long term care plans. In 1995 she had it all written out, every last wish and plan. In 2021 I got the dreaded call that I needed to make choices while she was in the OR. Medically I was able to make decisions and get her into long term care but the biggest hurdles were her phone , internet and passwords. The trusts the lawyer wrote after 1998 had internet and passwords and all the new tech stuff included but she neevr updated hers to this clause. It was crazy I could sell my mom's house, change her investments, but I had no way to change out her broken cell phone or cancel her cable Tv because it had a pin code and customer service was overseas and didnt care.

"Don't murder your spouse the very next week? Or ever?"

💀

u/Stark3933 avatar

My mom had a stroke. No one knew any passwords. Me n dad had to redo her entire life. My dad said never again. He knows all passwords. He told us kids n told us the safe combo. I’ve been trying to open that safe since I was 10. I searched for that combo, he hid it under his lamp!! 30 years!!! I waited. Now I don’t care. Ha ha

I want to know how he got them, and if getting them was a factor in the timing of "removal" (as he put it in a text to Lori).

I can't picture him doing any kind of hacking. He's not that smart. Spyware, maybe?

Or maybe she had them saved in the browser? That could explain a lot.

Does anyone here know if any computers were taken from the house?

I think he probably just told her he needed them because of his premonitions.

She probably had them stored on her browser for convenience. If so that wouldn't be hard for Chad to get.

He may have just asked her. I'm sure she'd heard him say she would die young if he supposedly had been telling so many people this for so long. She seemed to believe his prophet nonsense. I wonder if that's why she upped her life insurance and was exercising and eating healthy. Seems like maybe she took it seriously and was trying to prevent it but prepare just in case because even if he didn't love her she loved him and her children.

u/EducationalPrompt9 avatar

Chad probably didn't tell too many people about his predictions. Just those who would believe him and not tell Tammy.

The evidence seems to indicate otherwise

u/EducationalPrompt9 avatar

Prior is trying to make it seem like Chad spoke at conferences in front of hundreds of people that Tammy would die. I haven't seen any corroboration of that. At the same events he was meeting with his supporters in small groups in people's homes. I believe that's where he told people who he thought he could trust.

Didn't tell the kids that bit of info...

It seemed 1/2 the world knew Tammy was going to die young...

And I don’t really get why Prior is playing that up, how does that in any way make Chad look less guilty? Is Prior trying to make it seem like Chad really is a prophet?

If Tammy controlled the bank acct(s) it's obvious Lori was paying for their hotel trysts their trip to Houston etc.

u/Stark3933 avatar

Chad had no job n no money just a few bucks from speaking for free so he has venue to sell books n have affairs with previous wives from previous lives. It’s the Mormon pick up line used by every single speaker. See lawsuit on tim Ballard. Zero relations to Lds church leaders. He lied!!!

Or rather, Charles was paying.

Which means he didn’t have Tammys work password and she( most likely) opened and read Charles enail
