- Jessica SWolverhampton, United Kingdom100 contributionsAwesome theme ParkThis place is seriously the best theme park I've ever been to. Wow, wow, wow!! The zones are amaaaaazing and are setup so beautifully with lush tropical trees and plantation. The rides are fantastic from very young to all ages, our 2 year old absolutely loved Sesame Adventure and she was tall enough to go on 4 fantastic rides and absolutely loved the big soft play playground... we really would have liked her to go on several more in the China area however we also watched some brilliant entertainment! The Easter bunny show with singer and dancers was fantastic! And so was the meet and greet Shrek performance. What makes this park unique and so attractive are these added performances and they will keep us coming back. Next time we visit Salou, hopefully next year - we would love to visit in the summer months and see the Carnival and the Fireworks display, would 100% recommend and come back .... my only critique would be please have more signage for toilets! And would have been useful to have more drinks huts open around the park, overall 10/10Visited April 2023Written 14 April 2023
- MisJudge69 contributionsWe really enjoyed our dayWe went with a 3 year old and had a very enjoyable day. The numbers were obviously not as high as peak summer so this was a huge bonus. There was a 30min wait for the two big rollercoasters and maybe 5 mins for everything else. We found a lot to do and lots of rides for our little one, who is just under a metre tall and this exempted her from most things. Still, there were about 10 rides she could go on, 2 big play centre/climbing rigs so she had a ball. We were there from 11am to 6pm and we missed out on quite a lot because we hadn't time. We brought a packed lunch so can't comment on the food. We got a taxi to and from cambrils park and it was €25 each way. There was a taxi waiting outside porteventura thankfully because we had nothing ordered. We had a memorable and great day.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 May 2023
- Nick RLeeds, United Kingdom3 contributionsHorrible Cue jumpersWent here May22 2023. Was looking forwards to the thrill of the rides, unfortunately to many Spanish children aloud to jump the cues. Large groups would just push in from because there friends were there. People smoking in the cues when it was clearly marked no smoking and the ridiculous cueing system was utter rubbish. Absolutely no organisation. Signs saying 20 minutes wait were an hour long wait. Some took 2 hours to get on. Park opened at 10am and closed at 6pm which is again ridiculous. Managed to get discounted tickets from Aldi in Salou. This saved us almost €100. So check that out first. would be much better without the school trips and even the teachers allowing cue jumping. Shambles.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 May 2023
- Martin RBootle, United Kingdom187 contributionsGoodVery good get a 3 day pass from your rep. Pack good food a bit dear. It's a bit weird some of the rides r fast and the kids can get on them. And some r Abit slow and they can't get on them as there to small. It don't make senseVisited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 25 May 2023
- svman1000Weymouth, United Kingdom55 contributionsVery good theme parkBought a three day ticket to all three parks. It was very busy when we went as all the local school children had gone there for an end of year treat. Very manic and noisy. Still over the three days we managed to get on all the rides we wanted to. Some of the rollercoasters are great and some are pretty rough and bash you about a bit. Ok, if you're young, but not us middle age folk. Food in the park is your usual stuff and quite expensive for what it is. Ferrari land isn't great though, unless you really love the brand. Only one good ride there as far as I'm concerned. The water park next door is good. Plenty of space and sun loungers. Rides are good too. A must do, if you visit Salou.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 9 June 2023
- Flavia SBrunnen, Switzerland31 contributionsGreat fun for all ages!We came in 2019 - prior to the pandemics - and came back now. It was a very good surprise to see that the customer service mindset of the park has improved dramatically and every employee is attentive and friendly. Rides and infrastructure is very well maintained, it is a great option for all ages and we had a lot of fun!Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 June 2023
- juicyfruit8London, United Kingdom19 contributionsJust visit during the evening!!If visiting during summer I would suggest saving money by buying an evening ticket which allows access from 6pm i believe. When we went for the whole day the park was so busy it was over an hour wait for all rides and the queues get very boring which takes away from the experience of the actual ride when you finally get to it. We stayed from 11am until 11pm and after 7pm the park was basically empty! The waits for the rides that had previously been 2 hours (dragon khan & shambhala) were about 10 minutes which was basically just walk straight on. We managed to do all the big rides and a few others in a couple of hours! Definitely don’t bother coming during the day- the evening is less busy and there’s more shows and entertainmentVisited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 June 2023
- adventurechanExeter, United Kingdom31 contributionsAdventure for everyoneA great theme park for all ages. I love how it is all set up as mini worlds such as China, Polynesia, The Wild West, The Mediterranean, Mexico and even seasame street. They were all decorated so well and felt like you had been transported to that country. I went with my partner and we loved the rollercoasters. Dragon Khan was amazing. Thrill seekers will be in their element. I would recommend avoiding visiting on the weekend due to how busy it can be. The longest we queued for a ride was 1hour but it did seem to get worse throughout the day. There are a few restaurants and vendors throughout the park.Visited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 June 2023
- Sarah F2 contributionsPort Aventura visit Mon 3/7/2023Lack of staff about to help manage a smooth experience. Unsure if covid played a part in this. People kept jumping the queue mainly spainish aged school children. Queues up to 1 hour 50 mins. If you are bigger in the skin like myself and parter. You will struggle to feel comfortable on the rides. Some won't let you on at all. I get the safety aspect but by now I would have thought attractions would be more diverse. My favourite ride dragon Khan which was worth the wait.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 July 2023
- Resort240707532054 contributionsA theme park not to be missedHad a great day out here, the rides were mind blowing. Went to Ferrari land aswell. If you have just a day here like we had I'd highly recommend getting the express passes. You'll get on all the rides in a day then. Only negative was it was peak season & some of the restaurants weren't open during the day. Other than that can't wait to get back.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 July 2023

PortAventura Salou in Costa Dorada, Spain offers a vibrant and diverse amusement park experience suitable for families and thrill-seekers alike. The park boasts a range of thrilling rides, immersive themed areas, and live entertainment options. From adrenaline-pumping roller coasters to charming family attractions, there's something for everyone. However, crowds can be significant, particularly during peak seasons, leading to long wait times for popular rides. Additionally, some areas of the park may benefit from refurbishment to maintain their appeal. Overall, PortAventura Salou provides an enjoyable day out, but visitors should be prepared for queues and consider visiting during quieter periods for a more relaxed experience.

I love this park so much! But this time it disappointed me A LOT!! Traveled there on 17th Feb 2024. We were looking to go to enjoy the rollercoster, BUT!!! From all rollercoster properly worked just few. Waiting in queue for one hour on most of them, just before us it had unexpected issues! And ride was impossible. Of course we were trying another and the same story. It was 8 people of us, paid full amount (it is not cheap) we just lost time Waiting for nothing. Even after all the kinda work and stock , work and stock, not sure it even safe rides!! I hope it will be taken in account!

The park is pretty interesting if you are interested in rollercoasters and brave enough to face the crazier ones. If you don’t really like them, it’ll probably be a bit boring, since they are all over the place. I’d think twice before taking little kids there. I didn’t go to Ferrari Land because it was closed, just like lots of restaurants, which I personally didn’t like. Still had a good time there though.

What a amazing, magical theme park. Visited last Easter with my 3 year old, Sesame Street land is perfect for the little ones. I thought the large magical looking tree was fantastic, especially with the eggs for Easter! I'd love to come back again at Easter as the Easter bunny show was super and my little girl loved it! The costumes were beautiful and everywhere was decorated lovely. We also caught a shrek performance which again was fantastic. I love the different themed areas such as Mexico/China/Wild West, it just makes it all so theatrical and exciting. The shows and people in costumes give the park that extra wow factor and I'd absolutely love to visit again to view the firework displays and street carnival! It was also lovely and clean too.

This theme park is amazing. Me and my family have been here before and it was just as fabulous as we remembered. There is such a brilliant variety of rides for both thrill-seekers and youngsters. If you visit this park, you must ride Shambhala! This is my favourite rollercoaster I’ve ever ridden. Not far behind is the new arrival to the park, Uncharted. In my opinion, this park is a really good value for money and even has amazing food! We will definitely be back, PortAventura.

This park is a disgrace. Yes it has nice theming. Yes it has some great rides but the whole place is a rip off. I used to visit it regularly during the 2010s but have not been for quite a long time and was disgusted by the way the place has changed. Its still has the same problems it did before with rude, badly behaved Spanish teenagers acting like the own the place with no security in sight to control them but how we have the sight of huge queues for rides being made bigger by the worst operations I have ever seen in a theme park. And IMO and in the view of many others having read and seen many Theme Parks website etc it is done on purpose to make as many people as possible buy Express passes, which by the way are not limited in their numbers. Shambhala for example had a 2 hour plus queue with only one train running, Dragon Kahn the same. Some of the rides are not even covered by the Express Pass and you are required to pay even more to avoid the queue for those
such as over 7 euros per person for Sesame Street Street mission which is basically a kids ride. Another bug bear was that children are allowed to stand in long lines to be told just as they are about to get on that they aren`t tall enough. Surely this should be made clear at the start of the line not at the end of it yet very few of the rides have height measuring boards etc and it is done by a member of staff with a metal rod as the child is about to get on. This causes a lot of heart break for the child and annoyance for the parents. Shocking way to treat kids IMO.
I have seen people here call this place "the best theme park in Europe". To those people I suggest you go to Eftelling, Phantasialand and especially Europa Park to see now a real theme park is run and not this shambolic park who`s only thought is how much money they can make out of the guests. All three of those parks are a hundred times better than this place. My last visit to PortAventura will be exactly that. My last visit.

i am currently in salou for a trip with my family and the “dia de los muertos” theme is on. in the evening time until closing the park has live actors who jump and scare you, it’s torture especially with young children and people who jump easily, would not recommend if you are easily scared or have kids who will get scared. other than that the park is amazing and i would definitely recommend it other than the halloween theme

Hi sorry no I've never had to buy an express pass. What site are you trying to book from? I've used Attraction Tickets and Portaventra's own website before. Should be able to email them and ask about adding on the express pass option. Hope this helps.

Coming in September around the 15th we have tickets included in our hotel price can you upgrade these to fast pass
Are the fireworks still on at this time of year
Do you need to pay an extra admission fee if you already have the tickets to PortAventura itself?
Hi can you take your own food and drinks in with you or do you have to buy these in there

You are processed through a security checkpoint before entry. Not too dissimilar to an airport. I was able to bring drinks in and some small food items.

You should have a ticket with a bar code on it for entrance to the park.
I would check with the holiday booking.

Is the park open in February? The 2024 tickets aren't available yet and online says its open all year round, but is it seasonal? Will the park be open in February 2024 and the tickets just aren't released yet?

The park was open in Feb 2023 for the first time. Not sure if they intend to do the same for 2024. They normally open in April. That is what I have heard.
