- Ljubica BLondon, UK5,088 contributionsLovely spacious place used to be an old factory , there are many restaurants , playgrounds, street food, shops, cinema,, etc. this place has a lot of life highly recommended to visitWritten April 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - petergab10Melbourne, Australia627 contributionsThe street does live up to all the hype you read about it and definitely worth a long walk to experience what it has to offer. The architecture of the old building and the old street lamps make a beautiful statement day or night. Restaurants, bars, shops, nightclubs, cafes and cake shops, bronze statues, Side streets off Piotrkowska St offer some great street art, Rose Passage mosaic glass building. There are so many photo opportunities definitely worth a visit.Written February 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ashleigh LLondon, UK6 contributionsHumbling and important historical trip. The ghetto created during WW2 is a huge part of the history of Lodz and it is worth a visit to understand the town in much more depthWritten February 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dorota O1 contributionGreat museum and very helpful staff! The main building is disabled visitor friendly too (elevators, wide corridors, nice audio-guide with great audio-descriptions for blind and low-vision users)! Not sure about the wheelchair accessibility of the courtyard (cobblestone) and huts (thresholds), you should probably ask the staff at the ticket office. You can choose how many exhibitions you see depending on the time you have for your visit. Will definitely come back!Written December 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Roman KWarsaw, Poland985 contributionsA magnificent palace with preserved period furniture and furnishings, full of excellent paintings by: Malczewski, Wyspiański, Boznańska and other celebrities. - petergab10Melbourne, Australia627 contributionsA part of Lodz history and definitely worth reading more about the Radegast Station which will help you have a better understanding of the history the train station holds. As tens of thousands of Jewish people were herded off by train to the death camps at Chelmno-nad-Nerem in 1942-1944 and then to Auschwitz in August 1944. You need to enter the station building to appreciate the original floor and internal roof structure. There is a large model of the old station and surrounding area of Lodz ghetto which lights up when listening to an audio tape in Polish or English language.
From the car park you reach the station by walking through the tunnel of memory and a monument commemorating the Jewish people who were taken away through station. Cattle wagons and steam engine stand next to the platform and the large headstones highlight the destinations the loaded trains headed to Stutthof, Ravensbruck, Chelmno, Auschwitz-Birkenau. A memorial which honours the victims of the ghetto and the deportations.Written February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marcin WalczakEdinburgh, UK391 contributionsLast time I visited this ZOO seven years ago and have to admit that went through massive transformation. This is definitely something that city of Lodz could be proud of, and should be on a must see list for anyone visiting central Poland.
Tickets are reasonably priced and could be booked online in advance or bought at the entrance. Car park is quite cheap but some improvement could be made in regards parking spaces. Be aware of additional payments for no compulsory 7D experience in Orientarium. Prices of food at the food court are reasonable too, and choice and quality are very reasonable.
For even medium size group with young kids I would suggest at least half day if not a full day experience. Apart of animals and Orientarium, which is must see during visit, there is a playground for younger kids and a play park for older ones too. Everything seems to be in a walkable distance even for toddlers. Definitely will be back as soon as visiting this region in near future.Written September 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
