Ask S Creepy concept, good acting, resolving ending. Starts off with a happy tone, and this unsettling feeling gradually builds. Until the end, where everything finally comes together. It is nice to have a resolving ending for a change. The relationship between the sister and brother feels very real. It is also nice to see a movie where kids are not just written as small adults, but has the quirks and different views that kids would in real life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Aidan B Don't listen to the negative reviews!!! This is a great movie that made me laugh cry, and poop myself! (I have incontinence) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Kelly N Just stupid, dumb and pointless Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Pedro G Buena película, una cinta de terror con toques de comedia muy entretenida. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review Miche H The acting was bad. Really bad in my opinion. The found footage doesn't work because it's just not believable as found footage. Jump scares predictable. Seemed like a bad student film. Corny. Premise could have been interesting but falls flat. Not scary at all. Ending was unsatisfying. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/16/24 Full Review Dan R Finding an M. Night Shyamalan film I'd never seen or knew about is always quite exciting. And that was the case with 2015's 'The Visit'. SYNOPSIS: 'Two siblings become increasingly frightened by their grandparents' disturbing behavior while visiting them on vacation.' As much as Shyamalan wants Hollywood to believe this isn't a found footage film that's clearly very much what it is, and that's a big change for the director. Maybe he's shedding his ego or the rigid principles he normally follows, but either way this is a really entertaining film which reminds us of what a great director he is. The film really does reinvent the found footage genre as this goes places we really don't expect. The big twist at the film's conclusion is unexpected right up to the last minute, and Shyamalan builds up the suspense expertly making us come to many conclusions, which are wrong. With genuine jump scares, tension and parts which will churn your stomach it's a fair to say the director found himself back on form with 'The Visit'. Well worth a watch! 8/10 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/03/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
