H10 Estepona Palace is very well positioned, overlooking the clear blue sea, 5 minutes drive to Estepona port and 10 minutes to the Town centre. If you are a family of five or more you definitely need to hire a car as there are very few 5 seater taxis in Estepona. Buses aren't reliable. You can walk to the port in 20 minutes and the town in 40 minutes.

The hotel's facilities are excellent with lots of activities for all ages, especially around the large pool area. My family loved playing volleyball in the pool at 5pm.

The hotel bedrooms were spacious and thoroughly cleaned every day. Joining the H10 Club also entitles you to a couple of complimentary drinks at the bar. There is also excellent entertainment each evening.

Given that we make daily digital payments, I suggest that the hotel's Management remove the need to pay for the hiring of hotel towels and bikes in cash and accept card payments instead.

Other than this minor point, I would definitely recommend H10 Estepona Palace to my friends and family.

Dear guest, Thank you for choosing to stay with us, for taking time to share your experience and for rating us. We are thrilled to know that you and your family enjoyed an excellent family holiday. We would like to point out that as far as the pool towels are concerned, this is a cash deposit, not a payment. The amount is returned in full when the towels are returned along with the relevant receipt. Nevertheless we have taken note of your suggestion and will keep this in mind when looking to further improve our services. Please know that it has been a pleasure to have you with us. We thank you for your recommendation and look forward to welcome you again soon. With kind regards on behalf of the whole H10 Estepona Palace team.

We booked the H10 Estepona in winter for several reasons, partially because of the H10 reputation and because it has an outdoor heated pool, and we like to swim regularly. The hotel is four stars and our room was very nice, with a good sea view, and the heating worked well when needed. However there are no kettles in the standard rooms and the hotel charge five Euros a day to hire one. For us that would have been a charge of one hundred and forty Euros, so we bought a kettle for twenty Euros. With H10 group you get no extras without paying, even the room safe cost sixty Euros. Also the only English tv channels are all news, by far the worst in room tv we have ever come across. Generally it is nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay there. In the restaurant the staff were brilliant (in truth most of the staff are lovely) and the food four star. The entertainment was good and we really enjoyed the Saturday night flamenco. Unfortunately, the hotels wants guest there in winter but makes little concession to it, with the restaurant cold and draftee, and any idea of enjoyable swimming a joke. When we booked this holiday we had visions of swimming every day, but the ‘heated ’pool was a waste of time. Few ventured in and NO ONE stayed in longer than a few moments. Yes it was warmer than the unheated pool but only just. The pool is a fun type pool so you cannot even swim hard to warm up. How the management think guests with children can enjoy that pool is beyond me. We asked reception about the pool heat and their response was ‘not many guest use the pool in January’. I wonder why? This is not a cheap holiday and I think given the price of H10 the advertised heated pool should be comfortable to swim in and there should be some English tv.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing us for your stay, for taking time to share your experience and for rating us. We are very happy to hear that you liked your room with sea views, enjoyed the food and found our staff, in particular the restaurant staff, to be brilliant. On the other hand we regret that the pools did not meet with your expectations. One of the outside pools is heated in winter time to 24/25ºC. Pictures of the pools can be seen on our webpage. There are 10 TV channels in English, most being news channels. Nonetheless we have taken note of your opinion and will keep this in mind for any future updates or changes. Please know that it has been a pleasure to have you with us and we would be delighted to welcome you again upon your next visit to Estepona. My wife and I have just returned from a 6 night break at this hotel and we really enjoyed ourselves. Situated about 15/20 mins walk from Estepona Marina in the pleasant Beverly Hills area the Palace sits right on the main coast road that follows the Costa del Sol. First impressions were very good with a large and well lit reception area. An opulent blue carpeted staircase leads down to the 1st floor where the restaurant and pools are located. The reception area itself was spotless and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were given a glass of cava upon arrival which was a nice touch. Our room [541] was on the 5th floor right in the centre of the hotel looking out over the pool area and the sea towards Gibraltar. Our balcony was large enough for a relaxing evening drink and the warm sunny weather helped a lot!
The super king size bed was very comfortable and we were provide with plenty of soft pillows. The a/c was easily controlled and didn't need altering during our stay The TV was fine and Sky News was available so that kept me happy. The quality of the furniture in the room was good [there was a drop down sofa and a comfy arm chair. A fridge was provided FOC. Regarding food we went for the H/B option which turned out to be a good choice. The breakfast's were very good with a large choice of options. Dinner [Buffet style] was also of a good standard with a large selection of options. A grille was also running at breakfast and dinner and the service excellent.

Stayed at the H10 Estepona Palace from 09/10/21 - 16/10/21 with the Privilege package and enjoyed our stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful no matter where you encountered them in the hotel or pool area. We had a 6th floor room overlooking the bay which was such a lovely view. The bedroom and bathroom had all the usual stuff, however the TV had a disappointing range of english speaking channels. The radio could not be accessed via the TV even though this is advertised on the hotel website. I asked at reception but was told it couldn't be done which was surprising.

The public areas were large and well maintained and there was entertainment every evening which we enjoyed.

The pool area was large with many sunbeds and no rush to put towels out in the early morning. The beach was across the walkway at the rear of the hotel and all the sunbeds were for hotel guests at no extra charge.

The restaurant was large, much too bright and a bit school dinners. Dinner choice was limited and food generally cool, there is a microwave. Disappointed on the last evening there were no cakes on dessert table.

The Marina is a 25 minute walk away with the market around it each Sunday. The L1 bus which you can get outside the hotel to the left towards the petrol station will take you all around Estepona in a circle and bring you right back to where you got on for just over 1 Euro, well worth it. It was running on the hour while we were there.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and it was very relaxing.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing to stay with us, for taking time to share your experience and for rating us. We are very happy to know that you liked your Privilege room on the upper floor of the hotel, with its lovely views over the Mediterranean Sea and that overall you had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Being in a Privilege room you have an Ipod docking station on the night table which also acts as a radio. So the radio is not actually on the TV, however we thank you for the pointer and will look into this option. Sorry that there were no cakes on the dessert buffet on your last evening. As you may have noticed the menu changes every day to allow for more variety. Also, in order to give our guests more options, we have been hosting two special dinners every week, prior reservation, in our Thalassa Restaurant. The temperature of the dishes is checked regularly to comply with current health and safety regulations. Nevertheless we of course take note of your impression and will keep it in mind for the future, in our effort to continuously improve our services. Please know that it has been a pleasure to have you with us. We thank you for your recommendation and hope to be able to welcome you again soon to this beautiful part of the world. Until then, please stay safe. With kind regards on behalf of the whole H10 Estepona Palace team.

The hotel is in a good location, right on the beach and promenade, close to Estepona marina. Rooms are adequate, spacious enough, could do with some nicer furnitur. Bathrooms are fine but lacking luxury.
Cleaning services was good, staff friendly. The view was really lovely, overlooking the hotel grounds and the sea. Beautiful.
Parking at the hotel is very bad, hardly any spaces, a tight squeeze. You can use the underground car park but will be charged €10 per night. Quite steep. The gardens and pool are nicely kept, life guards always on duty, you can also take the few steps down to the beach and use the hotel's sunbeds.
It was fairly quite, busier on the weekends, due to off season and Covid.
Hotel shop wasn't open. (probably because of reasons mentioned before)
Breakfast was ok, some fruits, bread, warm dishes.
Only had dinner here once. Very very mediocre, not a great choice neither was it very tasty.
Overall ok stay but had better.

It was a girls weekend to rest. We opted for all inclusive. Drinks, soft and alcohol drinks, coffees, teas etc, water all day. Food all day also as the buffet restaurant closed and cafeteria opened etc. I think it had some teething problems I suppose after Covid. The room cards kept on not working and we had to go to reception to be fixed a few times. They even send a handyman to check our lock.
You could borrow towels for 15 euros deposit, safe 4 euros, underground parking 15 euros per day.
Cleanliness for Covid I would say so so. Staff were all wearing masks. Clients had to wear masks while walking through the hotel or walking around the pool. Pool closed with a chain around it at a certain time in the evening, so making sure nobody got in I suppose without the life guard.
Entertainment in the evening which was good considering it was low season.
Cocktails in bar after 7 pm I think.
Room basic they provided two toiletries but clean.
Gym free, Spa 15 euros per person, no children allowed.
I have to say, lifeguards kept on disinfecting around the pool. But I did not see them disinfect the loungers (tumbonas, hamacas) and certainly did not see anyone clean the floors around the pool, there was a small dead bird for the 3 days we were there!
Cleanliness in cafeteria depending on the waiter, some disinfected some did not. Some waiters were nice others also were not.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing us for your stay, for taking time to share your experience and for rating us. We are happy to know that overall you enjoyed your stay with us and spent a pleasant weekend. Indeed, towels can be borrowed against a deposit of 15 Euros for which our guests get a receipt. The deposit is returned when the towels are returned along with the corresponding receipt. Safety deposit boxes are for rental. They cost 2,40 Euros per day. As for the keycards, these are magnetic. We kindly remind our guests not to keep the key cards next to electronic devices, such as mobile telephones for example, as this demagnetizes the keys which as a consequence will no longer work. Nevertheless, should this happen anyway, we are happy to recode them at our reception. The Spa is available for anyone aged 16 and above. Normal entry for our in-house guests is 22 Euros. Currently there is a special offer of 15 Euros. Loungers are disinfected early in the morning and the floor cleaned. We are sorry that our staff did not see the dead bird in the garden around the pool area, and regret that you did not tell us whils you were here, so that we could have dealt with it immediately. We do take Covid-19 measures very seriously and kindly ask that our guests do too, in order to finish this worldwide pandemic as soon as possible. We thank you for your information and have already informed the relevant departments so that they inform their teams and make sure tables are disinfected each and every time. Please know that for us it has been a pleasure to have you with us and we would be delighted to welcome you again soon. With kind regards on behalf of the whole H10 Estepona Palace team.

I decided to treat my wife and myself to a four-star hotel in Estepona for a well-earned two week break after one and half years in the Covid crises. on the website this hotel looked really lovely, we requested a double room with sea view when we booked in July 2021, we arrived on the 23rd August lunchtime, we went to our room it was small but clean, furniture was looking a little tired, first we went for lunch in the hotel restaurant, there was a good selection of hot and cold food, staff were pleasant but expensive for a buffet lunch.
We then decided to walk around the pool and beach area, we where shocked to see how close the sun loungers where beside each other (No social distancing) the pool area was too small for the amount people there. But worse than that we were disgusted at how dirty the sun loungers were and also areas around the pool.
We went onto the beach behind the hotel where there were sun loungers and umbrellas for use only by the hotel guests, they too were disgusting, in our opinion this dirt had been there not days not week but months, a power washer once a week would keep then clean from dirt and possible germs.
When we complained we were told Maybe they got dirty from the night before!!!
We decided we could not enjoy a two weeks holiday in this hotel and requested our money be returned.
It took three days with many discussions before they finally agreed to refund us but was only after we threatened to take legal action, but I had to sign a document stating I would not sue then in the future.
This is not a four-star hotel and definitely not a Palace, we would grade this hotel a two star.
PS. During are time there we took many pictures as proof

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing to stay with us, for taking time to share your experience and for rating us. We have to say that we are very disappointed to see this review in this manner. You asked for a full refund of your reservation, threatening legal action straight from the beginning. This alone we find very sad, as we do believe that one can usually reach an understanding when clarifying any issues. However, we do want our guests to be happy with us, and very much regret that in your case we did not manage to achieve this. You had a non-refundable reservation, made through a third party, with a tariff for a long stay. When a reservation is made through a tour operator or travel agency, any changes or cancelations need to go through the same channel. In this instance various hurdles had to be overcome, a non-refundable rate and a change of rate to short stay, all of which had to go through a third party and obviously required a little time. You are making it look as if we were thoroughly unhelpful until threatened, when in reality we tried to help from the very beginning and went through a lot of trouble to get this sorted for you, enabling a full refund for the entire remainder of your stay. The document you signed is essentially a receipt. Rest assured, that if this is the kind of response we get, in future we will not go through all the trouble and simply abide by the contract entered when the reservation is made. The pool area has been studied in depth when the hygiene and safety protocol has been set up. The amount of sun loungers we are allowed to put in the area has varied depending on the evolution of the current pandemic. The provision of sun loungers is done every morning, maintaining the current safety distance and abiding by the current regulations. This summer we have also enabled an area on the second floor terrace, where to date there has always been plenty of availability and space. All loungers are cleaned frequently, however the night before there had been a little rain, just enough to make everything look dirty. Also, the tractor that passes each day to maintain the beach raises quite a bit of dust, which does not exactly help as far as the sun loungers are concerned. We take the opportunity to inform that the sun loungers on the beach are tied to the sun shades to prevent guests from moving them and violating the safety distance established by the authorities. As for the sun lounger that had the cloth ripped just where the hinges are, we regret that we did not see this in time and this has obviously been replaced. As for size of the room, your reservation was for a standard room, which comes with standard furniture and equipment. This is the cheapest category room that one can book in our hotel, therefore obviously is also the smallest. Nevertheless we are glad that you appreciated its cleanliness. We are also happy that you liked the selection of hot and cold food in our buffet restaurant and that you found our staff to be pleasant. We thank you very much for your visit and wish you well. With kind regards on behalf of the whole H10 Estepona Palace team.

This is a fantastically, professionally run hotel. What a find on our 1st visit to Estepona.
The staff throughout the hotel are so focussed on ensuring your happiness for a great holiday.
Our room was amazing and we loved the space and fittings. The best room we've ever had in over 18 years travelling in Spain & its islands.
We stayed HB and loved the choice on offer at mealtmealtimes. The option to dine á la carte was a special touch and we booked both nights during our week.
Activities were varied and we enjoyed the Spanish lessons with Jaime and Victor. Such patient, fun and engaging guys - muchas gracias😊
The pool area was relaxing and the beach sunbeds are a special extra.
Only a small pool was open and the large one doesn't open until Easter which was a shame.
Nightly entertainment was varied and we enjoyed most acts. Sadly Friday's act was so loud we and others left as the music drowned out any attempt at conversation.
Good location with local buses nearby. No shops or bars within walking distance which was unfortunate as we usually have an evening walk on other holidays.
We tried some of the cocktails but didn't detect any taste of alcohol. Not sure if they are pre-mixed as bar staff disappear out the back to make them. I paid €10 for a gin & mixer which shocked me!
We asked about upgrading to AI but declined as we were informed it would have been an extra €70 per day. We didn't feel that was justified.
We love H10 hotels and this is another we would return to at some time.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing us for your stay, for taking time to share your experience and for rating us. We are very happy to hear that you liked your room, enjoyed the food, found our staff to be friendly and helpful at all times and in general had a lovely holiday. We would like to add that the special dinners are set meals and require prior reservation at our customer service desk. In winter one of our outside pools is heated, which is the one that you found open. Should you wish to take a dip in the unheated pool, please let the pool staff know and they will be happy to open it for you. We sincerely apologise if the music on the Friday evening was too loud and are glad you found a place to chat in one of the many seating areas around the hotel. Next time, please let us know. It is difficult to criticise somewhere where the staff are so kind and pleasant and working so hard. The best aspects of this hotel for us (myself and my partner) were the people working there, the food and the drink. I read other reviews that said the food choice was quite repetitive, and maybe if we had stayed for longer then we may have felt that too, but there was no feeling like that creeping in for us in the week we have just spent there. A lovely surprise was that many of the all-inclusive drinks were premium branded rather than just the cheapest house brands. The cocktails also were fantastic – and strong!

Unfortunately, beyond this it really didn’t feel 4-star. There is a really lovely lobby area with grand stairs leading down to the restaurants and pool, and that gives a great first impression, but scratch the surface and this is quickly eclipsed by the care the place needs to receive. There is a layer of mould around the edge of the pool which has discoloured the tiles that aren’t under the chlorinated waterline, there are cracks around the exterior of the building that would otherwise look so lovely. It all just needs a clean and a refurb in certain areas. Our room was a nice size to say it was a standard double, but the beds felt a bit flimsy and lightweight, and they moved around a lot when sitting on them or turning over in the night. The bathroom was equipped with all you’d need, plus full size wall mounted shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and body milk which all smelt lovely. The shower was fine but it was over the bath which feels a bit dated, and the bottom of the shower screen fell off each day – it again just needs an update and a bit of money spent on it.

The sunbeds at poolside were of a great quality, but the ones on the beach were cheap and disgustingly dirty and we would not have laid on them if you’d paid me – not that we spent anytime sunbathing on the beach. We understood it to be sandy, but it’s more of a muddy gravel and just wasn’t pleasant and didn’t feel clean. The hotel doesn’t own this public beach so this is not their issue, but it is the beachfront to the hotel and there weren’t any sections of this beach to move along to that looked any better, so time spent on the sand and in the sea was quickly ruled out as being something we would be doing in our week’s stay.

On the upside, the entertainment each evening has been enjoyable, and the paella and sangria demonstrations held on two of the days were great fun and tasted amazing. The hotel were also very accommodating in supplying us with a big and varied take away picnic for breakfast as we were checking out very early.

Overall, we have had a nice week but it didn’t feel enjoyable enough to justify the £2100 we spent on being there and it’s not somewhere we will be going back to, which is a shame as the staff who work there – those you see and those you don’t – are all clearly doing an excellent job and work very hard.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing to stay with us, for taking time to share your experience and for rating us. Our team does indeed work hard to ensure that our guests have a pleasant and enjoyable experience, and to have this reckognised is very gratifying. We are delighted to know that the room, food and drinks have been up to your expectation and that you had a fun time making paella with our animation team. As you mentioned, the pebble beach in front of the hotel is public property and we don’t have any authority over it. We are sorry if it was not what you had imagined and, for those who are looking for a sandier beach, we can recommend the so-called “Playa del Cristo”, which is about 600m from the hotel. Our hotel offers rooms with shower and others with a bath tub. In case you have a personal preference, please let us know at the time of booking and, depending on availability, we will do our utmost to try and fulfil your request. Nevertheless we inform you that refurbishments are ongoing and of course we will take your opinion into account, in our constant effort to improve our facilities and service. Please know that it has been a pleasure to have you with us. We thank you very much for your visit and would love to welcome you again sometime. With kind regards from the entire H10 Estepona Palace team.

Our Saga holiday at Estepona Palace was all inclusive. Excellent food, free bar and a free shuttle bus to Gibraltar one week and to Marbella the next. Excellent rep, resident in the hotel, so always on hand. We were aware of the Sage Privilege package and we spoke to people who had booked it, but none of us thought it was worth the extra money. We flew out on BA from Gatwick as part of the package. I am sorry but I don’t know anything about Jet 2 but we were very impressed with Saga and the hotel and we would certainly use them again.

Safe is included in Privilege rooms, Ocean junior Suites and Junior Suites. In all other room categories this is for rental at currently 2,40€ per day. Pool towels are available from reception against a deposit of 15€ per towel, for which you get a receipt. You may change them in the pool area for clean ones every day. The deposit is returned in full when the towels are returned at the end of your stay, along with the receipt.
