RE- Revival of this sub

Discussion

Hello my dear kannis, this post is about the future of this sub. ( Fully English post since our sub has members that do not speak Tamil and I also want to cater to them as well)

Recently there has been a burnout due to lack of content. Actual, proper content that used to be there 5-6 months ago.

Understandably, there haven't been large cine releases in the last month. But this has resulted in a void of karma farming content. ( no offense, but it is what it is)

But there is one way to restore it back and that is to expand our base.

See, currently most posts are related to Tamil cinema.

Which is obvious, since this is Kolly sub, but there aren't discussions about non popular Tamil Movies.

We keep talking about the same Leo, Jailer, Vikram, Soorarai Pottru, Thunivu etc and it has become stale.

So the first point here is

  1. Expand the topics. I know quite a chunk of members of ours are in the Tollywood sub. And other regional cinema subs as well.

So why not expand ? Not just Indian, we could even talk about International cinema.

It would be a fresh face for us and would allow more people to talk about it in this sub. It would also allow us to become more objective.

It need not happen all the days. We could fix 3 or 4 days a week for these discussions and the remaining days would be allocated primarily to Kollywood movie discussions.

2. More Humour posts.

I love shitposts and Humour posts, but there aren't many out there. Increase them

3.Behind the scenes from Industry guys.

Not gossip posts, but rather technical breakdowns as well as funny anecdotes from movie sets. There are a few VFX artists as well as VisCom students here. So friends, please do contribute.

4. Softcore posts. This is a unpopular opinion, but I think they are fine, as long as it doesn't go too far as to pretty much make an actor or actress a sex object.

We should also learn to be open minded about it. There is absolutely nothing wrong in talking about sex or stuff.

Just make sure y'all don't go all in and do navel comparison or fucked up shit like that.

AFAIK these are my two cents on the revival ideas for this sub.

Drop down what you think can be done for getting thia sub back to form.

Just wait for Vettayan, Indian 2, GOAT, VM, Thangalaan to start dropping teaser trailers, singles. The sub will revive itself automatically. This kinda lull period is quite common.
