With so many prophetic voices speaking so many different futures for the United States, I would like to offer a sharp sword, which is able to separate lies from truth and soul from spirit. It is the word of God.
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
A lying spirit of antichrist is sweeping across our land telling us we can have the blessings of God without meeting any of God’s requirements. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way, not even if a politician said so and not even if a preacher said so. The blessings of God are always conditional upon meeting His requirements. They are never automatic and there is never any substitute. For example, we are not saved because our parents are saved, or because we go to church, or because we were born in the United States, or because of anything besides doing what God says we must do to be saved, which is shown here:
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
The promise of salvation is just one example, but the same principle applies to every promise from God. This is not to say God does not want to bless us because He very much does, which is why He made a way for us to receive His blessings and showed us the way through the words of the Bible, the words of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not His will for anyone to perish, but He wants everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), yet many perish because they fail to qualify by doing what He requires us to do.
And what does God require? In scripture after scripture, testimony after testimony, and parable after parable, He tells us the same requirement over and over again. John the Baptist preached it:
1 Now in those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying,
2 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:1-2)
Then after him, Jesus came preaching the same message:
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)
Throughout the scriptures, Jesus preached repentance from His first message to His last when He appeared to John in a vision with warnings for the seven churches (Revelation 2:5, 2:16, 2:21-22, 3:3, 3:19). He clearly identified repentance as the requirement for entering into the kingdom of heaven, the requirement for eternal life, and the only way to avoid eternal death.
This same message was preached by everyone who followed after Jesus, including Peter:
Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)
The Apostle Paul proclaimed the same message:
For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death. (2 Corinthians 7:10)
This sounds so simple, but somewhere along the way many have forgotten it, which is why I took the time to document these scriptures.
Here is an example of the confusion now permeating our land. I received an email a few weeks ago saying, “I don’t know why anyone should pray the sinner’s prayer. I have prayed it many times, but my life has never changed.”
That is like saying I signed up for Weight Watchers and I paid my membership fee, but I never lost any weight! Weight Watchers does not promise anyone will lose weight just by signing up. They have a detailed plan they expect people to follow if they want to see results. That sounds so obvious, but it shows how confused our thinking has become. We would never expect automatic results from Weight Watchers, but for some reason we keep expecting automatic results from God.
The spirit of antichrist is sweeping across our land, led by the man of lawlessness who now occupies the most powerful office in the world. The prophet Daniel warned us, “With smooth words, he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and will take action.” (Daniel 11:32)
No political party will be able to stand against this spirit. It is not good enough to be conservative, or patriotic, or moral, or even religious. The only people who will be able to stand against this spirit are those who know their God. They will stand because their roots tap into a different source, not of this world. The spirit of God in them will cause them to find strength and take action against this evil spirit.
Smooth words promise blessings without any need for repentance. This message always comes to us in very deceptive ways, which is why it is called smooth. It sounds right. It can even include scriptures and sometimes is announced as a direct word from God, but if we examine it closely we find it contradicts the Bible by saying, “No need to get right with God because we can have all the goodies without any of the mess. We can do it our way, whatever we want, whatever seems right to us, without any need to submit ourselves in obedience to God. Yes sir, the future is very bright!”
This is a popular message because it appeals to our carnal sinful nature. We like hearing we can do it our way because our carnal nature does not want to submit to God. This spirit of antichrist has not only swept across our land, but also into the pulpits of many churches. The war against sin has become a war against repentance. Sinful lifestyles are now tolerated and even embraced in many churches. A new gospel of grace, grace, and more grace has replaced the message of repentance. They claim we are made righteous by faith alone, without the need for corresponding actions, but it is a message sent from hell. It is another gospel.
According to Jesus, trusting in the grace of God alone is not good enough because He said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” (Matthew 5:6) He instructed us to “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33) Why would we need to hunger and thirst for right standing with God if we already have it automatically? Why would we need to seek first the righteousness of God if we already have it?
John spelled out the answer very bluntly:
By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. (1 John 2:2)
According to John, anyone who does not obey His commandments does not even know Him, the truth is not in them, and they are liars. I thank God for His grace when we miss the mark, but anyone who takes His grace for granted without repentance is in great danger.
John added, “everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him” (1 John 2:29), which means those who do not PRACTICE righteousness are not born of Him. Jesus confirmed this when He said, “You are My friends if you do what I command you.” (John 15:14)
Repentance and walking uprightly before God are requirements for receiving the blessings of God. There is no way around it. There are no blessings without it. Anyone claiming everything is going to be wonderful without any mention of repentance or righteousness is a liar, no matter what their name is and no matter how many Christians follow them.
Anyone can talk a good talk, but God requires us to walk the walk, in the same manner as He walked. He expects us to keep His commandments. He expects us to seek righteousness above everything else, which means daily repentance from our sins and daily encounters with God to make sure we are right with Him. Healthy people have appetites and they get hungry. Sick people lose their appetites so they are not hungry. Healthy Christians hunger and thirst to be right with God in every area of their life. Anyone who lacks that hunger is spiritually sick. Our hunger pains should drive us into our prayer room daily for relief. Getting right with Him is the only thing that can satisfy our hunger. Jesus said anyone who practices this lifestyle will be blessed and satisfied.
These things are not complicated. God’s word keeps everything simple and easy to understand. We actually need help getting confused because the Bible is so clear. Yet, along comes a symphony of prophetic voices saying America is going to become great again because we are going to elect the right person to be our President and millions of Christians say a loud Amen! Many of our most famous leaders have already jumped on the bandwagon giving their blessings, their endorsements, and their financial support.
Following their leaders, many Christians are embracing the smooth words of the antichrist spirit, unaware they are being led to godlessness because the lies produce false hope and false hope produces disappointment, which can shipwreck their faith and turn them away from God. It is far better to catch the lies from the start, and we can do that by knowing God and His requirements.
Some are even rebuking other believers for refusing to join them, accusing them of lacking discernment, being immature, and full of anger. Some even refer to the message of repentance as “gloom and doom.” The church is now rebuking people for believing the message of the Bible! No wonder the judgment of God is coming upon us. We are spiritual midgets parading ourselves as spiritual giants.
Electing a new President does not meet God’s requirement for blessing our nation. Please find that in the Bible because I cannot find it anywhere. Claiming to have received a powerful word from God does not make it true either. The only plumb line is the Bible and it calls for repentance and righteousness. We should always be on guard against any smooth promises that omit those requirements.
King Solomon gave us the key when he wrote, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Proverbs 14:34). He was not confused because his words are confirmed by many witnesses throughout the Bible. It is us, the modern day church in America, who has become confused.
The following prophetic message for America was sent to me by email. It claims to be a word from God, but I believe it is a great example of the spirit of antichrist sweeping through our land because it promises all of the blessings on America without a single mention of any requirement for repentance or righteousness.
A WORD FOR AMERICA!
This afternoon I heard these words!
“Listen my beloved America, watch for now the sickle of triumph will be used to reap the harvest of the seeds you have sown in the past seasons,” says God.
Now as I heard these words this afternoon, I was taken into an incredible spirit encounter where I saw an open heaven over the Nation of America and then I saw a sharp sickle in the hand of God coming down upon a large field that was ready to be Harvested. Now as I looked at the sickle I saw the word “TRIUMPH” deeply engraved upon it, and then again I heard a voice saying, “America I have appointed a harvest for you, in this season I shall restore the fortunes of my people and I shall bring them out of captivity, for my beloved America you shall not be cut off, but that which you have sown you shall now reap the harvest with great joy!”
America, I saw the face of your future president on the sharp, serrated and curved blade of the sickle in God’s hand!!”
Now again my eyes were drawn to the word “TRIUMPH” that was engraved upon the sharp sickle, and by divine revelation I saw and understood that God was showing me the “Anointing” and the “Mantle”, that is going to be upon of the future President of the American people. I was shown the face of a man which was reflected upon the sharp, serrated and curved edge of the steel blade. Now I watched as the hand of God held the sharp sickle called “TRIUMPH”, I watched closely as His hand moved upon the grain cutting it with great precision and great accuracy. Then suddenly I saw many Angels descending upon the field where they began to gather up the Harvest, as I stood watching suddenly an Angel appeared in front on me and written in gold upon his chest was the number (126).
Immediately it was quickened to me Psalms 126 which says, “It seemed like a dream, too good to be true, when God returned Zion’s exiles. We laughed, we sang, we couldn’t believe our good fortune. We were the talk of the nations, “God was wonderful to them!” God was wonderful to us; we are one happy people. And now, God, do it again bring rains to our drought-stricken lives. So those who planted their crops in despair will shout hurrahs at the harvest, so those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing!
America hear the word of the Lord, I prophecy there is a harvest that has been appointed for you as a nation, for the seeds you have sown in tears you shall now reap in joy. Watch for now the sharp sickle called “triumph” comes to reap the harvest of that which you have sown. I prophecy your future president shall carry the mantle that shall make America great once again to the glory of god, nations shall be drawn to the brightness of your rising, many will say, “it is like dream too good to be true!” America you shall turn and return to your first love and you shall become a launching pad among the nations of the earth for the greatest outpouring of signs, wonders and miracles.”
This word claims the seeds we have sown in tears will now be reaped in joy. What tears have we sown? If there is any voice of repentance in our land, it is so faint it cannot be heard. If there are any tears sown in our land, they are hidden. Meanwhile, sin has permeated our land. Political correctness has infiltrated our pulpits. This word makes no mention of repentance in our past, present, or future, and no mention of righteousness, but break out the party hats because happy days are here!
This word contradicts the Bible, which is why I believe it is a false prophecy, not a word from God. I present it here as an example of the powerful delusion attempting to indoctrinate us and lead us into godlessness. I believe this is what Jesus warned us about when He said, “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many” (Matthew 24:11). He was referring to the time of the end, which is here now.
Think about the absurdity of this claim. We are not in danger of losing our country. We already lost it years ago! Ever since the 2008 collapse of the housing market, the Federal Reserve has been the only game in town. They now control and manipulate every market in the United States including the stock market, currency market, metals market, bond market, and housing market. Every investor knows this is true and every financial news report bears it out. Today, investors no longer care about real market factors like earnings and jobs because the only thing that matters is what will the Fed say about it. Have we become so foolish that we now believe they are going to politely give it all back because the American people elect a new President? No chance!
In the political realm, the spirit of antichrist now controls the White House. This spirit has spread its’ evil tentacles into every area of our culture. Are these spiritual powers going to politely give our nation back because we elect a new President? No chance!
Our spiritual blindness has led us into a deep hole that only God can deliver us from. No new President can lead us out. The only way to get our nation back now is to take it by force, and the only force that will succeed is the power of God Almighty, and the only way He will release His power to fight in our behalf is if we get right with Him, and the only way to do that is to repent from our sins! And that is never going to happen if the church remains silent, refusing to even mention it!
We are not fighting a battle between liberals and conservatives or Republicans and Democrats. All of that is a sham and a charade for our entertainment and deception. This battle is between the spirit of antichrist and the spirit of Christ. Fighting a spiritual battle with natural human strength is a formula for certain defeat. This battle must be fought with spiritual weapons, which include praise, worship, the shield of faith, the sword of God’s word, and our feet standing firmly on His promises. These are the weapons that will bring victory!
As the prophet Daniel said, a remnant of people who know their God will stand strong against this lying spirit and will take action (to expose it and overcome it). That is the purpose for this article. This is not an endorsement or a rejection for any political candidate. It is simply a warning that the misguided hope displayed by many Christians today should be a great concern to all of us. We are being led to godlessness and it is time to turn around!

James Bailey: your website has always interested me. There have been so many dream, interpretation of those dreams on this website that conflict each other. What is truth ? I am not sure it can be found on this website.

Brilliantly written TRUTH. Amen & Amen. I believe that NOT being deceived will be of the absolute utmost importance in these insanely evil days. Stay close to HIM and HIS WORD. Thank you, James, for all you do. This site has revealed amazing truth to me and has really encouraged a closer understanding of the intense spiritual battle we are facing. God bless and protect you always!

Thanks Jen!

Another on point article, James. You are so right about that prophetic word. It bore no witness in my spirit but anyone with a modicum of discernment can see that is not from the Spirit of Christ. Repentance is key and until America repents, this country will continue its downslide into hell.
John K says
Brethren, it is written, despise not prophesyings.
Allow me to illustrate a slightly divergent opinion, not on the entire article, but restricting myself to ‘prophecy for America’ portion. (Playing the devil’s advocate euphemism)
First and foremost, that prophecy was sent to James inbox for his perusal and consideration. (And it wasn’t from me in case you wonder)
The key word in that prophecy is ‘triumph’, that the time for God’s people both in America as well as elsewhere to triumph is high at hand. Is not that consistent with the year of Jubilee, of which it is suggested we are within?
‘The sickle of triumph will be used to reap the harvest of the seeds you have down in past seasons’ In that statement, it has not been suggested that America has been planting only good seeds, but rather, whatsoever seed one has planted, they shall reap of the same, for after all, God is not mocked.
Grant God, in this alluded prophecy for America, false or not, a sense of sarcasm. For reaping time is joy time. Its after all the events towards which one sows and toils. Hence, whoever has sowed in tears and in truth (Elijah thought he had been all alone) shall indeed reap in joy. Why then, but shouldn’t everyone else reap their handiwork as joyously. The wicked should smile all the way to the gates of hell too, as the saints do in their glorification.
I also noted this on the president to become of the USA, that this prophecy saw his face on the ‘curved serrated sickle in God’s hand’ that bore the name triumph. Is this not euphemism for a time of trial that comes with this presidential electioneering period? The prophecy does not identify anyone as that face, for probably its none of the hitherto known contenders. It could be the face of one who then God will appoint over America, and not through their perversion of an election. It suggest it will then be one tried and proven in through fiery trials of faith.
From my comprehension of this prophecy as its been presented, I have not observed diversion of it from the spirit and letter of what’s to be expected of judgement time. We however understand and visualize matters diversely and perhaps to others this prophecy has been understood as James has elaborated.
Our (mis)comprehension of a word does not render it false nor true.
Also let’s empathise with the souls who believe this was God’s word through them, perhaps genuinely, as we all do most times.
Despise not prophesyings, but rather prove all things.
James Bailey says
Thanks John. I agree we are not to despise prophecy, but also read the rest of the sentence, which tells us to test everything. I believe this one failed the test.
20 Do not despise the words of prophets,
21 but test everything; hold fast to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21)
John K says
Thanks James. Indeed we require to oriive all things. What actually I encountered amiss on that prophecy, was its borrowing of Trumps campaign phrase ‘make America great again’ like God would need to borrow words from campaign strategists. But otherwise I try not to imply any more or less what a word states.

When we say “I worked all night but my efforts were in vain.” What do we mean? We mean there was no return for our labor.
When we say “You shall not take the name of YHWH in vain.” What does it mean? The church has been bamboozled into thinking it means don’t use Gods name as a swear word. That’s called blasphemy and we should not enrage init either.
But When in the English language does “take” and “speak” ever mean the same thing? In Hebrew “nasa” is the word “take”- it does not mean speak it means to lift out of. (We have a ‘nasa’ that lifts things out of earth, a good way to remember)
The idea of cmdt 3 is that here is a group of people taking the name of YHWH to themselves as a bride takes a husband’s name. Taking it in vain means that there is no fruit, no life change.
When we take the name Jesus we say “I belong to Him”. Yet if we live the same crummy self centered lives as the rest of the world is that not taking His name in vain? When we claim the blessing of God and do not live lives of obedience, when we do not follow Jesus as Lord, will God leave us unpunished? Not according to cmdt 3.
With this in mind, we see that Jesus actually taught on the 3rd commandment more then my other one. Think of what happens to the unfruitful trees. What happens to the branches that bear no fruit? The ones who claim to belong to Gods family but so not do what the father does.
Believers when we bear the fruit of the spirit – love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self control – we get to show the world what THEY can expect from God.
When we take His name and bear no fruit or bad fruit, we take his name in vain. They eat the fruit of the ‘Christian’ (which means little Christ) tree and spit it out.
The Lord will not leave people guiltless who treat him like a flu shot – thanks for saving me from the flu, now I no longer have to think about it. Instead, lets walk in the Spirit minute by minute and let’s bear fruit, showing the world what taking the name of God does.

Hi James, I’ve heard Rick Joyner talk about martial law that is coming, but he points out that it is really important who the “martial” is when it comes. Who would you rather have as the “martial” when economic collapse and other shakings come, Hilary or Trump? To me, the shakings are coming because God wants to wake up the church and lead it to repentance. This is what the Harbinger message has been about. Out of love, God warns us so that we will repent, turn back to Him, and so that He can then extend mercy to us.
But I heard Terry Bennett ask, if you were God, how much shaking do you think it will take to wake us up? Do we need severe shakings AND a severe martial? Or do we need just rough shakings and a martial who God has appointed for this time? To me, that is our choice here. And to me, we should all truly repent of all we can now (like rampant addiction to pornography) so that God can extend His mercy to us.

Hi,
Hope this is humorous to you 🙂
If this offends anyone I do apologize. Personally I think many mega-churches are entertainment centers with tax breaks – sorry.
——————————————
Dear MegaChurch Pastor,
Tired of spending money on “Christian” rock or rap groups visiting your church for high $$ fees ? Tired of gyrating so hard in your service you long for your disco days of the 1970’s ? Tired of doing everything you can to boost attendance, even if it means keeping the Bible in its “closed” position on your pulpit ?
Well here are some tips for you which will
1) increase attendance in your church by 50% the first week it is tried
2) get people (on the rolls of the church) who have not attended your church for 5 years to attend on every Sunday these tips are tried
3) get police to attend your church for FREE, providing free security to your congregation
4) build potentially long-lasting relationships with IRS employees and local prosecutors
5) and most IMPORTANTLY – bring out a MAJORITY OF PAGANS IN YOUR TOWN (if your church is in a smaller town) or (if your church is in a larger city) bring out a LOADS OF PAGANS to attend your church on Sundays this is tried.
—————————————————————————————————-
1) Put a polygraph machine within close proximity to the pulpit.
2) Hook the polygraph machine to be able display results (live streaming over the Internet to your web and mobile apps) as well as the “Question” being asked – also via overhead projector(s) in the church
3) make a personal “face cam” (with audio) available which will live-stream the facial expressions of those who are answering the questions, so if the face turns red, starts sweating profusely, or changes expressions or labored breathing based on the question content this is given to the in-person audience and well as live-streamed to mobile devices and desktops all over the world.
4) Hook up a “biofeed” showing pulse rate and blood pressure (with changes of 10% or more noted in FONT that is 200% larger) to your live, world-wide Internet stream to your web and mobile apps, and via the Overhead projector(s) to your in-house church audience.
5) Give a 5 second delay before live-stream so that any “not so nice” words are edited OUT automatically
HERE ARE SOME OF THE QUESTIONS THAT WOULD BE ASKED: This would apply to ALL church leadership (Paid and Unpaid) for the time period of WHEN they first joined the “Leadership” part of the Church) to present.
The ONLY exception for a person NOT answering the question was if they confessed their sin either to a Family Member and/or Friend (Christian) and/or the Church previous to today.
1) Have you used illegal drugs since you Joined Church Leadership? If YES, which ones ? When? Are you currently on drugs? If the nice police officers attending today would offer you a drug test, can you please take it?
2) Have you committed adultery since you Joined Church Leadership? With Who? Times and Dates please (for those who remember – not trying to insult here – not everyone does remember all the time)
3) Have you (as a single person) had sex with someone since you Joined Church Leadership? With Who? Times and Dates please (for those who remember – not trying to insult here – not everyone does remember all the time)
4) Have you cheated on your taxes (local/county/state/federal) since you Joined Church Leadership? How much ? When ?
5) Have you had sex with someone who is under 18 (same-sex or opposite sex) since you Joined Church Leadership? With Who? Times and Dates please?
The next one (6) applies ONLY to laws where the Bible and the Law (as written) are in agreement …
6) Have you knowingly broken any local/county/state/federal laws since you Joined Church Leadership? Which ones ? When ? How many times ?
7) Have you sexually abused or otherwise severely harmed children since you Joined Church Leadership? Who? When? Is this still ongoing?
8) Are you a porn addict ?
9) do you “meet” people for sex online (children and/or teenagers and/or adults)? Do you meet them (then) in person ? Who? Times and dates please?
10) (this applies only to things which happened inside the church building(s) or vehicle(s)) Have you had sex with a person you were not married to?committed any illegal acts where the Bible is in agreement with the law (so you broke the law)?, used/sold/bought illegal drugs ? With who? (if applicable). Time and Dates please?
***THEN ask the same of their spouse***
Any megachurch that does the above will become famous in many cases..
And LAST but not LEAST – a fully-qualified polygraph operator.
Again, I deeply apologize for anyone I offended, however God is going to take a vacuum cleaner to His Church.
Thank you.
God bless you,
Tim

James what an Awesome message! It still amazes me that people are being taught to say a sinner’s prayer and get their get out of hell free card. Romans 12:1-2 (NKJ) is very clear: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. (2) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 1:24-25(NKJ) says, Therefore, God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies, among themselves, who exchanged the truth for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. The church is supposed to be holy, acceptable and set apart from the world, now wallowing in it.

Paul Benson says
James;
In going back over the prophesy ‘a word for America’ this is what I got. That person (I do know the source but the Lord does not lead me to reveal it here) is one of many who are prophesying a return on all the good America has done over the years. Like maybe our good deeds of the past somehow make up for the sins of this generation; or possibly will lessen the severity of God’s dealings with this nation.
Here is what the Word of a God who never changes says:
God does NOT see the U.S.A. as a righteous nation! The current gross sins of this nation have negated and blotted out any righteous deeds of this nation’s past. They are no longer on the books; and those putting forth a vision of hope in God remembering the ‘good seeds’ we planted; and those seeds bringing a great time of blessing, (or even a mitigation of judgment) are promoting a false vision (like that of ‘the firefighter prophesy’ about Trump).
You are absolutely correct in labeling that ‘word for America’ a false prophesy. One of the saddest aspects of deception is that when the deceived begin to broadcast the error they received they now become deceivers themselves. I hope the person which gave this false word finds deliverance from that seducing spirit which spoke those words of error.
In Jesus Name we petition you Father for mercy and deliverance for that soul.
Paul

Excellent point Paul. I wish I had thought of it myself! Thanks for confirming the scriptural reasons why that word is not from God.

Paul can u attach a link to the prophesy you are talking about. The “fire fighter prophesy” I haven’t read it yet.
Paul Benson says
Savedjon;
I lost that link when trunews changed their site format. Sorry; but if you search’ Mark Taylor firefighter prophesy’ you should be able to find text and audio versions. It’s basically a failed 2011 prophesy about the last election saying Trump would oust Obama; which never happened. Read it carefully and you will see he specifically says they will spend enormous amounts of money to keep Obama in but it will fail and Trump will defeat him. Well it did not fail Obama was reelected and the prophesy was not true (Trump never even ran against Obama and never will!).
Amazingly he resurrected the prophesy and now promotes it like he was speaking of this election, which if your read carefully you will see it cannot be. It also carries the same ‘America has done so much good God is going to bless her’ theme like the prophesy James talked about in his post..
Blessings;
Paul
Lee says
Not only did TruNews change their format, but they also don’t have a site “search” option like they used to (which made it easy to find interviews of past guests quite easy, but now impossible) and you don’t have access to their archive back further than May 2016. Maybe I missed something on the site, but I rarely can’t find what I’m looking for on any web sites (unless it has been changed, removed, lost indexes, or hopefully temporary site transition “challenges”).
Like the first time Mark Taylor made his first appearance on TruNews, he claims prophetic events “after the fact”. This time (second interview) it is the 501c3 stuff. The first interview makes claims that he knew, by phophetic revelation, that Trump would be running for president. So where is the proof? Where did he, before the events occurred, make these claims?
And Rick Wiles, while I have great respect for the man, seems to swallow all these “prophetic claims” hook, line and sinker WITHOUT challenging Mark Taylor for the proof.
Paul Benson says
Here is a page that has the text of the prophesy. It’s a pro Trump site, but anyway it has Mark Taylor’s ‘word’ posted of you want to read it.

Thank you James for speaking the truth. We left our last church for this very reason. Never a word on sin or repentance. A lot of sermons on how God wants bless us. I knew that there were people in this church who had sin in their lifes and did not realize it. I last heard this church was having a former clown turned minister as a guest who was going to juggle while he preached.
James Bailey says
I am glad to know you left that church. When our leaders stop following God it is time for us to stop following them.
Donna Potter says
I agree with Ed. This article needs to be read from the majority of churches today. Great word, James. Keep teaching truth!
Richard says
Thanks for the stern warning James, spot on. I too believe that judgment is settled already, but that does not mean that we should already surrender the political arena, from a Christian perspective I believe Trump deserves a fair chance at least it would be clear signal against the complete corrupt elite establishment, which Trump opposes as well.
James Bailey says
There is nothing wrong with hope as long as it is not a false hope, which is what Donald Trump is for many Christians. That does not mean he cannot win or that he cannot be used by God to give us more time, but we should never put our hope in any man to do what only God can do through us if we will only repent and seek Him first.

We have come to this hour of great shaking…so expect both goodness (for repentant overcomers) and severity (for lukewarm believers). The church (of Laodicea) must wake up from its slumber…repent…and come out of its Babylonian captivity…or suffer the severity that is surely coming.

Good Morning Saints… As I read these posts it’s sad that this election is polarizing and causing division in the body of Christ. This seems to happen every four years. Each side asks the other side where is your discernment…and then it gets personal. My brothers it’s ok to disagree but let’s not shape the debate or disagreement in such a way as to mischaracterize what people are saying. I thought the debate and the cause of confusion is NOT about whether Trump is going to magically fix everything. I don’t know anyone who thinks he’s a savior or that America is going to turn back to God the day he gets sworn into office. The debate is on whether Christian’s should vote this election or sit this one out like many Christian’s did in 2012. Many of the polls say that many evangelical Christians didn’t come out to support Romney. [Ultimately that voting deficit is what led to 4 more years of the Muslim administering his “Hope and Change” from the white house. I don’t hear many on this board thinking that TRUMP is a savior or that somehow if TRUMP gets into the White House God is going to withhold His judgment. My brothers as long as we have a will people will individually either choose to accept Jesus or reject him. Not even Jesus was able to turn the Heart of all the Jews in Jerusalem and He wept bitterly about it.
“Matthew 23:37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.”
“2 Chronicles 7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
savedjon says
Opp’s… Sorry I still don’t know how to work the quotes function. 🙂
Tammy says
Savedjon, you made the point very eloquently; I don’t for one second think Trump is our savior but I do think that Hillary and Obama are of the devil and not voting for Trump is by default voting for Hillary.
savedjon says
Thanks Tammy. I’m in total agreement with what you wrote I also respect everyone who decides not to vote. Ultimately the most important thing is for us to position ourselves in alignment with Gods will and go out and preach the Gospel …because the harvest is plentiful and time is running out.
ps…how do I use the “quotation” function on this site. Do you know? lol
James - Lincoln says
I couldn’t agree more Jon – the more we learn about Bush 41 and Bush 43 (and their family business ties) then your write-up carries even more weight. Mr. Trump “appears to be” (but only time will tell if true in deed) authentically very much anti-establishment (both Dem and GOP) and EXACTLY what is needed in the beltway. It’s my belief that an absentee vote is no better than Mr. Obama’s voting record as Senator. Truly, when we’re only presented with 2 choices upon driving upon a 4-way intersection (either hit the gas to deftly speed thru the cross-traffic OR slam the breaks to avoid a collision altogether), there is no option 3 (to just close our eyes and coast thru the intersection). Again just my opinion – but our civic duty is to help select the least bad option and continue to pray for God to save, lead, guide, direct, etc. Thanks for your very astute write-up Jon!

Darrell Sansom says
James, The Lord has been sending Deb and me to certain churches in our area with a message of repentance. Last night He sent us to a place that totally rejected the message of the Lord. They actually got up and walked out of the room and started making motions like they were chasing spirits out of the building. Here is the word the Lord brought forth last night:
How long will I contend with you? How long will you stretch and abuse my grace? When will you turn your faces down and repent. You stand in defiance of me. You say we can do this on our own. You say this and you say that as if you know my plan, but you do not know my plan. I warn you “Do not put your trust in man”. Because that is a snare for you. Don’t say “He can save us, He can change things, He can make things better!” Because he cannot. I have determined this time from long ago. You cannot change my plans. You do not have the power, you do not have the authority to do one thing outside of me. Get on your faces and repent before me. Know that it is a contrite and repentant heart that moves me. Look in my word. Look in my word and you will see that I tell the truth. I have raised up Trump as a Saul before my people. Do not think that he can save you. He does not know Me! And I do not know him! Even as my children cried out for a king, I warned them, I warned them. They made their choice. You must begin to prepare! You must begin to prepare! Do not wait til the flood hits your feet, but prepare. Prepare in My name. Prepare in My name. Prepare in My name.
I found it interesting that the Lord stated that Trump does not know Him and that He does not know Trump – considering the stories going around right now that Trump is a new Christian. The Lord revealed to us a few days ago that when he said He would use Trump to reveal much that is wasn’t about politics like we first thought but it was to reveal much about Christians, about the church, about the body of Christ. To show how quickly they will run to a man to save them instead of their God. It was a test and many are failing.
James Bailey says
Thanks for sharing this great word Darrell! I like your explanation of how God is using Trump to expose how far Christians have strayed from God, which is not to Trump’s credit, but to God’s.
Jim Deason says
Best word that I have read on this site! I do not even know if the majority of the American church even realizes what TRUE repentance is! It is turning back to Listening to the Voice and Word of the Living God and Obeying! Not electing “godly” politicians and changing laws. It is a matter of the heart that returns to God.
James Bailey says
Amen! Thanks for the feedback Jim.

About a year ago i was in a seeker friendly mega church and shocked to hear the message of repentance explained as being very similar to confirming a dinner reservation at your favorite restaurant. Apparently, all you have to do is ‘call in’ to the Lord to reserve your spot.

Another timely piece. One thing I’ve come to realize is if a message is not popular or embraced by the masses, it likely is from God. That’s why this type of message is absent from most Sunday alters that focus on making the masses feel good. Recently, in one of my fellowships, I was surprised by a seasoned older christian lady and her reaction when I was telling her about the coming judgement to America. She looked me in the eyes and said, “Honestly, I don’t believe all those doom and gloom prophets. America is a special nation to God and He will not forget it.” I just said okay and moved on as this is the likely reaction if you tell people what’s coming. Reminds me of prophet Jeremiah who kept telling the nation of Israel of the coming 70 year captivity in Babylon unless they repent and they all echoed that God loved Israel too much to allow that. Think about it, when Obama came into office, we thought increasing sexual immorality on TV was one of our biggest issues. Now we can’t even decide what the difference is between a boy and girl and what bathroom they should use. Last week a federal judge approved a transgender person to have the State Dept issue a passport for them with identifying their sex. And unfortunately, majority of Christians believe the answers is always anybody with a “Republican” label behind their name and that’s why as James noted, many preachers are flocking to him. When Trump was asked if he seeks forgiveness from God, he clearly said, “No.” So that’s the christian savior Christians have identified. As you said James, anybody looking to any politician, (regardless of their party) to brighten up their future is in for a surprise. When marshal law and famine hit our country, people will realize that no politician can save them but only God.

I agree with this article. At my workplace, when I mention the last days, Christians start avoiding the conversation as if it is tabboo. They are blinded by the love of this world. Of all the congregations, none have preached on
Revelations. This is what Christ meant when he said “having eyes, they will not see and having ears, they will not hear”. God himself warned us of perilious times ahead, not good times.

God always sets before us life and death. We choose which one. As someone I once knew used to say “It’s multiple choice and He gives us the answer”. He would so much rather bless us but if we continue kicking Him out of our culture, then I don’t believe that His hand of protection will always be over us. After all, He is far more concerned about the eternal souls of people than our living comfortably. If He has to allow shaking to wake up people to their eternity, then at least some will be saved.
trust says
Liked your article. I do not believe in the doom and gloom prophecies or the ones that only talk about the good things. There has to be a balance. I get prophetic news letters and at times I wonder about all the various voices.
I agree prophecy is for the church but in most prophetic utterances in the bible God presented salvation and redemption with repentance. There is no other way.
Even in our personal lives God does discipline, correct and rebuke. He balances it with grace and mercy along with our repentance. I often wonder if I am living in another world when I hear believers only talk about grace, mercy and love.
Paul Benson says
James;
You are dead bulls-eye with your assessment of the importance of repentance in coming to Christ and continuing to abide in him. Another bulls-eye with your assessment of the word ‘A Word For America’. This is just another example of ear-tickling from what I call today’s Cotton Candy Prophets;
Please allow me to quote from a recent article of mine:
It is the truth that set a person free. Posts such as this one of yours help build discernment in the Body; We need this kind prodding occasionally to keep the guard up. Might have cost you a few popularity points here on earth; but I suspect the Lord would say ‘two thumbs up!’

Well said James, well said. Not only is the sinners prayer not biblical, but how about everyone close your eyes and bow your head while a salvation alter call is given in church. Man that drives me nuts. If you can’t stand for Christ in Church then what makes a person possibly think that they can stand outside the church under persecution. And if you try to talk to the leadership of your church about it, your argument just falls on deaf ears. Really really frustrating.
James Bailey says
Thanks Mark. I agree with you on the secret altar calls, but I don’t see anything unscriptural about the sinner’s prayer because it depends on the words prayed. Prayer to God is the only hope for any sinner and anyone can be saved by repenting from their sins, confessing and believing as stated in Romans 10:9-10.
jim mccollam says
Amen James, condemning the sinners prayer is like condemning water baptism just because someone does not continue to follow the Lord. We cannot be saved without uttering a prayer as simple as the publican who said “God be mercifiul to me a sinner” and he went away justified. There is nothing wrong with the prayer or the water just the sincerity of the person.
Jeff Byerly says
Here is a word that the Lord gave me back in January but it fits well here.
Is your hope in Donald Trump or in Jesus ? I tell you the truth Trump cannot save this country but Jesus could. The whole reason that this country is in the shape its in is because she did not want to follow God any more. The government of America has made many laws against the Most High God but now they are making laws for a foreign god – allah . People of America who call yourselves “Christians” Attention ! Persecution is coming and there will be no more luke warmness, you will either be “on fire” for Jesus or you will be totally cold toward Him. Even if The LORD were to allow Trump to win would it change anything? Would the people’s hearts be turned back to Jesus or would they just keep going down the slippery slope of sin ? The Lord gave this country since 9-11-01 to repent and turn back to Him . Very few did. How long did the repentance last ? Is America not in deeper sin than on 9-10-01 ? I know that it IS ! The Father cannot protect this country anymore , Because of His law of reaping and sowing. Do you think Trump or any other candidate is a Christian ? I tell you none of them are , they would not even be able to run for office if they were not part of the Beast System that they call government.
Christians wake up there is No Political solution to a Spiritual problem !
Jesus has been warning His church for over a hundred years to turn away from sin and turn back to Him. Very few have listened . The Lord has been very merciful and gracious toward America , even made her the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world.
She was so beautiful and pure when she was young , she loved and respected her Husband . She committed her life to honoring and obeying her Husband . As time when on He lavished her with blessing after blessing. She was treated like royalty because of His Great Love for her. When others came against her He would always be there to defend her and her enemies would go running.
She and He had a love that no one could break so it seemed. It was then she got her first fix of greed and lust and she was “hooked”. The Husband told her “No” sternly many times but she had to have her fix. She waited at night till He looked like He was sleeping and she slipped out to the parties and nightclubs to get another fix. She had to have MORE and MORE and MORE ! She started staying out all night and then for days and then for weeks at a time and then she would come home and her loving Husband would forgive her and love her. One day she told him she wasn’t coming back because His rules were too harsh for her to live by she wanted freedom to do whatever she pleased.
Oh how she has rebelled like a dirty Whore selling herself to the highest bidder and forgetting her first love , her ever faithful Husband who longed for her to return home so He can clean her up and forgive her and love her once again.
I tell you the Husband has had ENOUGH !
He has cut her off from His provision . At first she gets by and even earns a enough to pay her bills and get her fixes regularly. Things start to change it gets harder and harder to make ends meet. She has to start borrowing money a little at first, but she will surly pay it back she has AAA+ credit rating. She has to lower her price so she doesn’t lose her customers and she sells her Gold ring given to her by her husband.
She is now having a hard time because she is Not “America the Beautiful” anymore she shows the wrinkles and graying of old age and she is has been beaten and abused by men that wish her harm.
She looks in every dark alleyway and corner for someone who will pay her enough to get her next fix. She is an addict. She uses so much that she is indebted to every dealer around. One day she her credit is cut off and her debt is called. She had no money to pay so the men all start to take there shots at her until she falls . She lay in the street beaten and left for dead, cold, hungry, dirty, and afraid. She will never be able to pay back what she owes, so she is sold off into slavery. There she will repent of her ways and turn back to her faithful Husband the Most High God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will take her back but she will not be as she was. She will be battered ,bruised ,scared and humbled.
There will be “terrorist” attacks on America this year . The country will be under martial law .Obama will cancel the 2016 election just until things get back to “normal” Things will never go back to “normal” Obama reveals himself as the Anti-Christ and starts to persecute Christians and introduces the mark of the beast and no one can buy sell or trade unless they have that mark. Natural disasters will take place one after another and when we are down that is when our enemies will attack from all sides. THE GREATEST REVIVAL THE WORLD HAS KNOWN WILL THEN TAKE PLACE. The Holy Spirit will be imparted beyond measure on every true Born Again believer and miracles as never seen before will occur by the millions.
Let me ask you my friend
ARE YOU READY?
Trump ain’t gonna get it done
JESUS WILL
Ken Roberts says
Excellent, Jeff! I REALLY hope and pray, we don’t have to wait until, “we’re attacked on all sides” until the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. I sure hope it happens WAAAAAY before then! I’m expecting it to happen when the judgment begins that starts to REALLY get the people of the nation’s attention. I’M guessing in the next couple of months. Other than that, excellent post!

Thank you for your post James. I agree with you. If we follow the words of the bible it’s easy to see you are spot on. I believe we should be getting even closer to Jesus as we see the signs of the times we are in. We will never know the timing so we should be ready to enter the kingdom of heaven at any moment we are called. And until that time comes we should spread the word the way Jesus intended, trying to show his glory to as many hearts as we can. We should explain his ways with the love only he can give. Not to get caught up in all the distractions put in font of us including the wolves in sheeps clothing preaching false gospels through false prophets. The closer we get to the Lord the easier we will be able to see these false gospels and warn others to not get snared along the way. Thanks James for your work in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

this in my opinion is one of your best articles since I found z3. I agree with Tom P most all “Christians “are being led to the slaughter house. I read John 7 this morning and Jesus could see right through the people’s heart and what they were really all about.
Repentance is not taught in most churches. It’s more like John 3:16. Just believe and everything will be okay. In order to truly believe you need to live it daily and repent! Sounds so simple but so hard. That’s why most diet plans don’t work. It takes discipline and effort.

Those in the pulpits preach belief in the gospel message as described in Jn 3:16 but for some reason omit Heb 5:9. The Greek word for “obey” in this verse does not describe a one-time act of obedience as when one believes in Jesus as one’s Savior for the first time. Rather, it is a present tense verb which signifies ongoing obedience. Therefore a believer’s lifestyle must be characterized by obedience in order to have salvation. Those who refuse to repent and practice disobedience do not have the assurance of salvation.
Ed h says
Amen Stewart, but that’s not a happy happy feel good message
James Bailey says
Thanks for sharing Hebrews 5:9 Stuart. The thing I like about it is it connects our obedience with our salvation, which as you stated is much different from the popular message preached in many churches. Praying a salvation prayer in the past means nothing unless we continue to follow God in obedience to His commandments. There needs to be a giant IF presented at every altar call. Eternal life is available to us IF we continue to obey God. The idea of eternal security for anyone who prays the salvation prayer contradicts many scriptures, as I documented here:

Thanks for this discussion guys. I go around and around with my wife and in-laws periodically about this topic, as they are strong OSAS believers. If I may, can I ask a question for anyone who can answer?
I personally don’t believe in OSAS but I have a question about backsliding. At what point (if any) does a “backslidden” christian need to be concerned about the state of his salvation? Also, I have been told by family members that if a once-saved-yet-backslidden christian “slides” too far into sin that God gives them over to the devil, which eventually would lead to their physical death but being still saved would result in “God taking them home early”. Any thoughts on this?

Years ago Kenneth Hagin told about going to the hospital to pray for a relative who was seriously ill and had finally come back to the Lord. Hagin said he laid his hand on this person’s chest three times and prayed for his healing. Each time his hand was moved off his relative’s chest while he prayed for the healing. The third time he Hagin opened his eyes and it was actually an angel moving his hand off his relation’s chest. The angel told Hagin that if his relative was healed, God know his will backslide into perdition. The Lord wanted to take him home now. God alone decides how many chances we get to come back to the Lord. Hagin understood then and there that many never come back to the Lord and it is too late and they are lost forever.
Ken Roberts says
Grace, just like time eventually runs out. I think we’ve reached that point in America now.
James Bailey says
It is wisdom to fear God because He has the power to throw us into eternal hell, so it is always foolish to take His grace for granted. Our right standing with God has a very short expiration date (Ezekiel 18:24), which is why we are instructed to hunger and thirst for it (Matthew 5:6) and seek it first above anything else (Matthew 6:33).
The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 1:7). Fearing Him is essential for knowing Him because the two go together as a package deal. The more we know Him the more we fear Him and the more we fear Him the more we know Him (Proverbs 2:5). Anyone who claims we don’t need to fear God does not know Him or His word very well.
1 My son, if you will receive my words and treasure my commandments within you,
2 Make your ear attentive to wisdom, incline your heart to understanding;
3 For if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding;
4 If you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will discern the fear of Yahweh and discover the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:1-5)
Scott says
Isaiah’s prophesy about Jesus in Isaiah 11:1-4 illustrates the importance of the fear of the Lord…
1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

P.S. Speaking of OSAS; here’s a dream/vision I had where I learned the TRUE meaning of ‘eternal security’:
https://pbenson.me/2016/04/07/a-righteous-dream-about-jesus/
savedjon says
I’d like to hear your vision Paul. Hers my take on it.. We are saved by Grace through Faith Eph 2:8 We are saved by the work of Jesus Christ and the work of Jesus alone. If we try to bring or add anything to our salvation it is blasphemy. I come from a Pentecostal background and even though most Pentecostals don’t believe in OSAS [the doctrine of eternal security as it is currently known] I believe that God does. Gods will is that none should parish and all come to repentance but unfortunately many don’t. A person can forfeit their salvation by the desensitization of continual unrepentant sin. Jesus offers salvation and has paid the ultimate price to make that possible. But he won’t force a person to accept him or force a person stay “in Christ” Un repentant sin is very dangerous to the believer and it leads to eternal losses. [the bema seat of Christ… Christian’s will be rewarded for things done while in the body the good reward and the bad suffer loss]
On a side note but somewhat connected. Since our salvation is based on Jesus and Jesus alone any other system of salvation we mix with what Jesus has done is blasphemous. The conundrum we read in Hebrews 6:4-8 clearly states that if a person falls away it is impossible for that person to be restored.
The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Hebrews to the Jews who were converting to Christianity but was still keeping the Mosaic Law. Some of the Jews were doing it out of unbelief [they were uncertain about abandoning Judaism and the temple sacrifices] and others did it out of persecution. [ it actually became safer to be a Jew than a Christian] so many Jews where a Jews outwardly but still confessed Christ when they were among Christians.
I know a man that meets all the criteria for these verses and fits this description completely. He was a mature believer – a bible teacher, regenerated by the Holy Spirit etc.. met a girl who was a Muslim and has completely left Christianity Islam. One day he will be at the great white throne judgment and he will probably try to use the excuse that he did accept Jesus as savior and knew the bible.. etc.. But God will say to him ‘…I never knew you..It is impossible for you because you have been enlightened and fell away, to late to be brought back to repentance. It is your loss won’t allow the crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace”
I apologize for the long Post. I’m a little bored here waiting for my TV set to be delivered.
Ed h says
Purnell,
OSAS is a Christian get of jail card theology. We all sin, we all fall short of the glory of God. The difference is we as following Christians should not be living a life of sin. We as believers should be a new creation filled with the Holy Spirit .
A Christian life should be a changed life and not a life of sin. We are forgiven no matter how many times we sin ; however, we should be living a more holy life as we get closer to Christ.
A Christian can fall back into sin, but a person who lives a life controlled by sin is not a true Christian.
Nita Grisham says
Hi Purnell, James chapter 4 deals with this quite well. James is speaking to Christians here. James 4;4 (NIV) says, you adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to become a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Purnell for us to become an enemy of God means we were at one time abiding in him as Christians. I hope that helps.
Dean says
I would give the same citation as Mr. Benson about concerns of one’s salvation, Philippians 2:12.
Concerning the idea of being “given over to the devil,” we of course have the example in the 5th chapter of I Corinthians, which may very well be what your family members have in mind. I wouldn’t go “all-in” on the “God gives them over” part, though.
Ken Roberts says
If you know someone who no longer has a desire for the things of God, they’re no longer interested in reading Scripture, praying or fellowshipping/communicating with other like-minded believers…I’d say they’re in deep, deep trouble and their salvation is in jeopardy. The opposite is true of a REAL Christian.
stuart says
Hi Purnell,
My thoughts on this would take up too much space so I’ll try to be brief. Paul warns in Rom 8:12-13 “Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, YOU WILL DIE; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, YOU WILL LIVE.” We know that Paul addresses his warning to Christians because he refers to them as the brethren in v.12. In v.13, believers have a choice to live according to the flesh or to live according to the Spirit. If they choose the former, they reap spiritual death; separation from God. If they choose the latter, they reap spiritual life. We know that Paul is not talking about physical death because every single human dies physically, irrespective of whether we live according to the flesh or the Spirit. Moreover, only regenerated believers can choose to live according to the flesh or the Spirit. Unbelievers are incapable of living according to the Spirit and can only live according to the flesh. Thus Paul warning believers here of the consequences of spiritual death if they choose to practice sin in in their lives.
Jesus himself taught the same thing. In the parable of the prodigal son, much emphasis has been placed on the Father’s grace and mercy toward us. While that is certainly true, Jesus stated something twice in this story and we know that when Jesus repeats himself, he is emphasizing an important point or even making it the main point of his teaching. In Lk 15:24, 32, Jesus repeats himself saying “… was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” The Father states his son is “alive again.” We know that the prodigal did not experience physical death so the question is how can someone be made alive AGAIN? When someone becomes a believer, he is regenerated by the Spirit and is made alive in Christ (1st time). The only way to be made alive again (2nd time) is for a Christian to become spiritually dead through sowing to the flesh and habitual sin (as did the prodigal when he chose to no longer abide in his father’s house and pursued a sinful lifestyle). When the prodigal repented and returned to the Father he became ALIVE AGAIN. So it is with believers. Continued willful sin in the life of the believer eventually leads to spiritual death. When such person repents and turns back to God he/she is forgiven and is made alive again. Jesus summarized his teaching of the prodigal son in v.32 and we would be wise to heed it. God forgives occasional sin since no one is without sin, but the practice or lifestyle of sin in the life of a believer leads to spiritual death.

Stuart,
Thank you for this word…I was a backslider for over 30 years before being “shaken” by the Lord when we adopted an abused 13 year old girl five years ago. Since then I have repented and tried to be a faithful follower. And I will ask you and the Z3 community, but I have struggled with this thought…do I need to be re-baptized? I have been seeking the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and have read I may need to baptized again? Comments welcomed.

Scott,
Lucky you wake up. And I am happy that you are trying to be a faithful follower. You can always ask Holy Spirit to fill you up every time you pray privately. ( When you pray , it would be good to shut the door and kneel down to be humble , and raise up your hand. ). About the re-baptize matter, it would always be good to do it again with a joyful heart, because this time, you really mean it.

I meant it the first time…I still remember the euphoria that I felt…but was Junior in HS and then went to college and the backsliding began. We were empty nesters for five years and then God delivered a very abused girl to us and we adopted her five years ago. People said we saved her…but I tell them…no she saved us.
Just as hard as repentance…was forgiveness, which is another important tenant to get into heaven…a very difficult thing for me to do…I had some ill will towards some pretty dishonorable (betrayal) people…but I let it go…let it go! Thanks for the input…much appreciated!

About forgiveness, the apostles of Jesus’ time have witnessed Jesus raised from death nearly 2000 years ago, they fully understood God’s Gospel are real, that’s why they fervently preached the Gospel for Jesus. I don’t think these apostles have much time to feel hurt, because they are not living for themselves, they were living for Jesus.
Once I read a pastor talking about the forgiveness. He said one African man has seen his wife raped , his son beaten to death in front of him while he was in Africa — and he still need to forgive that person who did that, while in US people would complaint their pizza were delivered late. A lot of bad things you experience now may not be that serious. In the later time, more evil will fall on the earth. We would see more evil things in the future.
You can set your prospective clear: You are going to be raptured up into the air with Jesus maybe in 2032 — 16 years away. 16 years is very short. Don’t waste your time on unforgiveness. Pray the prayer of ” let Jesus’ heart be my heart “, bless that person in Jesus’ name — say it out. Blessing that person is the most effective way to forgive that person.
And you know that if that person does not repent, he is not going to heaven — with this awareness, you should have sympathy for him, and pray for him for his salvation.
Anyway, all Christian need to grow into mature, and grow into Jesus’ authority.
Scott says
That is a good prayer. I spent the better part of my “return” focusing on repentance…giving up sinful habits…serving those in need…tithing 10%…reading the Bible & etc. But one day I read Mathew 6:15 and then received confirmation sermon the next day. (I do seem to receive lots of confirmations) Since then, I have spent the better part of the last year…trying to remember past trespasses and then forgive them. Sometimes a memory will come back and I find myself thinking negatively about that person…I will stop and pray to forgive.Satan is continually working my sinful nature…so I must continue to repent as I forgive. Thanks for the input…God Bless!

Scripture does not mandate that you need to be baptized again. However it does not prohibit it either. If you feel the need or desire to get rebaptized then you are free to do so. Water baptism signifies our death and resurrection with Christ which apparently you have more understanding of now so getting baptized again may have more significance for you now that you understand and are trying to follow the Lord.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit in my opinion is a separate action for the purpose of the outpouring of God’s power upon your life. God is faithful as you continue to seek and follow him.
“But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him” (1 Jn 2:5).
Scott says
I was comfortable with my baptism…but had little understanding of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. My adopted daughter (see above) actually introduced me to this baptism. As I studied the Bible (Paul) and other Pastors and Prophets…I have become convinced that I should have received the Holy Spirit at the time of my water baptism…hands should have been laid on me and prayer for the Holy Spirit to baptize me…but the modern Church I grew up in…does not do this. Most churches today do not teach this. But as I have studied…some have indicated that I should be re-baptized so that I can then receive the Holy Spirit…still not sure if this is true. I may have received the Holy Spirit…I had a prayer “incident”…but I have doubts…Satan always putting doubts in my mind.
Jesus received the Holy Spirit after John the Baptist baptized him. Paul asked the newly baptized if they had received the Holy Spirit when they were baptized…and prayed for them till they received the Holy Spirit. I feel this is very important for the Christian to receive if they are to walk in Jesus footsteps. Thanks for your help!

You’re correct that except for the Pentecostal and Charismatic churches, most churches do not teach on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You might want to google Charles Carrin as he has written extensively on the subject. He was in the pastorate for years before he experienced being baptized in the Spirit and had to change his theology resulting in him being asked to leave his former denomination.

I strongly recommend against it.
If you had not known what you were doing, or were doing it because you were somehow compelled by others, that would be a different matter.
But, you’ve written in subsequent posts that you understood what you were doing, and likely you understood the power of forgiveness through faith in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I believe we are admonished to not do this, in Heb. 6:6:
“If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.”
I believe being re-baptized would be, effectively, a public statement that somehow the first baptism “wasn’t good enough,” and this is what Paul meant by “crucify…afresh.”
With regard to baptism in the Holy Spirit, I think your answer lies in Act 2:38, 39:
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
You were already baptized; perhaps the other condition hadn’t quite been properly met: that’s between you and God.
Scott says
Dean…thank you for your comments…this rings true in my heart. I have not felt compelled to get re-baptized…feeling that I have already accepted Jesus. But the more I read about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I felt maybe I had missed this opportunity…doubt begins to creep in. Thanks again!

That’s hard to explain in one post but here are my 2 cents. A back slider isn’t concerned about their state of salvation and in most cases they lost the sensitivity to the Holy Spirits conviction long ago. That’s the danger and warning from God NOT to get to that state. Many times it takes another believer to bring that one back. In many ways we are our brother’s keeper and we need to be concerned for them . The point for the spiritual Christian is that when our brother is caught in some trespass, we must exercise bold faith in seeking to restore him. Doing nothing is not an option if you love God and your brother. Sometimes, if you do not have a relationship with the person, all you can do is pray. But when the situation involves someone you know, the Lord may want you to be involved.
I have witnessed a couple of time where I think God took someone home who had an intense battle with sin. When I was in my teens I lived in a small town in Florida and in a local church there was a youth leader you had an intense struggle with homosexuality. In his case he repented of it and struggled and would be doing great for a few months then would go back into it. . But everyone that knew him knew he was sincere and wanted to please God. He would repent at the alter with tears in his eyes and was always the last one to leave the alter call. He eventual was in a car accident where everyone else in his vehicle was safe but he ended up dying of head trauma. The thing that sticks out most was that the funeral was more like a celebration in a weird way people were “happy” for him.

Watch Now
My shaking is coming to your government, America, for My Judgments are at the door.
NOTE: In the spirit, I saw panic, disorder and chaos in the White House, but not the reason for it – it appeared that something very upsetting had happened on a very large scale.
Darkness has invaded America and the enemy lurks within its borders. A plan is underway to surprise you with an attack that will shock the world. In days past, I would have shielded you (America), but you no longer walk in My Ways, preferring abomination to blessing. So abominations you shall have.
NOTE: When He said abominations we would have, I knew He meant very literally, but I could not see if He meant abominable creatures, people, or what form we will have them in.
Watch now as I bring to pass the abominations you have desired.
NOTE: It occurred to me that radiation mutates living things, and could cause creatures we would consider abominations to occur.

Matt. I heard something that maybe connected to this. I wrote it in ‘UVXY rocket now preparing for blast off’. I saw in a vision a rego with 911 on it. I heard ‘notice, 911 allstars’.
After I saw and heard that, Christopher posted a ‘veterans today’ article on a nuclear bomb. I also heard ‘car bomb’ and then seconds later saw ‘z bomb’ on number plate (that is in real life). July 22, July 25. Before I read what Glynda wrote I heard ‘dirty’.
The Lord gave us prior warning of the atrocities committed on Bastille day that are posted in this same article on July 12.
I also heard ‘Louisiana’ yesterday but I don’t know what that was about. Or even if it was related.
Matt NZ says
Thanks for that info Jane

No problem Matt but that bit of info is not enough to be of much help. So listening, praying and waiting in case there is more.

Jane NZ. I was talking to my Mom earlier. She told me she heard in her spirit a few days ago while in prayer, “Baton Rouge. Red.” She mentioned another word which I can’t remember right now. When she revealed these words to me, I told her it sounds as though there will be a violent protest in Baton Rouge with “red” representing bloodshed. We’re still in the prophesied month of “bloodshed,” as revealed to us by Pastor Faircloth. Also, July 31st – August 1st is an illuminati human sacrifice night. Sure wish I could remember that other word. I may have to ask her again. Regardless, I don’t think we get out of July without more bloodshed making the news.
Jane NZ says
911 – month of Av is the 11th of the civil year
In real life the date my rego expires is 13/8 (9th Av is 13/14 August)
My car wof expires 9/9
Anniversary of D Day 6.6.6
VJ Day – 15 August – 2 bombs dropped on Japan, end of WW2
9th Av – Germany declared war on Russia, effectively starting WW1
I had a vision of the Southern Crown with a wheel made up of stars beside it. The crown is the Archers crown and arrows. The Southern Crown crosses the meridian on the 15th August. The wheel points to judgment for some, and crossing over into rewards and promises for others.
Jane NZ says
Sorry – some further explanation…On July 22 had vision of car rego with 911 on it heard. Heard ‘notice, 911, allstars’. On July 24 heard ‘car bomb’ then seconds later saw ‘z bomb’ on car number plate of car in McDonald’s drive through. I have a Japanese Nissan (miracle)
June 28 I posted a vision of round golden egg on top of ocean stack. Heard ‘cyclops’ and ‘single eye’ later that day. This has a connection to 9 Av and the 12 spies reporting on the giants they saw. I give a good report. As the egg was on a stack I thing that points to the markets going up until 9 Av. On the 15th August I am anticipating a sign.

James,
It’s uncanny the separation of wheat/tares I am recognizing in my little sphere of existence. Even the people I know that claim to be true, “christian” don’t seem to be getting it. And…those who don’t necessarily claim to be christian seem to be only giddy with the amazing economy and the rising stock market. I’d be comfortable in saying that the ratio of people I know that are acting with any concern at all is about 1:99, (might be commentary as to whom I’m hanging around).
This also goes toward the church I’ve attended for about 19 years. In a recent discussion with a dear brother and mentor I mentioned this to him that I’ve not even felt like I want to attend our church for awhile because they never speak of repentance or seeking a relationship with God. This brother is a former pastor at the church aforementioned and I’m not sure he disagreed with my opinion at all.
“When” the shaking really starts, I’m wondering what percentage of these people will even seek repentance!? It would seem to me that most would get bitter about it or just pass it off as a temporary hurdle. Maybe God is going to make it really difficult financially for these people as money might be the only medium that gets their attention. I am really concerned.
As a side note….when I looked at the word triumph for the first time I saw, “trump”…..TRiUMPh. Not suggesting at all this means anything, just mentioning I saw the name pop out.
Blessings

Thanks for sharing that Tom. The church has strayed far from the path yet seems to believe all is well.
Marvin C. Craion says
We only teach a partial plan of God’s redemptive plan for man. We teach about repentence but, not about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is a tragedy indeed. For Jesus spoke of sending us a Comforter which is the Holy Ghost. One “doesn’t” receive the Holy Spirit just because they quote Romans 10:9 for Paul asked the disciples that believed on Jesus in Acts 19:2 had they received since they believe. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God~1 Corinth 2:10, We receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon us Acts 1:8, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. John 14:26……. Many prophecies that are posted I must question the origins of them. I know that in this hour satan is bombarding the Church with false words. There are national known “prophets” that are claiming the Lord said Trump will be president and the other national known prophets are saying Hillary!!!!……. Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit there’s also “Justisfication” that was the work of Jesus for we are justified by Him, Sanctification that is the work of the Holy Spirit, Glorification is the work of the Father this is what we will witness in the endtimes. There will be a great revival likening unto the Azusa Street Revivals but greater with the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. Take this Word before God for it is true. Ask God for the baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. Time is SHORT!
Cory Ann says
What you said James confirms what I recently read in Ezekiel 13.The LORD will condemn these prophets for giving false visions and uttering lies that lead His people astray!
James Brooks says
While I strongly agree the without repentance there can be no ultimate reprieve for this country, I also want to point out that we need to guard against divisiveness in the Body of Christ. Could it be that some of the prophets who are predicting a period of “peace and safety” be correct? Could it be possible that after a very short period of such peace and safety, the bottom drops out? If we insist that everything is downhill from here, and then there IS a turnaround, who will listen to us then?
James Bailey says
I am not claiming to know the timing of God’s judgments. That goes beyond the scope of this article. The point is we are in a war against the spirit of antichrist and his weapons of deception. It is time to start fighting back by exposing the smooth words and the false hope they bring.
Jane NZ says
Hey James. I wrote an article for z3 today that when I am released to I will email it to you for you to consider posting. There are some very interesting similarities between the two articles. It was encouraging for me to read it to give me confirmation that I was in the Lords timing and hearing a very similar word.
