    Utterly false headline and conclusion.
The word ‘eradicate’ was used by Kelly Anne Conway.
I do not know what kind of Muslim Reza claims to be but it is definitely not Sufi.
‘Classical Sufi scholars have defined Sufism as “a science whose objective is the reparation of the heart and turning it away from all else but God”. Alternatively, in the words of the Darqawi Sufi teacher Ahmad ibn Ajiba, “a science through which one can know how to travel into the presence of the Divine, purify one’s inner self from filth, and beautify it with a variety of praiseworthy traits”.’
The Quran does not say to kill any who disagree with you.
It says to destroy Pagans who worship more than one god and those who take up arms against you.
It was the fact that Jews were practising Usury (Banned by jews, christians and muslims) that they were required in Spain to convert.
Elsewhere non muslims were required to pay tax as they did not practise Zakat.

“So then when @KellyannePolls said we need to “eradicate” this evil she meant shoot it in the face? ”
“The President is a white nationalist terror leader. His supporters – ALL OF THEM – are by definition white nationalist terror supporters. The MAGA hat is a KKK hood. And this evil, racist scourge must be eradicated from society.”

As in eradicate the scourge of Zionism or Nazism or Capitalism, nothing to do with killing or ‘eradicating’ the persons.

I disagree with his stupidity but will defend his right to say anything which does not call for violence against others.
You do yourself a disservice by making false claims.

    1. PJ – Always good to hear your feedback. My headline may be sensationalized and general, but it is designed to get some attention which it did with you. Eradicate was used by Reza, and eradicate doesn’t leave much left over. You may be correct in that he is Sufi in name only, just as there are Jews in name only, Christians in name only Republicans in name only (acronym RiNO) etc. Nonetheless, he claims to be Sufi. It is risky to observe anyone’s beliefs without meeting the criteria of the beliefs, and sadly, we don’t read and know all of the belief systems of others. You are partially correct that the Qur’an does not say “kill anyone who disagrees with you”, although it does give carte blanche to all believers to kill, lie to, cheat and deceive infidels which includes Christians, Jews, Pagans, and basically any religion other than Islam. They do have the option to implement dhimitude which is enslavement to a heavy tax burden and second class citizenship , or forced conversion to Islam. Those are the three choices left to infidels. I’m not sure what Qur’an translations are out there, but I’ve been exposed to a couple. Now, I should qualify, that not all Muslims believe the Qur’an. In fact, my guess would be that most Muslims have never read the Qur’an, just as most Christians have never read the Bible – at least not the whole thing. What I am reasonably convinced of is that Muslims who have not read the Qur’an will side with their fellow Muslims when push comes to shove. As an aside, the Qur’an does not mention “love”, like Christ mentions “love your neighbor”, love your enemy and do good unto him”, “love is the fulfillment of the law” etc. etc.

    Hi there,
So in the article and western minds, Eradicating Zionism means to kill all what? Israelis, Jews, Christian Zionists?
Eradicating racism which is an idea not a race or even people does not require any one to be killed or even harmed.
The concept that Infidels must be killed is a tenet of Islam is just nonsense.
    Merriam Webster
Definition of infidel (Entry 1 of 2)
1 : one who is not a Christian or who opposes Christianity
2a : an unbeliever with respect to a particular religion
b : one who acknowledges no religious belief
3 : a disbeliever in something specified or understood
    Not only that but :
[4:90] Exempt those who join a people with whom you have concluded a peace treaty, and those who come to you with hearts unwilling to fight you, nor to fight their relatives. Had God willed, he could have placed them in power over you and they would have made war on you.
Therefore, if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then God gives you no way to go against them.

If people do not fight and attack you, leave them alone is the truth of Islam not the nonsense of Bush, Trump and Bolton.

The Quran specifically protects and reveres ‘People of the Book’.

Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Jesus are all revered in the Quran. All the concepts of the bible are included in the Quran with the exception that Jesus is a) the son of God and b) the messiah.
The Pentateuch is almost identical in the Torah, the Bible and the Quran.
Only Christians and Jews who take up the sword against Muslims are enemies, which is why the Jews and Christians of Syria, Lebanon and Iran for instance have lived in harmony with Islam for 1,300 years.
They must follow two precepts.1) No usury and 2) No proselytising.

Islam and Arabic use ‘do good’ (be charitable) in place of ‘Love’ which in the modern bible is probably a mistranslation from the original. Modern translations use ‘Love; in place of the original ‘Charity’ as in Faith, Hope and Charity being replaced with Faith, Hope and Love.

“Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbour, the neighbour farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess.”

Love is reserved for romantic love in Arabic.

    1. PJ – That’s a fast response. Here’s a web site that allows you to see the Arabic, and translate to English if you don’t read Arabic (which I don’t) https://quran.com/?local=en I did a search on the word “infidel” which Muslims see as those who do not worship Allah. Sura 25:52 ﯓ ﯔ ﯕ ﯖ ﯗ ﯘ ﯙ which translates to “So, (O Prophet,) do not obey the infidels, and strive against them with it (the Qur’ān), in utmost endeavor” This alone puts all Muslims at odds with the United States (“do not obey”) Constitution, and any laws that are based upon Christian precepts that are the foundation of America’s government. The following link gives you the vows that have to be taken to become a Muslim. Part of that denies that Jesus Christ is part of the Trinity. Now, I’m not going into a theological debate on the Trinity except to say that the lion’s share or Christians believe in the Trinity which makes Christ a manifestation of God (Allah) in the flesh. You have to deny that to become a Muslim. https://muslimconverts.com/howtoconvert/ Now here’s Sura 2:191 ﭑ ﭒ ﭓ ﭔ ﭕ ﭖ ﭗ ﭘﭙ ﭚ ﭛ ﭜ ﭝﭞ ﭟ ﭠ ﭡ ﭢ ﭣ ﭤ ﭥ ﭦﭧ ﭨ ﭩ ﭪﭫ ﭬ ﭭ which translates to: “Kill them wherever you encounter them, and drive them out from where they drove you out, for persecution is more serious than killing. Do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they fight you there. If they do fight you, kill them- this is what such disbelievers deserve.” Now, there are numerous quotes from the Qur’an like this. Remember that the Qur’an is speaking of relationships within their community of believers. Jesus when he speaks of love uses the Greek “agape” which means a universal love for all mankind. That love includes doing unto others as you would have them do unto you – of course that doesn’t mean you let someone bludgeon you, hack you to death or whatever, unless it is because you are being persecuted by the authorities of government and can’t flee. If you go to this video, you will see where a lady who is a Muslim and U.S. Congresswoman calls for all the world (including America) to become Muslim, and we know the most radical cut off the heads of people who refuse to convert (Christians most commonly). Here’s a one minute video: https://youtu.be/89VZoDNwCTo Additionally, if you go to the search box above my category list and put in the word Muslim, you will find many posts on the issue. Do I have a bias? Absolutely! I am a Christian American who does not like Sharia law, Muslim works salvation ( https://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/practices/fivepillars.shtml ), and Muslim bad theology – I will not go into the long history of Muslim confusion theologically, and Mohammed’s history which is really sordid and confused. Here’s Sharia law which among other things allows for polygamy – not Christian at all: https://resources.saylor.org/wwwresources/archived/site/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/HIST351-2.3.2-Sharia.pdf One last thought PJ; there are Muslim communities in Dearborn Michigan and upstate New York to name a couple, and they operate on Sharia law. U.S. officials are not allowed into these communities where American laws are being violated such as polygamy, and honor killings. America will not survive that mindset. If America doesn’t survive, then point out to me one country that’s got a remote chance of survival on this planet as things stand right now.

Some of what you write agrees with what I said. The belief that Christ was a holy man and a prophet and not the ‘Son of God’
Of course you have to deny Christ being God, however the great Constantine schism was whether Christ was God and whether the Trinity was God.
Millions of Orthodox Christians to this day deny this.

Surah 25 is about the prophet travelling in foreign cities and how he was prohibited from certain areas. Specifically Mecca was at the time the centre of many religions and had icons and statues from various Greek, Roman, African and Christian religions. The Meccans made a great business of allowing people to see them (primarily in the black rock)

    25:50
And We have certainly distributed it (the teachings of the Quran) among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.
And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.
So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur’an a great striving.

They instruction was to argue and dispute the teachings of other religions with the words of the Quran.
    Paul said much the same.
    2 Timothy 4:2

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
So it is hardly a negative that Muslims are told to do the same.
    ****
256 – There shall be no compulsion in religion; the right way is now distinguished from the wrong way.
So all the stories of forcing Islam upon Jews and Christians is plainly wrong or not Islam.
Just asa Cristians forced their religion on millions by compulsion notwithstanding Christs command to Love their neighbours.
    ****
Nothing in the Quran says ‘Do not obey the constitution’ unless the Constitution is in conflict with the Quran. Duh same as the Bible.
58 – God commands you to render back your trusts to those to whom they are due; and when you judge between man and man, that you judge with justice.

59 – Obey God, and obey His messenger and those charged with authority among you …
    ***
    Surah 2 : 190
Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors.
You will notice that it is expressly those who fought the Prophet. So far as I can read, no wars were initiated by the Muslims under the Prophet.
192 And if they cease, then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and [until] worship is [acknowledged to be] for Allah . But if they cease, then there is to be no aggression except against the oppressors.

You have also to understand that Allah means God (as in today’s Arabic bibles) the same God for Jews, Christians and Muslims. At no time was there a dispute that Christians or Jews worshipped a different God to Muslims. Abraham, Moses etc are all Islamic prophets. So Christians and Jews believe in Allah exactly the same Allah as Muslims.
So the nonsense about cutting off heads is just that, Islam was not radicalised until the USA wanted people to push the Russians out of Afghanistan.
They created the Madrassas, they created the Mujahideen, they created Al Qaeda, they created ISIS from a small and insignificant radical sect, the Wahabbis. Only used as police and thugs by the Saudi royals to control the tribes in rural Saudi Arabia.

“The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the ‘devil’ only in order to drive the TV watcher to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the U.S.” —
Robin Cook, former British Foreign Secretary (Died of ‘heart attack’ whilst running on his own.)

Back to Love thy neighbour, for 14 centuries it was read as ‘being charitable to thy neighbour’ exactly the interpretation placed on Muslims, and as quoted above it extended to all people except pagans.

I do not understand your stance on polygamy. How is it wrong?Plus the primary reason for polygamy is that a woman is a temptation in a home and unless she is your wife, sister or mother, how can she live in your house?
When owing to war, disease or catastrophe many widows and many orphans require support and care, how do you manage to take them in without marrying them. Most of the so-called Christian ‘leaders’ basically took them in and bonked them anyway.

Honour killings are cultural, from North Africa and primarily Pashtun Culture and are prohibited in the Quran.
It is haraam for anyone to carry out a hadd punishment except the ruler or his deputy. This is something on which the fuqaha’ of Islam are unanimously agreed,

Punishment for unlawful sexual contact are flogging (in 90% of contact) or stoning at the order of the ruler, It is never OK for family to do it.
Shariah just means life it is how one should conduct oneself.
The complete BS about Shariah law ids totally ridiculous. In Northern Nigeria the BBC visited to see how the country got on as people (at the time 60% Christian-or no religion and 40% muslim) reacted to the idea that the individual could choose whether to use constitutional law (ie Western law, lawyers magistrates et al) or Shariah dispensed by the Imams.
90% of the people christian and muslim chose Shariah. It soon became apparent that Shariah was about justice and constitutional abut precedent and trickery. The only unhappy people were the lawyers, they had no cases and no business.

I was born in UK but spent my teenage years in Africa. I have lived, worked and consulted in six African countries, North and South America, the Middle East and seven European countries. Given a choice I would live in a Muslim country and choose it over any of the Western places I have lived. Holland and Romania are pretty good but becoming more EU’ed every year.
Don’t believe anything you read in MSM it is all lies.
“The trick for understanding this synthetic world we live in, is learning to think of every event that is reported by national news media as a deception, because it probably is.  Learning to look behind the publicized events which shape popular opinion, is the key to understanding our manufactured reality.  Any report which makes it into the “legitimate press” is either there to help dull our senses, or to mislead us, diverting us from real news stories which might awaken us from our slumber.”

    1. PJ – Whew! Thanks for your gracious, considered and thoughtful response. Pensiamento is not sure where to begin, but I will commend you for being a thinking person, and it sounds like you’ve got a rather cosmopolitan perspective and background. What cannot be denied, and apparently you don’t, is the example of polygamy. Jesus said clearly one man and one woman. That was the way it was intended from the beginning is what He said. If you believe Jesus, and follow John 14:15-23, then that should answer your question as to why my stance is what it is on polygamy and why I reject Sharia as out of hand. It’s the church’s duty to deal with widows and orphans, and yes, the church, at least in America, is very negligent today. Punctiliously pithy, pointless, pusillanimous, perfidious, pernicious teachings by ravenous wolves who Jesus warned of, have infiltrated and undermined the church. That doesn’t eliminate the importance, need and relevance of a good church.

The basis of a world view can be very complex for anyone who has one. My world view is based on the fact that there is a God, and I’m not Him. Therefore, I have a duty to try to understand Him. The Bible presents itself as the Word of God delivered by God to man, through chosen vessels (men anointed by God as prophets) who wrote and spoke in a language and idioms that were understood by the people of the day’s culture. The Qur’an was written (dictated by) Mohammed. Mohammed was exposed to both Judaism and Christianity through somewhat confused second hand communication. Early in his life, he was very favorably disposed to the teachings, and later in his life he became much harsher in his attitude and understanding. The Qur’an is not considered a divinely inspired book (written by God and actually is the Word of God).

The Bible has been closely and thoroughly scrutinized over millennia and particularly over the last couple of hundred years. It has been demonstrated to be historically accurate, geologically accurate (although not a science book), geographically accurate, archaeologically accurate, and morally upright and good. The Qur’an has been investigated also, along with Mohammed’s personal background and claims. There have been numerous inconsistencies in his history, and in the teachings of the Qur’an. I will not attempt to delve into them all right now. As I mentioned, Mohammed was influenced by Jewish and Christian thought, and that is why there is teaching overlap between Islam and the other two major religions.

I definitely do not believe the MSM, and we (includes Peter Chamberlin) are on the same page there. If you want to pursue it further, you can investigate “Reformed” theological writings from the likes of John Calvin, J. Gresham Machen and others over the last 500 years approximately. The Reformed theology is what relieved us of the dead end burden of Roman Catholicism. It’s what helped pave the way to a prosperity the world never knew until the last 100 years. Now, I am not ignorant of one very real truth (you refer to St. Paul, and I refer you to his writing in the book of Romans 3;10-18) of the total depravity of man. In that, there are many who say “Lord Lord”, and are still going to Hell. Paul in Romans 9:13 reminds us “Jacob I loved; Esau I hated”. Neither had even been born, nor done good or evil, when that determination had been made by God. My point is that this kind of theology does not exist in the Qur’an. The Qur’an reflects the thoughts of a man, not of God. Yes, I agree that the name “Allah” means God, but the understanding of who God is in the Christian comprehension, is totally different than in the Muslim comprehension, and therefore creates a cultural chasm that cannot be bridged politically – ever! I’m not saying that you cannot ever be friendly with, work along side of, or maybe even jointly fight for that which is good, right and true with them. You will never be a spiritual brother to a Muslim if you are a Christian – can’t be, won’t be.

Muslims are not taught to “love their enemy”, “turn the other cheek”, marry one woman for life (marriage vow – til death do you part) or do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Islam is a political. legal, cultural and religious closed system that does not leave room for matters of conscience, and it does not allow for independent thinking. It is monolithic, although there is dissension between Wahhabi’s, Shiites, Sunnis and a myriad of many other smaller sects. They do unite around the Qur’an, but are severely divided on Mohammed’s lineage as to successors and follow up writings. Additionally, we are talking about another major cultural distinction which is the tribe verses the individual. Christianity is a relationship between God and each individual person whom God has chosen, and the individual lives with and addresses his/her own sins – nobody else is held responsible, and that’s something the Bible teaches. In Islam, the tribe (family in the smallest denomination), is all important, and no shame must be brought upon the larger group by one individual, as then the group shares the shame (sins) as well; ergo – honor killings of a daughter/sister as one example. In America, honor killing are taking place, and wimpy government officials and law enforcement are turning a blind eye because these communities of Muslims have grown strong and insular, and they do not allow anyone to come into them, and they exercise in their own communities Sharia law. Google it and check it out. Google may not be the best search engine as they are a bunch of leftist cowards and censors set up by the NSA.

Add to that that if a Muslim converts to Christianity, he can be killed. If you use the search box above categories on my BLOG under “Why is Israel so prosperous?” you’ll see a law instituted in the 1970’s that makes it a criminal offense in Israel for a Jew to convert to Christianity. Yet, there is no law that a Christian cannot convert to Judaism or Muslim status. Why? God’s word stands on its own for the believer/unbeliever to accept or reject, and the believer will be a believer because God changes his heart to believe. A Christian cannot work his way to Heaven like a Muslim following the 5 pillars and Sharia law, or the Jew who keeps Kosher. God is sovereign, and there’s nothing anyone can do about that. The true God will favor whom He wills and let go to perdition whom He wills, and that annoys a lot of people who say “That’s not fair!” No, it’s not “fair”, but that’s not why God does what He does. He does all things for His glory and His good pleasure, and as David says, “His thought are too high for us; who can know them, and His ways are too high for us; who can know them?

His secret will (Deuteronomy 29:29) is not for us to know. His revealed word is there to search out understanding. I know people who have spent over 50 years studying God’s word, and they 1.) are still studying, and 2.) don’t know or understand it all, and 3.) are most humbled by it! In depth Theology does not exist in Islamic teachings. Only the mechanics (5 pillars) count, and it’s all based around that. The first thing that John the Baptist, Jesus Christ and St. Peter said to anyone was “Repent and believe upon Jesus Christ as your Savior!” Islam has some future Mahdi promised, but he has yet to arrive. I will go with the Christian Gospel because I have seen its fruit and it is good. I do not get the Gospel’s fruit confused with the corrupt fruit of man! Jesus said; “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit; you shall know them by their fruit!” (Applies to Muslims, Jews, Atheists, fake and real Christians etc.)

    Hi Pensiamento

I am not trying to convert you and am certain that with a DD brother and 70 years under my belt I will not be converted but still ..

“Islam is a political. legal, cultural and religious closed system that does not leave room for matters of conscience, and it does not allow for independent thinking.
The Qur’an is not considered a divinely inspired book (written by God and actually is the Word of God).”
Not at all. To suggest that The Philippines, Kuwait, Brunei or Pakistan is the same as Saudiis very wrong. It is politically and culturally more diverse than the ‘Christian’ countries.
Around 2 billin people currently believe that the Quran is the direct divinely inspired word of God. Not only that, but each word can be traced back directly to someone who witnessed it being spoken by the Prophet.
The Bible on the other hand was a mish-mash of hundreds of texts and gospels cobbled together in Nicaea to stop the everlasting squabbles of hundreds of self-proclaimed bishops. Much was discarded and much copied from Jewish texts. It did not work and still the various factions argue over the exegesis of the bible. One would have thought that the Dead Sea Scrolls would shed light on these things but they are hidden from and only an ‘authorised’ version is permitted.
It is interesting how the various ‘versions’ of the Bible are updated to alter the meaning. EG ‘Faith, Hope and Charity’.

“but are severely divided on Mohammed’s lineage as to successors and follow up writings”
They were not ‘severely divided’ until it suited the US to use a divide and conquer strategy to obtain control of oil.
In normal life for 1,400 years it was no more important than whether one was a baptist or a methodist. Today 99.9% of muslims live inharmony in mixed Shia, Sunni, SUfi communities wih no friction whatsoever.
The main difference being in the early days, who was the spiritual leader of Islam. Could the leader be a mere follower or did they have to be a descendant of Mohammed. Much like the question of whether the Pope had to be Italian or not. ( and a large number of people died as a result of that little discussion. Kill them all, God will know his own,)

“Christianity is a relationship between God and each individual person whom God has chosen, and the individual lives with and addresses his/her own sins – nobody else is held responsible, and that’s something the Bible teaches.”
That is exactly what Islam teaches. Not only that, but also that no one can intercede for an individual, no amount of regret, confession or act of contrition wipes away the deeds of a person. You will be judged solely on your actions not your feelings or words.

    ” In Islam, the tribe (family in the smallest denomination), is all important, and no shame must be brought upon the larger group by one individual, as then the group shares the shame (sins) as well;
honor killings of a daughter/sister as one example. ”
That is simply not true. It is a cultural thing mainly Arabic as they did not have ‘countries’ until the French and British arrived. Other areas, North Africa for instance had kingdoms and well defined countries and there many tribes lived together under and over-riding set of laws before and after the introduction of Islam.
    Nothing to do with Islam ;
    ” ….
“My husband is dead, my father is dead and I have no brother”. I told her.
“What of Muruwah?” she asked me. “Are you not an Arab?’
“I told you my men are all dead.”
    “Then it is your duty.”
Matt asked, “What is Muruwah? I have not heard of this.”
“Muruwah is, it is everything, a person who has ‘Muruwah’ is loyal, is forgiving, is generous, and doesn’t commit crimes. Muruwah is persistence, it is kindness, loyalty, bravery, it is integrity. Muruwah is being faithful to one’s family, to one’s tribe, it is the ethos. It is the very heart and soul of all the Arab people.
Muruwah is patience when you are suffering, courage when in battle, and always vengeance to protect the tribe. To always repay an insult. To always avenge harm to oneself or family. Always, always vengeance.
Muruwah is an unwavering, absolute determination to avenge any wrong done to the family and tribe, to protect the weak members, and defy all enemies. To defy enemies, to maintain the family’s or the tribe’s honour and to restore the honor. Every person must fight for tribe, for family any time at a moment’s notice and to obey the leader without question. To follow our leader.
It is what makes us what we are, it makes us Arab, if we are to be true to ourselves, true to our values, to our history.
Americans want always to be ‘the Boss’, to make you humble, to tell you what to do.
For an Arab person arrogance is a sign of nobility and humility is a sign of weakness.
Which is why the Americans with their “obey, comply, do as you are told, submit’ will never understand, they will never defeat the Arabs.
    ….”
In pre-colonial Arabia, your only support and defence was your tribe.

“Add to that that if a Muslim converts to Christianity, he can be killed.”
For many centuries if a person did not convert to Christianity (and a particular version of it) they could be killed. (Cromwell anyone? Being Catholic in England was a death sentence.)

“I implore you to recognize the Church as a lady and in the name of the Pope take the King as lord of this land and obey his mandates. If you do not do it, I tell you that with the help of God I will enter powerfully against you all. I will make war everywhere and every way that I can. I will take your women and children and make them slaves…The deaths and injuries you will receive from here on will be your own fault and not that of his majesty nor of the gentlemen that accompany me. —

” In depth Theology does not exist in Islamic teachings.”
Sufism is ONLY about in depth theology.
“The term Sufism was originally introduced into European languages in the 18th century by Orientalist scholars, who viewed it mainly as an intellectual doctrine and literary tradition at variance with what they saw as sterile monotheism of Islam.
Classical Sufi texts, which stressed certain teachings and practices of the Quran and the sunnah (exemplary teachings and practices of the Islamic prophet Muhammad), gave definitions of tasawwuf that described ethical and spiritual goals[note 1] and functioned as teaching tools for their attainment. Many other terms that described particular spiritual qualities and roles were used instead in more practical contexts.”

    “Islamic Theology
Diploma in Theology, Logic and Philosophy is a unique course dealing with one of the most intellectually demanding subjects in Islamic education. The complexity of these subjects is multiplied by the fact that throughout the Islamic history there have been many different schools of theology at odds with each other. This was given rise by the emergence of different philosophical approaches to knowing God and understanding revelations.”
(Sounds just like Christianity to me.)

“Only the mechanics (5 pillars) count,”
That is so wrong. The mechanics don’t count at all. They are only a means of concentrating the mind on God. Just as the Christian litanies and prayers do. The point is that instead of only once a week, Islam suggest concentrating 5 times (or more) a day. When you see a man whose home and family have been destroyed go down on his knees an hour later and thank God for his mercy and blessings, then you realise how important God is to this man. The words ‘Inshallah’ (if god wills it) and Alhamdulillah (Thanks be to God) are spoken hundreds of times a day. God is not some theoretical being in the sky (as he is to most Christians) he is an integral part of every breath.
Many westernised youth, nominally Muslims, do not practise or follow the tenets of Islam any more than most western youths do not follow (or even set foot in) the tenets of the church.

“A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit; you shall know them by their fruit!”
That is exactly the teaching of Islam.

The only difference between your understanding and a Muslims understanding is that like Jews, Muslims believe the messiah is still to come, and that Muslims believe that Muhammed was a prophet and was inspired by God to deliver the Quran as the direct word of God.
The other differences are cultural and tribal and nothing to do with religion.
Male genital mutilation, female genital mutilation, polygamy, retribution, sexual behaviour, punishment etc are all cultural and not religion. 90% of which are direct duplicates of the Torah and Bible.
Of course all cultures can rely on some book or word of some God to rationalise their behaviour.

    1. PJ – I just celebrated my 71st birthday, so it sounds like we are contemporaries. I certainly did not mean to imply that you were trying to “convert” me. I just wanted to make it clear to you where I was coming from, because most people have no world view, and if they do, they are unable to articulate it clearly, objectively and consistently.

As regards to witnesses to the “Prophet” speaking each word of the Qur’an, that may well be. The problem lay in the fact that Mohammed was a false prophet (IMHO), so witnesses to that are basically irrelevant. I may have misstated my case saying that the Qur’an is not considered divinely inspired in that that is the view of Christians and Jews. Muslims have been deceived in my estimate, and we could argue that one all day long without coming to a satisfactory conclusion. Of course, followers of Islam would find that an offensive comment, and would disagree vehemently, and even violently. Christians take criticism in stride all the time. That’s a key difference. Jesus said; “Be at peace with all men as best you can.” Where are the violent protests by Christians? You don’t see them. Do you see violent protests by Muslims – yes! In fact, in London, police officers (Bobbys) have been hacked to death and stabbed to death by Muslims. Christians (real Christians) don’t do that, and the Christian community never approves of it if a “professing” Christian does do something like that – they condemn it. The Muslim leadership is always slow and tacit in their condemnation of acts like that. It’s as if they are being perfunctory in their condemnation. Additionally, the Qur’an says it’s o.k. to lie to infidels and deceive them.

As regards the veracity of the Bible, when the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, they conformed virtually exactly to the current translations. You have been lied to about the Bible, and I do not have the time, inclination, or probably even the skill to put together a comprehensive history of the veracity and continuous thread of the Scriptures. God is capable of preserving His word, and it will not return to Him void. Therefore, we will have to continue to find ourselves, pardon the expression, on different pages of life and our understanding of it.

If you follow my BLOG, as it appears you do, you will see that I am a strong opponent of our false and treasonous intelligence agencies such as the CIA. I have no doubt that the U.S. State Department (manipulated behind the scenes by Rothschilds and Rockefellers) has, on multiple incidences, meddled in the nations of the middle east in particular, and the rest of the world in general. All is not as it appears to be, and we agree on that. Let me add, that the politics of the Roman Catholic Church and the Mother Earth worshiping Pope are exceedingly repugnant to me, and they are part of the problem – not the solution.

As regards the “tribal” interpretation I offered. Possibly the ideal points to something else, but the reality of how it’s working out in America is that there are large Muslim communities which are not assimilating and are very insular. Now, as I’ve mentioned before, there is the ideal, and there is the reality. There are the real and true, and the unreal and fake. You shall know them by their fruits.

The perspective on the Arab philosophy is interesting and conforms to my representations, and that may not be characteristic of all of the tribes and nations that are Islamic. It should be duly noted that 90% of those who destroyed the World Trade Center twin towers in New York wer Saudi Arabians. At one time, there were pretty peaceful relations with Iran. That may well be due to the U.S. installation of the puppet regime of the Shaw Reza Pahlavi.

Cromwell may well have killed a perfidious King. I’ve seen the movie with Richard Harris. It certainly depicted a really insidiously corrupt Monarchy in England. Was that an accurate characterization? I can’t say because I have not studied that history very closely. What I do know is that England’s royalty is a farce, and they are corrupt to the bone (no different that America’s “royalty” of Rockefellers, Kennedy’s, Clintons, Bush’s etc.). It never ceases to amaze me how the British fawn all over them. They are fabulously wealthy, and make fools of themselves in the process of embarrassing the people of Britain. Remember, one of my very good friends is a Limey. He did live in London at one point before moving to the U.,S.

To equate Islam with Christianity is to equate apples and oranges. You may interpret as you wish.

Your exposure to Christianity must be in relationship to either Roman Catholicism or the Anglican church – both of which are high church and a great distance from the Reformed theological positions and, in my humble opinion, the Bible.

Good fruit may be understood differently in the context of Christian teaching verses Islamic teaching. There is no reward in heaven for me if I kill my enemy. The foundation for the two is quite different, and they do not comport well with each other. I do not accept the universality of religion, nor the equivalency of Christianity to any other religion. These are liberal ideas (by liberal I mean leftist/Marxist/NWO thinking) which undermine Christianity – in my humble opinion, and as a Christian with Reformed Theological underpinnings, I believe I’m entitled to view it that way. If you cannot see the “difference” between Christianity and Muslim teaching, then that vast chasm has become invisible to you, and we will never be on the same page. Nonetheless, I enjoy the discussion, and appreciate your efforts to communicate – something most people are too sensitive (snowflakes) or lazy to pursue. If you ever come to America, I hope we can meet. I don’t anticipate ever going to England, but who knows? In the meantime, I welcome your comments.

    2. PJ – Please allow me to share a brief story with you that you may enjoy, or may find annoying? I have a friend who is very smart, and received a degree from a very prestigious university in an very critical field. In fact, it was so critical that the Federal government of the United States paid him for his thesis so he would not publish it. He currently is working for a large and powerful government entity, and is a very highly valued asset. (I may have already said too much, but hopefully not) Among his friendly acquaintances at the school were four Muslims. They knew he was a Christian, and were trying to get him to take a look at Islam (for conversion purposes) and the Qur’an. He acquiesced and learned to read Arabic. After a few months, they came to him again, and asked him what he thought.

He responded as follows: “I’ve read the Qur’an, and I have a couple of issues before I can consider converting to Islam. The Qur’an teaches that Mohammed is a, and the true and last Prophet of Allah (God). Is that correct?” His friends said “Yes.” He then continued; “Mohammed says that a true prophet cannot lie.” Is that true?”; he inquired. They said; “Yes.” He went on; “Mohammed said that Issa (Jesus) is a true Prophet. Is that true?” They again affirmed “Yes.” He then followed up with; “Mohammed said that Jesus was not the son of God. Is that true?” Again, “Yes.”

He then drove the nail in the coffin of Mohammed’s Islam with the following observation and question; “If Jesus is a true Prophet according to Mohammed, and Mohammed says that Jesus is not the son of God, and Jesus says that He is the Son of God, then either Mohammed is lying about Jesus being a prophet, or he is lying about Jesus not being the Son of God, but either way he is lying, and therefore, Mohammed cannot be a true prophet of God.”

Of the four Muslims who were listening to this, two threatened immediately to kill my friend. The other two remained silent, and came to him at a later date to find out more about Christianity.
