When World War I ended most of the world thought that there would never be a global conflict like it again, but some nations were very unhappy with the outcome of that war. One person in particular was Adolf Hitler, he resented the ending of the first world war. When Hitler invaded Poland with the German army he began the second world war. World War II had a major impact on many different nations around the world. The beginning of the war affected the people who lived in central Europe, while the Holocaust had a major impact on the Jewish population of Europe and the ending of the war affected many Japanese citizens.
World War II started when Hitler backed by the German army invaded Poland on September first, 1939. In the wake of World War I the Treaty of Versaille created Poland, some citizens were very upset about the way the treaty worked out. On August 6th 1945 the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. Than three days later the United States dropped a second bomb on Nagasaki, Japan (“World War II”). These two bombs caused a ton of damage to Japan and killed and injured many Japanese citizens. In the wake of these two bombs the Japanese government decided to officially surrender, and on September 2nd 1945 Japan formally surrendered and World War II was over. The bombs made a big change to the lives of many due to the radiation and the many deaths caused by the radiation.
The second world war made a major impression on people all over the world. Central Europe was a war torn area for many years, the Holocaust impacted the Jewish population and the ending of war had a big impact on the lives of the Japanese citizens. The influence of World War II plays a big role in shaping the future. Hopefully the world can learn from the mistakes made in the past and history will never repeat
