When I say police game basically my ideal game would be something like the GTA V LSPDFR mod. I want to be able to see the sentence they get, past arrests, warrants, foot chases, cop chases, possible shots fired, traffic stops, etc. I'm sick of games like hardline, or low graphical 'fill in the blanks' any response is appreciated! Literally LSPDFR has all these things check out some vids on it

Sierra had Police Quest game series in the 80s and 90s. The best graphics is vga, but I still go back to it
Nice I love diamonds in the rough I will definitely check them out. You have any other great gems non police related maybe strategy or anything really I'm open to almost all games.
Police Quest is available on Steam and works with Windows 10 by the way and you can find guides online. There are 911 and 112 operator where you dispatch emergency services. 112 is the sequel, so I recommend that.

SWAT 4
It's been a few years since i fired either of these up but... both games will penalize you on mission if the perpetrators are killed. 3 was a huge pain in the ass to get running on win 10, but 4 was no trouble. 4 does have issues with 21:9 resolutions, but 16:9 has fixes available.
[RoN](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ready_or_Not_(video_game)) has been touted as a spiritual successor to the SWAT series, and is in Steam early access currently. other than some questionable political "place holders" it's getting good reviews.

Plant the evidence. Shoot unarmed civilians for "officer safety" (youtube the officer safety video it's insane, they legit beat it in their heads that they are not there to help people and if they have any doubt that an individual is a risk to themselves or others - even if they don't see a weapon, to eliminate the target)
Turn off your body cam Sexually assault women when pulling them over for minor infractions. Beat up minorities and women
Lie during testimonies at court hearings
It would basically just be a darker grand theft auto if they make a realistic cop game.
I want a “from the street” simulator where I can beat women, sell heroin to damaged people to make a profit, kill rival gang members, and have countless children before abandoning them immediately! I think it would be a lot of fun.
The best part about it is that the public will laud me as a hero of the people!

This, no game publisher would want to take on the social and cultural issues that would go with a game where OFFICERS OF THE LAW are ending people's lives.
Games like GTA will always have little mini games but I doubt there will ever be a realistic COP simulator in our generation, unless it's a training program of some kind

Especially with how realistic games have gotten, you could’ve done this with cartoon type of graphics and a campy feel in the 2000s, maybe early 2010s, but shit is too real now, imagine how realistic Naughty Dog or Rockstar would be because they just release super real shit

Imagine 3 characters, 1: broke, troubled, Crooked LSPD COP/SWAT but has to follow some rules sometimes to stay a cop like maybe wear a mask
2: A rich bank robber that comes freely from San Andreas and Liberty city and finally 3: Hitman/ coke dealer/good character story Rich in Vice City. Story makes their paths cross they can go between sandy, SA, and VC.
They shoot dangerous criminals most of the time, good riddance.

Yeah, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers. It's in early access not much now but maybe one day it'll be like I imagine I might buy it right now they came out with a new free roam update.

I never played but I’ve seen a bunch of people compare the 2, one called it swat 4’s “spiritual successor. It does look really cool, I’m close to buying it, the only reason I haven’t is cuz I’ve been having a problem buying games and not playing them.
Though I can just refund it on steam like I always do….
how do refunds work
On steam you can refunds any game before 2 hours of play time or 14 days of ownership, whichever comes first. There’s no limit on number of refunds and no reason needed, I’ve gotten multiple refunds in a single day, refunded the same game multiple times.
Never been turned down as long as I was with the 2 hours/14 day limit.
The story mode of battlefield hardline comes to my mind instantly.
