The comic timing of Anna Faris is sharp as always, but it's wasted away in this predictable, boilerplate comedy.

Zipporah C "I really love this film I am black woman that doesn't really get to see an movie about celibacy journey of woman who won't raise her number of sexual partners because she believe 1 out of 20 couldn't be that bad for possible husband after losing her job and needing to rely on another person to help carry her in life which is hilarious and open secret about women who are attractive and can fit any guy they choose but it ask more detailed questions that women in society find hard to talk about without having to look inwardly and take accountability for their part to play of having very little to low standers when it comes to who they sleep with possible that bad but she realizes after meeting her neighbor across all played by Chris Evans that he is the one to settle down with but the audience don't get the big finish of seeing the wedding between Anna an Chris and I am hoping in sequel that we could see the memory flashback of her proposal from Chris and their wedding and were they are in the future but here's hoping for sequel! I rent this movie every 6 month im going to buy this week. a true eye opener game changer for women looking to face the mirror in funny and delicate way of healthy information passing through comedic theater experience. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review K N Loved this movie! Agree similar to all romcoms, it was predictable, but the performances and attention to subtle details that all superior comedies share — very entertaining and a very welcome surprise. Thanks for all the laughs! We'll done!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/31/23 Full Review Kyle M Slap a joke and play around with it before succumbing to further generic structural integration of a cheesy predictable rom-com plot that melodramatically halted and creatively declined the fun mostly generated by the cast, before their certain A-games, particularly the main pair Farris and Evans with the latter being the most humorously appealing for enjoyment. (B-) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review juli c so funny one of the best rom coms ive seen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/30/23 Full Review Ana C I think the film goes much further than the apparent stereotype and sexism, for me it portrays much more a social critique about the stereotypes and sexism in real life. In addition, it's amazing how the work manages to mix criticism with romance and comedy in a light way, so I consider it one of the best films of the genre I've ever seen. Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com Ally may start out as your typical bubble-headed man-chasing twenty-something dolt but, thankfully, underneath the surface she turns out to be a heck of a lot more than that. Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 27, 2012 Full Review Jim Schembri The Age (Australia) The film's satirical jabs at people addicted to Facebook and Twitter raises a few smiles in what is otherwise a straight-to-cinemas DVD release. Rated: 2/5 Oct 18, 2011 Full Review Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) Still, it's hard to dislike any vehicle for Faris -- the slob's Marilyn Monroe -- with her gift for dejection and her pliable face, which is like a hastily drawn cartoon. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 12, 2011 Full Review Irin Carmon The Muse/Jezebel It's hard to detect, in my eyes at least, anything here that is terribly new or exciting about this movie. Jun 8, 2021 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Impossibly generic, hopelessly contrived, and formulaic beyond reason. Rated: 4/10 Nov 30, 2020 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com The one surefire way that Anna Faris can make sure she dials up Mr. Right is to make sure she never takes him to see this film.
