Basically the Orange Livebox is a modem and router all in one. What you`re trying to connect is also a wireless router. Thus it will create a conflict between the two because both of them are DHCP servers. They might be running off with the same default IP so it wont work that easily.

I`m not really sure if you have a Livebox 1 or 2, but it really doesnt matter. Your main goal is to disable the DHCP server of the livebox and make sure they have different default IP addresses. Example Livebox is 192.168.0.1 and the TP link is 192.168.1.1. (Kindly refer at the back of each boxes to check if they are already set on different IP so that you won`t be wasting a lot of time.

Another thing is that you have to sync the settings of the Livebox to the TPlink router. Make sure you know how to run the Setup Wizard of the TPlink router to do this. Hi there. Thanks for your question. I`d like you to reset the network settings on your iPad, okay? Visit settings and then choose "General". Then you will find the option to reset your settings at the bottom of the general list. Tap this and then select "reset network settings". Once this process is completed I want you to turn the device off and then on again. Now you will need to try to connect to your wireless connection again. It will prompt you for a password since your settings have been erased and it SHOULD allow you to connect this time.

A man from Orange phoned me after I put the question to them. On the side of the Livebox are 2 buttons, just above the USB socket on mine, numbered 1 and 2. Press the number 1 button for 10 seconds until the light on the top starts blinking. You then have a short p[eriod (10 mins) to connect the Ipad, inputting the WEP code. I misread a D for a zero initially but on second attempt it connected, so check WEP code carefully.

May be something to do with the location of your iPad to the Livebox. I recently tried to connect a laptop using this method and failed until I did it in the same room as the Livebox, when it was successful. So try it in the same room first and if ok work away to another room/downstairs etc.
Other than that go online and ask your provider. Orange actually called me back after logging the problem.

You need to start fresh on your TP-link router. You have to reset it first by pressing the reset button using a paperclip and hold it down for 20 seconds then let it go.

Try again to reconnect it to your livebox. If it still does not work, please contact TP-link technical support number. Check this link :

Authntication problem is about the password not being type correctly. make sure that you put the password correctly. If you are not sure about the password and you own the router then I suggest you call tech support. if you do not own the router then contact the owner and get the password so you will be able to connect.

Solved the problem now. The (very) long password at the bottom of the Livebox needed to be typed in without the spaces.

Having trouble too did you press pairing button for at least 5 seconds all lights on box should flash.
