The food was absolutely delicious, and it was really great service. It was my partners birthday which I added a note to the booking and they surprised him with a birthday pudding. Best meal out we’ve had in a long time! Will go back.

We have been here a few times. We arrived in time for our booking and when we were seated we were told we only had 1hr 15 mins as they needed the table back. There were 4 of us. I know they were busy but service was then a bit slow (considering they wanted the table back). We were going to have dessert but decided we didn’t have time so left it. Just as well as by the time we got the bill our time was up. Don’t think 1hr 15 mins was an acceptable time frame.

Went for a meal early Saturday evening . Customer service was excellent and both myself and my wife really enjoyed the main course and dessert. The only thing that we had a minor niggle with (not the restaurant's fault) was we were very near a table of 7 girls 'out on the town' who were extremely noisy snd shouty (to the extent conversation was difficult!) . I would have asked to have been moved but the restaurant was extremely busy. Other than that it was very enjoyable.

I was given an afternoon tea voucher as a present, I think its appalling I was then given a bill to pay an extra £8.24, I have been to the ivy in Brighton with a voucher and have never had this, I will make sure all my family and friends are aware so they don't make the same mistake you cannot expect a customer to pay extra when their voucher particularly states what they are having. Everyone needs to keep well away from the Ivy Tunbridge wells

A Christmas gift from my son became a memorable luncheon at the Ivy in Tunbridge Wells in April. It was a quiet shopping morning in T Wells but when we entered The restaurant we were warmly greeted,. We were well looked after by our waiter, Henry, and had a very pleasurable, tasty, and enjoyable luncheon. We are looking forward to another generous offer by one of our other offspring in the not too distant future.!

I had a voucher for afternoon tea, unfortunately 2 of the 3 sandwiche choices I don’t eat, so I asked if they could change them But waitress went away to find out and never returned, therefore we ended up ordering from the main menu. I had the shepherds pie which on arrival was not very hot so I sent it back. On return it was nice. But on reflection I think it’s very overpriced

Great meal and excellent service. The waiter who oversaw our group ( at the corner table overlooking the High Street) was outstanding and helped to make the occasion very agreeable.

Awful. It was my wife’s birthday and the service was slow (45 minutes to take our order despite the restaurant being half ful), my wife’s chicken Milanese was burnt and had to be sent back and my son’s steak wasn’t great either. We’ve had good meals at The Ivy before but this was dreadful. It fealt like they were on a skeleton staff and just didn’t care.

We came to The Ivy as a birthday treat for my girlfriend. Our starters were amazing, the sourdough loaf, incredible. Thats the good news. My sirloin steak was very very good, however my girlfriends scallops on risotto, was very poor, the scallops were good, however the risotto was disgusting and tasted foul. We mentioned this to the waiter when he cleared the plates, however we don't believe fully understood what we were saying as English was not his first language (not being racist here, just factual). He kind of smiled and shrugged his shoulders. We did notice that when he showed the plate to another chap in a navy coloured suit jacket. Within 5 minutes, my girlfriend started to feel unwell and then proceeded to be physically sick in the toilets,having been away from the table for 10 minutes or so. As some kind of compensation, we were offered a complimentary coffee, but we didn't want to make a large fuss at the table, as the restaurant was busy and felt uncomfortable by having to speak loudly.

Not the first time we have eaten here. The reason being, it has always been excellent. The staff, the food, the service and the 'Toast to Spring' is very good value for money.

Had a lovely hen do brunch which needed to include 2 babies/prams and a toddler/high chair! The staff were lovely and accommodating and made the whole thing as stress free as possible. The food and drinks were fab and arrived really quickly

We had an fabulous afternoon tea on Saturday, the ambience, service and a real treat a whole stand of Gluten Free sandwiches and cake all to myself! One for the memory box, we will definitely be going back!

I will not be returning to The Ivy again. Their churn and burn service totally ruined our social gathering. After 1.45hrs we were warned we had to leave the table in 15 mins. We hadn’t even ordered dessert. We had 3/4 of a bottle of wine left. They stuck the cork back in the bottle for us to take our wine with us!!!! We settled the bill and moved on to another restaurant for cheese and desserts. I’m pleased business is good for The Ivy but it’s not an enjoyable experience and they ruined our lunch.

Hi Terry, Saturdays are our busiest day of the week, with bookings back to back we try our best to make sure all of our guests have an enjoyable experience, we don't like to cause delays for the next guests coming in. We are sorry to hear that your afternoon was cut short however all information about the table allocation are in the confirmation email/text and phone call beforehand to ensure the whole day runs as smoothly as possible. This is a very small branch of The Ivy. The service wasn't great. We waited 10 minutes for a member of waiting staff to come and take our order. When the member of staff did come over she wasn't particularly apologetic when I pointed out our wait. The staff seemed disinterested in the customers. Food was ok, a bit over-priced for what it is, but that's The Ivy for you.

Table wasn't ready at allotted booking time which normally wouldn't be a problem but was very busy. Service a little slow at times with periods of time where there were no staff to be seen at all. However the afternoon tea was delightful and well presented, the dry ice being a nice touch. The decor is lovely but the atmosphere is very loud, you cannot easily have conversations with your table. Food was good quality, scones were delicious. Takeaway boxes are provided if its a little too much to eat in one go.

So when booking asked if any allergies, my son is gluten intolerant, waiter was not sure if he could have things like the creamed spinach which I though he could, had pine nuts on the top. It was his Birthday too, very lovely he had a birthday dessert bought out for him but it was a profiterole that he of course can not eat as contains flour 🤦‍♀️

Hi Tara, thanks for choosing us to celebrate such a lovely occasion! On the bottom of our menu is a QR code which helps to aid those with allergies, this is pointed out upon seating. Our team will also always triple check with the kitchen before ordering to be on the safe side. In terms of the dessert, profiteroles are given as standard as a birthday surprise, it sounds as though he didn't know who's birthday it was, we can only apologize!

Great food and Service, stuck next to a table of 4 Blokes who were so loud which spoilt the day. Not the Ivy's fault, they had to put up with them as well, people just need to respect others

First time we had been to this particular Ivy and the waiter put us on a table with no table cloth. The table was laid out with cutlery, glasses etc but no cloth. Every other table had table cloths so thought this very strange. It was an old wooden table. There were plenty of other tables we could have sat at. Attention to detail obviously lacking from the waiter. A bit disappointing.

A buzzy atmosphere but I think they were short staffed and the kitchen was overwhelmed today. We had to chase up some missing orders several times. Food was only just warm enough, probably from sitting on the pass too long. Staff were pleasant and friendly, trying to do their best. Delicious but didn’t feel ‘special’.

We had wonderful experience from start to finish. Excellent communication and service from staff, and the afternoon tea was better than any top London venues that I have ever been to. My guests and I were there for a multiple celebration, and it was a truly memorable occasion enjoyed by us all. Thank you for all your expertise Highly recommended

4 people had Shepherds pie - not hot- I (woman) told supervisor who fobbed us off. The 3 different vegetable dishes were also barely warm.Testing gravy with my finger - cold - complained (a man) to same supervisor, he took it away and came back with very hot gravy in extremely (and unsafely)hot metal gravy jugs. The Starters were delicious. I have been to The Ivy in London, Windsor, Wimbledon and Marlow - all meals were very good.

I love the Ivy TW but our initial drinks order always takes an age. The rest is great.
