Besides participating in seti@home for several years, I've been interested in ET in other ways. What isn't explained there is that what 'it is' that is 'waning' are the front line antibodies that your immune system produces for an infection.

Meanwhile, what is just as important is that the longer lasting 'memory' part of your immune system will still be primed to produce new antibodies quickly for any new infection. You still get a 'head start' to head off or at least recover from infection far faster than without the vaccine.


A further part to the story not mentioned in that article is that good healthy caution is still needed to stay healthy!

Once again I say that there should be an upper age limit for those that lead/govern.
